The check out guys were wonderful! I'm not orthodox just Jewish and dress like it- my boyfriend is not Jewish- and looks like it- I showed the bf around, got him to shop and I bought him some parve chocolate goodies too. Idk who the kind older mensch is but he told us that we are welcome back any time and so warmly that after getting in the car, I jumped right out the car to go shop some more. Left the bf in the car with his fresh French baguette and then I went back in for some egg challah, date spread, more of those fruit rolls and parve chocolate bars.. and at the check out- another kind gent was so great cause he suggested i take the freshly baked parve bourekas package and let me tell you they were soooo good that the bf had three! Even after munching a quarter way through his "perfect" French baguette- The ambiance is inviting, organized, delicious and friendly. read more

Sylvia's Kosher is a great little market with so much to offer. The Kosher chicken and ground beef were fresh and reasonably priced. I was happy to find my favorite brand of hummus right inside the door. I picked up two fresh pita that was still warm. I also got Italian eggplant appetizer, lemons and fresh parsley. I will be making Sylvia's a regular stop when I'm in the area. read more

After shopping at many kosher supermarkets. I started shopping only at Sylvia's. Got to chat a few times with Steven and Yocheved, they are so sweet, and they truly appreciate their customers. A true family business! The meat is INCREDIBLE. The quality is outstanding! The prices are great! Very fresh! I also love the cold cuts from them, very nicely sliced, fresh and cheap! I don't even live in Hollywood, but I drive especially to Sylvia's for whatever I need! The best kosher supermarket ever! read more

Very good prices on kosher meat and delicious deli to go! I'm new to the area and I really love that I found this place!

I have tried several Kosher markets in the area. I like them all. Sylvia's food was good, especially the meats. Maybe it was an off day but the 2 individuals at the check out were NOT warm and inviting. They would not even engage is light conversation. It felt very awkward, but I didn't go to this market for the atmosphere - I went for the food. The prices were a bit higher than other markets in this area but the meat was amazing. I will return to try other items. read more

I like silvia's market one issue must of the items don't have prices market. you have to get them bringing to the register to they do check the price for you this is terrible I don't know way?maybe it is no enough personal ....other then this I recommend it the products are fresh , they have many good stuff the pitas , the chabah is very good....., read more

We love Sylvia's, and always drive from a half hour away to purchase our kosher meat there ( even though there are many stores within a 5 minute drive). They have by far the freshest meat and best cuts of any south Florida butcher, if you don't see what you need at front, ask one of the butchers and they'll gladly prepare it for you. They also have a nice selection of groceries and kosher wines. The owners are always so friendly and extremely appreciative. Highly recommend for any kosher meat consumers. read more

Everything there is a fortune so don't bother buying anything other than the meat - the people who work there are rude and have attitudes Every time I go they tell me that I need to put the meat in the freezer if I don't use it today ... I've bought meats in many stores and I've never heard that one from any grocer before - meat and chicken last 3 days in the fridge but I guess at Sylvia's they don't have fresh meats Also everytime you call the guy there says call later I'm at the register I can't help you They'll also tell you they'll get whatever you need by the end of the week but that's total bull never happens ... read more

Sylvia's is disgusting. Rude, awful personnel lately at check out. Just left my order and walked out. I will not tolerate abusive behavior from a check out guy. The woman used to be great. The people at prepared are nice and helpful. But, a miserable guy at check out, abusive and insulting made sure I will never ho there again. read more

I wasn't too comfortable with this grocer. It was not very clean and many things did not have prices. to make matters worse, the male cashier was entering the prices the old fashioned way. So, basically, he can enter whatever price he felt like and you will be none the wiser! And i had a full cart of meat and other items! at the end he looked at me and said he will give me 10% off the whole purchase. hmmm. pretty sure i paid for that anyway. don't think i'll be back... read more

The food is good but the place needs to be cleaned up... Not a huge selection of things but there is a fair quantity.

The worst customer service I met in Holiday area he doesn't know how to behave to his customer they scream and pick up their voices to the customers that don't even do or think that's a mistake there's a way to ask to change the attitude of the customer there's a way to talk to the customer the customers over everything with all your customers and you won't have a business you have to learn how to behave do your customers !!! read more

Nice kosher market off Stirling. I've stopped by Sylvia's in the past to pick up their prepared foods, which are generally pretty good (I will say the rotisserie chickens are particularly delicious). Prices are about average. The store is not very large at all, so you should come back at another time if they are very busy, but it has a decent selection of kosher items and is worth checking out. read more

Walk in to Steven at the door and you will get a big smile and hi how are you. Silvia her self works there and will do what ever you need. Fresh lamb fat for cooking is the best the chicken are priced fair and the cooked food is fair as well, if your looking for a family type place that treats you well even if they don't know you Silvias is the place. Last thing I will say when I was about to pay the guy helping me name Ira would not charge me for the candy that my son had "it's on us thank you for shopping here" can't get better then that. read more
