I only stopped because…read moreI was in the area and needed a potty break but I ended up leaving with a cart of stuff I may or may not have needed. Walmart has been rolling out remodeled stores that they are calling the Store of the Future. They are sinking more than half a billion dollars into upgrades to create a more modern shopping experience. It's costs approximately $750,000 to transform each store. 150 stores will be upgraded over the next five years. One of the first stores made their debut in The Villages. This supercenter store seems much larger than your typical Walmart. It is spotless and the organization is more aligned to an upscale department store. Remodeled stores have new paint, new signs, more shopping carts, a new checkout design at the front of the stores and more space for both shoppers and employees. The pharmacies will be increased and the vision center will be updated. The grocery pickup and delivery programs are expanded along with the produce and deli sections, an added new Grab & Go section, and new community-focused food and merchandise offerings. This store was very crowded but I was impressed. I was floored to see actual displays! Clothing options were vast and organized neatly by size. I could have shopped here all day. For once was my cart was not a hunk of junk but rolled and maneuvered smoothly. While there was a line to check out it moved very quickly. I had my choice of a paper receipt but I also had it texted to my phone. No more lost or smudged receipts, genius! If this is what Walmart has in store for the future bring it on. By the way you can do much more than just shop for needed items and groceries. You can also get your phone fixed, do your taxes, get your nails done, check your vision, and eat at Churro Mania and Charley's Cheesesteaks. This Walmart is not much better than my local store. The only thing I am disappointed in is that it isn't closer to me!

Clean, well organized, well staffed with many kind and helpful employees (sometimes exhausted,…read morethough, and probably for good reason; I wish pay were better in FL and the system more egalitarian than what it is). The progeny loved the veggie sushi rolls. The fellow who was making them was really nice. Most rolls are only $5 on Wednesdays! They were so good we came back on subsequent days, though they were more expensive. My snotty take: This is about as good as supermarket sushi gets. The rice and fish are both fresh and of decent quality or above. We've tried a lot of it.) They have some less usual to us offerings of Argentinian empanadas at the deli counter, cheese arepas (Colombian style, I think), and papas rellenas. (This might be the norm somewhere in NYC, but not on the UWS, sadly, so we found this novel and wonderful.) Empanadas, etc... were fair out of the case, but significantly better when refreshed in an air fryer. the arepa was a tad chewy and rubbery -- but maybe that was on me since I purchased it at the end of the day just as the store was about to close. There's a fair selection of organic produce, a bakery that made our kiddos and convives happy, a decent selection of just about anything you could want of a supermarket and more. Excellent choice if you're in the area and in the market for groceries.

I'm predisposed to liking Winn-Dixie: My progeny and I love the book, "Because of Winn Dixie"; my…read moreparents and I knew the founding family; and I have a lot of nostalgia for the regional grocery chain, which in my parts used to carry that hard-to-find Ale-8-One soda. This North Miami Beach / Sunny Isles location would not rank among my favorite locations. First off, the good: - Staff were really nice. So, so nice, including to the incredibly obnoxious, entitled, Orthodox family shopping at the same time as us, who would certainly have tried my patience. - The store is open until 11 p.m. -- the only reason why we ended up there after our late, delayed flight. Nothing else was open. - There are some organic produce offerings on offer, and some offerings that would be harder to find in our neck of the woods like flan and mango or coconut yogurt. The less-than-good: - Prices for many items were unreasonable for the quality. This is from a New Yorker who lives on the UWS. - Produce seemed to be quite limited in range and of lesser quality than what we are used to. We purchased some essentials for the time being, but I think we're going to have to hit up a Whole Foods or Publix tomorrow to grocery shop properly.

The same thing happens with the orange bags and strawberries -- half of them are rotten. Sometimes they have deals like 3 for $10, but all of them are already bad. If you go to the candy section, you have to be careful because some products even have mold on them. The ham they pre-slice in the deli section turns slimy within two days. The quality is terrible overall, except maybe for canned products. The customer service is also awful. Nobody seems interested in helping you, except for maybe one or two employees who work there. Honestly, it would be better if they closed that place and opened something else instead. It's unbelievable that even though I live so close, I have to drive all the way to Publix in Sunny Isles just to buy groceries.

Well seasoned and juicy. *5 stars Made a fresh juice- beets/ orange/ginger... SO YUMMY and affordable *5 stars The sides lack in flavor. Very basic and dry. red crema potato with garlic (dry and flavorless) Plantains (over cooked and dry) Pumpkin (no flavor but was scooped right) Veggies (soggy over cooked no flavor) Mashed potatoes (lumpy and was not tasty) Spaghetti and meatballs - yuck. I bought this meal back as it tasted like water. Basically no sauce or flavor. Meatballs are sad and I was really unhappy with this meal. The manager was not happy that I returned this food. I asked for another chicken as that was actually good. She said no I could get meatballs and a side. I asked for double mash. So in the end 4 meatballs with mash. It was lackluster to say the least. The chicken is what had me come back a 2nd time. But again the sides sucked and I think this will be my last time visiting that cafeteria. The juice was great from them.

The produce itself is always fresh and very fairly priced. They also always have weekly specials that they even post on their instagram. Their staff is so friendly. In the back they have a juice bar, and a section that serves hot food. The juices are all so FRESH. They even offer a happy hour at the end of day where they are half off. They also offer some yogurt parfait and chia seeds yogurt along with salads that are already made to grab for quick convenience. Where the hot food is has breakfast options along with some meals which they change that vary in fried fish, meatballs, grilled chicken, etc. I've had the pleasure of having a large range of their breakfast from the bagels with eggs and turkey to lox bagels and avocado toast. Everything is SO FRESH and so fairly priced I really want to stress fairly priced because i feel like this is what it should cost to eat fresh, whole foods. So thank you so much to the folks at Mr. Fresh for providing a standard. Can't wait to continue going here.
