SHADY BUSINESS!! STAY AWAY and not very helpful staff except Marinna in the front office. We came…read morein with a trailer full of aluminum, brass, and stainless. We had an older gentleman separating all our items. He priced our load at $209.25. I was not satisfied as I knew what items I brought in. So I asked for help with Shannan, and she was rude and not very helpful. So I went to discuss the prices with the same gentleman, and I noticed them separating my load into different piles. Clean aluminum. Then he noticed I caught them and back peddled and weighed them for a separate ticket of $22.40. I know we had a lot more than $230 on that trailer. See pictures of items and of the stack they pulled out from one of my bins. Marinna said I could talk to management, but I think the public needs to know there is a possibility that you will encounter Shady business here.

It was an unusual project (an inline skate track) which took 1202 square yards of asphalt. We had quite a few companies do estimates and almost went with someone that would have been a huge mistake. In an age where it is hard to find a reputable company, I have to write about our experience with Connell... I contacted Connell and Paul Hunt came out and went over the whole process of laying down high-quality, long-lasting asphalt. I double checked everything that Paul told me and Paul was completely accurate. As we were becoming more interested, Paul gave me a stack of reference letters and a couple of phone numbers of past customers that I could actually talk to and look at Connell's work. I was very impressed with what I saw, read and heard from past clients that I decided to hire Connell. Everything Paul said was backed up with real examples and that was not the case with others that had done estimates. Paul brought out various people from Connell that were going to manage different aspects of the project. I met Ed Wells, Tim Crosby, Richard Vandyke, Jason Trego, and Brian Neergaard. All of them were professional, knowledgeable and seemed excited to do the project. Then Paul Hunt managed the whole process. I found Paul to be completely professional, personable, responsible, organized and honest--everything you want in a project manager! The project is completed and it came out beautiful! The whole "Connell team" did an excellent job. Then to top this whole experience off, I was informed the other day that the actual price came in lower than the initial bid, so Connell discounted the final price! AMAZING!! We found Connell to be, hands down, the most honest, reputable, talented, quality driven company we have ever done business with and it is family owned!

When we replied to their email letting them know that their website said otherwise and that they might want to improve it so they may deliver better customer service. We decided to check to see if they were part of the Better Business Bureau, and it turns out they are not. Which means they're not regulated by the government, which seems pretty sketchy to me.

So far I have bought 3 cords of firewood from this company and all 3 times I have been happy…read more Jeremy calls me back pretty fast and always squeezes me in even though I live in Lakewood. The first time there was a mixup and he left the wood on the pallets that he normally charges extra for. The people that drop off the wood are always professional and leave the wood right where you tell them. His invoices always outline all of the charges and I have yet to see a hidden fee. If you live south of 36 and 25 there is an extra delivery fee however I'm ok with that because it's left in my driveway exactly where I want it. He also makes sure the pieces he sends are the right length for a wood stove and not a fireplace. He also gives discounts to repeat customers. This year he ran out of oak so he substituted pecan for the same price. Yes I can get it cheaper but I either I can't get it delivered or they charge a ridiculous fee. Honestly if you think a business is shady because they aren't part of the BBB, you're dumb. Being part of the BBB is voluntary not mandatory. I bet most of the establishments you visit are not part of the BBB.
