The service was amazing. The food was great. The chef knew that we were Iraqi, so he brought us special pickles from Najaf, Iraq on the house. We just came in for a quick bite before heading to the airport, and left so happy. It must be the Middle Eastern hospitality, but we will be back. The prices in the market are reasonable. They sell a lot of hookah supplies for reasonable prices. A box (20 rolls) of Three Kings Charcoals are only $15. Whole Foods sells 1 roll for $3 and I found a smoke shop on Biscayne that sells 1 roll for $5. Just keep in mind that keeping prices fair keeps customers coming back. read more

I went to the market side of this establishment. I found that they had many products that could be used for Mediterranean and various Arabic cuisines. The market was very clean and well lit and all products were organized beautifully with clearly displayed prices. I was served by an employee who may have been the owner. The set-up of this place reminds me of Al-Salaam and their market next door in Plantation, considering that this place is also a market-restaurant combo. As far as the market go, they stock every staple. They have their own bakery where they make their own sfihas and manakish (levantine pizzas) of several types (which saves me a drive from going further north to Noor bakery). And they have a grill where they make shawarma in the counter by where they stock and display the halal meats. For a market, it's pretty well-rounded, which is primarily the reason why it's my favorite in South Florida. The only thing that's missing from the market may be good selection of Middle Eastern sweets, although some of the classic sweets could be ordered in the adjoining sit-down restaurant. For a Middle Eastern market in Miami-Dade county, I'd say this is the best, although I do still think at times about the old standby of the Jerusalem Market (which is Lebanese despite the name) much farther down the street toward the beach for their prepared foods. Having lunch with my son every week, we try to go to new places. I was in the mood for Mediterranean. My son found this place and we decided to try it out. We've eaten at many, many Mediterranean restaurants. This is one of the best places I've ever eaten! The portions were huge, so beware before ordering 7 different appetizers! We ordered the tabouleh, falafel, foul madumus, kodseih, a Greek salad, and a side of fries. The kidseih was HUGE! It could have fed 4-5 people. I'm not a fan over tabouleh, but my son made my try it and it was the best we've ever had! My Greek salad was huge too. We had leftovers if everything! The staff were very friendly. After receiving the recommendation from Samar R. for the perfect spot to source my Middle Eastern goods, I arrived right after traffic hour and browsed the aisles for my treasured bottle of Rose Water. I couldn't leave without a tub of Lebanese Labneh so I picked a small bag of pita bread to pair it with. Aside from their market, they also serve daily specials prepared at the counter or in their dining area. Aside from the bottles of Rose Water, I also grabbed one of the Orange Blossom Waters too. They are highly concentrated so only two teaspoons is needed per serving. I love the endless array of eggplant goods! I decided at the last minute to add an order of Tabbouleh to my purchase. It was made to order and tasted extremely fresh. The lemon juice ratio with the crunchy and zesty parsley made a perfectly rejuvenating accompaniment to my dinner. Since I was on a rose-associated vibe, I grabbed the milky-looking rose water drink with boba in it. That was the best decision I've made all week. Not only was it incredibly delicious, it was replenishing on so many different levels. The customer service was very good, they were really nice and answered all my questions. I'm so glad I found this place. I can't wait to come back and nourish my inner habibi needs. The selection of cheese here is honestly the closest thing to heaven I've ever witnessed. read more

The service was nice despite the wait for the kibbeh (I don't mind waiting when it's fresh, which it was not; it was frozen in the center when i got it.... and i have sensitive teeth so that was not fun). My only issue was the knafeh which is what I came for. It tasted nothing like what I hav come to know. I didn't taste any rose but rather overwhelming vanilla flavor. The crust didn't even seem like the usual pastry crust but rather an ordinary pie crust (texture was similar to soggy graham cracker crust). I haven't been able to find great Knafeh in south Florida, and to date, the best I've had was in Paterson, NJ. But this was so bad, I really could've gone to Whole Foods for a basic desert and would've been more satisfied. Sad thing was, I was going to bring some to my mom to try for the first time but I couldn't let this place ruin her first experience with middle eastern foods. read more

At Aladdin you can get most of what you need for Middle Eastern recipes. I saw filo dough in the freezer. They have a nice variety of fetas, including Dodoni, a good Greek brand. Spices galore - I refilled my sumac and zatar. If you want a tiny bite to tide you over, don't miss the fatayah - Syrian/Lebanese spinach or meat pies. I had the spinach and it was spot on. Came at lunchtime today for the first time. The place is half market and half restaurant. They have a good selection of different pita sandwiches and entrees, including my favorite kafta kebab. The kafta kebab was perfectly seasoned and it came with a yogurt sauce. Typically I don't care for the yogurt sauce, but theirs was delicious. It also came with a rice and salad. The service was very helpful and fast. It is counter service, but then there is a dining area where they'll bring your food to. The prices are great, my meal was $12 and most of the sandwiches are around $6. I took a quick browse around the market and had to resist the temptation to buy many yummy looking treats. read more

