Because you may not know it, but 99% of the tree services you call out to evaluate your trees are only too quick to tell you that your tree is not healthy and must be removed. Why? Because those services also sell tree removal, which is very expensive. It also is the primary focus of their business. So by making a judgement that a tree "cannot be saved" they know you are most likely, since you already have them there, that their quote for tree removal is the one you will accept. The dilemma is that all too often the tree was NOT in need of removal, but you are told that because removal is a much higher price tag than tree treatment.
