Recently (2013) for a Christmas present I wanted to purchase a gift certificate for my father who has his private pilot but hasn't flown in many years. When I called I spoke to the owner Priscilla who was very helpful in answering questions about what airplane would "fit" my father the best, as he's gained a few pounds since his flying days! We agreed on the plane and I moved forward with the purchase. I was pleased to hear that the gift certificate was able to be emailed to me, which saved me the trip out to the airport a few days before Christmas. Here's the best part about my experience... Priscilla called me back and told me that there was no need for me to use my credit card. Apparently I had left some money on my account from when I was a student there and she would just use that credit. Remember...I haven't flown there in 13 years! Talk about a reputable business owner! Her response was, no need to use your credit card...Merry Christmas. I don't think you can ask for anything more in a small business owner than someone who is honest and upstanding, and that has been my experience with Eagles View. I'm not one to post reviews much, but this experience left me feeling like I should do my part to let others know of my experience.

Door randomly opens during flight so that makes me wondering about the condition of their OLD planes. No heat in the winter and no water for some of it. I started with aspirations to get my…read moreprivate in 6 months but that was squashed pretty quickly by the inexperienced flight instructors. Things were constantly breaking on the plane and as a student (not knowing any better), I was forced to fly with INOP instruments. Their billing practices are very complicated. However much you reserve for time with an instructor is the time you are billed for. Even if you were only with an instructor for 1.1 you were charged for 2 hours of instruction. We had a landing gear failure (faulty maintenance) in the pattern .2 into a flight and they wanted to charge me for 2 hours with the instructor. The flight instructors are right out of pilot mills with very wet CFI certificates. They only see you as a paycheck and milk the time in order to get to ATP mins. My first day of "ground school" was my CFI reading things off a website. I bought a King Schools subscription that night. I would constantly ask "what's next" and the CFI would change the subject. After 6 months and not even soloing yet, I did an eval flight at another flight school on the field and was soloed the next day. I really wish there was something good to say about this place, but there really isn't.

I started regular lessons in February and was a certified pilot just over five months later. And I finished on budget! I thought their rates were very reasonable and fair. My instructor was young, but very knowledgeable and very passionate about flying. And most importantly for me, he was able to accommodate my "irregular" schedule, and help me finish at a pace that worked for me. There were a number of safety check flights with the chief pilot along the way, so I always felt comfortable with each phase of my training. I think anyone who is motivated, hardworking can do very well here. Highly recommended!

Nothing but short answers and finger pointing. Plane was old and very out of date, not sure how it passed FAA standards. Pilot Jake was a nice guy. How this place has such a high rating is obscene. It was extra special for us as we booked this on our first wedding anniversary and it was extremely memorable first time flying! Our instructor was fabulous and really made the whole experience feel safe from start to finish. I flew to Connecticut from Long Island, and my husband flew the route back. It was basically a roundtrip flight where each of us got to fly one-way! The other person sat in the back while the first person was flying. Our instructor also indulged us and took some pictures when we started and finished in each location and we even got little certificates to commemorate our first flight together! The only negative point I will make was that Global Aviation Corp does fully disclosing costs for gas and fees that were not mentioned in the fine print. It was an extra $100 or more if I remember correctly which they only told us on the phone when calling to make the appointment. I wish they would have had it in the fine print so customers do not go through with buying a Groupon without all the information/pricing first. Overall it was a fantastic time, and I would 100% recommend it to anyone for a really unique experience, solo or as a couple!

I earned my instrument rating at Academy of Aviation almost 20 years ago, maybe more, and I'm…read morepretty sure that was around the time they first started. Even back then, it stood out as one of the best flight schools around, and what really impresses me is that they've remained steady and reliable all these years. A lot of flight schools come and go, but Academy of Aviation has stayed strong, which says a lot in this industry. If you're looking for a cheap flight school, this might not be the place--but that's a good thing. Too often, budget schools shut down without warning, leaving students stranded and out of options. Academy of Aviation has a well-maintained fleet, structured programs, and a solid reputation. Whether you're pursuing a career in aviation--military or civilian--or just flying for fun, this is the place to go. I'm not sure why it took me over two decades to write this, but I can say with confidence that this is one of the best schools I've trained at. I have great memories, especially from those early days when the owner was also my instructor. The training was thorough, professional, and effective, and I left with a strong foundation. About two years ago, I tried to rent a plane from them again after not flying for about 10 years. The process felt different, more geared toward structured student training rather than casual renters, which I've grown to accept. I flew with an instructor who was a bit wary about spins, and while I can't blame him--considering my long break from flying--I couldn't help but reflect on how the CFIs from my training days were probably more daring. Back then, they'd get excited, and I'd be the one nervous. These days, I understand the pressure instructors are under. One mistake can cost a career, and I respect that fully. While the experience of returning wasn't quite what I remembered, it doesn't take away from the fact that this school provides top-notch training. It's structured, professional, and results-driven. It may be costly, but you're paying for quality, safety, and real results. I would still give Academy of Aviation a 5-star rating and highly recommend it to anyone serious about flight training. Whether you are just starting out or looking to take your aviation journey to the next level, this school will set you up for success.