Rub the magic lamp and have a treat from Aladdin Mediterranean Supermarket! Yet another spot that I have been wanting to try ever since I moved to North Miami and work in the Miami Gardens area, Aladdin Mediterranean Supermarket stands up to all the hype I have heard from other fellow Yelpers in the area and from areas far away. The half restaurant and half supermarket truly brings all the different flavors of the middle east right here to the North Miami area. Finding this spot right on 163rd street is no problem and parking is rather simple any time you may desire to indulge. I had previewed the menu before hand as I always do and the selections were vast. From meats to falafal to fish to all sorts of typical middle-eastern delights, Aladdin knows how to satisfy any palate. On this first trip, I was with my wife and her cousin and we each had something very different. My wife's cousin had the falafel pita sandwich, of which I almost jumped over the table ready to feast on, it did look that good. It was a bit on the modest size, but I know the taste and fill-me-up factor was great. Next from the menu was my wife's rib-eye platter which came with a side of Israeli salad and french fries. It always puzzles me that french fries are served so commonly with middle-eastern dishes, however I suppose the worldly delight is loved by all. Oh, I did not try this as I do not eat red meat and so I cannot comment on the taste, however my wife did say it was cooked perfectly. I had the grilled chicken kabob platter that was served with a Basmati rice and Israeli salad. This plate was fantastic and a great value for the price, as we found all the plates to be. We also had an appetizer of Hummus for the table, which was to die for and went so very well with the fresh pita bread that was brought to our table almost as soon as we had sat down. Huge win for restaurants that do this. Overall, the value was there, the taste surely was there and the friendly staff made this dining experience a great win. One thing to consider is that the kitchen stops making platters at 8PM, even though the place closes at 9PM, so be cautious if going later in the evening as we had tried to do so previously. This is perhaps the best place to go in this area for so many things. Beef Salami and Sausage is something that I have been trying to find for quite some time now. This store and restaurant has a lot to offer the casual customer and is worth a visit just to see what they have to offer. The people who work here are very friendly and are eager to make you feel welcome. If you like the Hooka then this place is for you! The most, diverse, and complete supplies I have found any place so far. The cost is on average with other places in the area then to top it off, everything in the store is HALAL. I went to this place with my family to have lunch in the restaurant part. It's took them 15 minutes to get us a table for 10 with a empty restaurant it took that long. They brought over Pita bread and a olive bowl which which they give complimentary but that took 30 minutes to come to the table. The food took around 45 minutes to come out to our table and at they didn't even know what was on the plates they were serving us. They gave my husband and I the wrong food and took back the food 3 different times and the 4the time still had the wrong food brought out to us. The servers 2 females didn't even speak English well and didn't understand anything we would ask for to the point when my mother in law asked for tea they had to bring 3 different people to figure out what we were asking for. There was no table touches at all out water jug was empty the whole time we were there and none of the servers even bothered to ask at all. The pictures online aren't even accurate how place looks at all. I was very disappointed in this place and honestly won't be coming back. read more

Great food with a side of sexual harassment! Every time I walk in here the guy behind the counter has to hit on me and my female coworkers. I've even walked in here with my boyfriend and still was checking me out. As a store/supermarket, this place deserves Four or Five Stars. As a restaurant, it probably deserves 3 stars at most, so I had to go with Three Stars in the end. The selection is fantastic and the prices on food cannot be beaten. The staff are, for the most part, friendly. There is one younger man who seems to scowl at customers a lot, which is not really ideal. But whatever, you expect a degree of that sometimes. The food is good. When it is fresh, it is AMAZING. Otherwise, it is good. I have ordered Chicken and Lamb/Beef Shawarma sandwiches and they are always good, but only sometimes fresh. Also, sometimes the meat sits on the vertical broiler with the broiler switched off for what seems like at least half an hour. With the outside being cooked and the inside still being raw, this is not healthy nor is it recommended. I have ordered Kunaifa several times and while it is delicious, they heat it up in the microwave (as I imagine they do to a few other items as well), and it kind of ruins the dish. I would rather have it cold than microwaved, but maybe that's just me. The Hummus is delicious, and the Baklava is on point as well. Great selection of food in the supermarket itself. I always go here for Pickled Turnips, Tahini, Sesame Seeds, Helva, and Ackawi or Nabulsi Cheese. Excellent selection and fairly reasonably priced! Love this place, just hope they start to show the food a little more love on the freshness side of things! read more
