I was looking for some unique gifts to bring home and decided to stop and check things out. Unfortunately, this little gem was closed on Sundays. But to my SURPRISE as I was getting back into my car, a car drives up and I see she unlocks the front door of the store. I immediately get out of my car and asked if it was OK to come in and look around. Turns out it's Shelia! She happened to stop into take care a few little things in the store. She was incredibly welcoming and started to tell me the story behind her art. Turns out Sheila paints her own art and she does an amazing job! I loved everything about her selection. Definitely a must if you are in South Carolina. Let's just say I walked out with two full bags of beautiful hand made unique gifts, at affordable prices. Trust me if I had more room in my suitcase, I probably would've brought the entire store with me! Thank you Sheila for your Southern charm. Can't wait to come back!

We were looking at some items and I was holding two things I thought about purchasing. Suddenly the lady working there came and said "let me take those to the counter for you" and basically took them out of my hands as her eyes were looking into the bags we were holding. We were stunned as we had just arrived and we hadn't really even began to shop. She didn't do this to anyone else while we were there. It was so incredibly offensive I just got the items back from her and left. My daughter and I discussed it and I went back and told her how offended I had been. She apologized that I felt offended but it fell flat and I don't think she was actually sorry. It was so weird and disappointing. Needless to say, this is no longer my favorite store in Tryon.

The back of the store is dedicated to "Case" knives it's probably the largest collection of the brand I've ever seen, it's very impressive. After walking around the store we did a short self-guided tour of the farm, I don't know where all the goats were hiding but they do have a small tractor pulling a number of carts for little kids. They also have a pretty cool gem mining operation. It's worth the stop if you driving across Highway 64 there's a large elevated water tank marking the one lane entrance so it's hard to miss. It's kinda funny, you can once again buy candy cigarettes that once were pulled from the market because someone thought they promoted smoking to kids now it's nostalgic...
