When they rebuild the school just a little way down the road I was worried that it would loose some of the small town charm the old one had but I was mistaken. When my children were old enough they started at the new school and low and behold two of the teachers who taught when I was there, was still teaching. Long story short, College Grove Elementary School receives top marks each year from the state for the level of education they provide our children. It was a real pleasure as my two went all the way through from Pre-K to fifth grade. I would highly recommend if you are looking for a good school, College Grove is an excellent choice.

I chose this campus because it was close, not too big, and they offered classes at various times of the day (including night classes). All of the instructors that I had were truly top-notch. I can't think of a single one that were not trying their very best for their students. The support staff were always friendly and helpful. I attended Vidyo, online, traditional, and hybrid classes with Columbia State. Overall, I had a great experience and completely loved my time there. My favorite memory is having a night class with my son who was attending Columbia State at the same time. Go Chargers!

Professors most of the time do not lecture on anything that remotely jas to do with the class your taking. Given study guides for chapter tests that do not line up with the chapters (Example: Test over chapters 1-5. Study guide has questions from chapter 8). Advisors are constantly trying get you sign up for classes that don't line up with your degree nor do you need to attain your degree. Just a money racket to get more money for classes not needed. Not a good school to really learn a career. Pay your money/show up/listen to people push their personal agendas and finally get a degree that you may have had 1 class over.

Teachers and students are kind and parents are nice.Except some Japanese parents. The other day, after school, my child was playing in the school yard.A group of Japanese mothers, who were a short distance away, said to my child, "We don't want you to play here with our children." My child did not do anything, just playing normally. The day after those words were said, My child was so traumatized that my child could no longer go to school. If they had something to say, they could have gone directly to me, the parent, but they didn't. They don't have the courage. Or do they just want to bully the weak? Just throwing a hateful word is unforgivable, but an adult, in a group, does it to an elementary school student. What are they thinking? There were several adults there, and no one questioned it? The place where they were playing was a public school yard. Why should they be told such a thing when my child were playing in own school yard? The Japanese mothers are said to be making small talk with a group of people every day after school while letting her children play. Do they think they have the schoolyard all to themselves? If they don't want my child to play together, why don't they play in their own yard or send them to a private school instead of a public school? Because of the hateful words of some crazy Japanese parents, my child's heart has been scarred for life. The school itself is a very good school, and if you don't get involved with those people, you will have a very good school life.
