Bebe Lash is not my regular studio, but I go there when my girl is unavailable or out of town. I have gone to Ashley before and she has done a good job. When I arrived for my appointment, Ashley was not there. Another lady named Helen said she was going to do my lashes and was covering for Ashley. At that point, I really didn't have any choice because I'm traveling and I didn't have another time to try to book the appointment so I went ahead and let Helen do my lashes. I did express that I wasn't fully comfortable, but I really just didn't have a choice at that point. She was very sweet and tried her best but burned one of my eyes very badly. We had to flush it out and put drops and then I was OK. She also at one point pulled one of my lashes out of my eye, and I physically winced and gasped. I was nervous the whole time, especially after that. I actually liked the way the lashes came out so I tried to just accept it and feel better, but they were falling off rapidly by the time I got home. Many fell off last night and this morning. I'm going on a trip so hopefully enough will stay that I don't have sparse spots or look crazy. If Ashley was not able to make my appointment, the least they could've done was let me know beforehand so I could've made a decision to either go there or not. Putting me in a position to go with a tech I didn't know who has zero reviews on their yelp was not fair and I won't be returning to Bebe lash.

So now I'm laying on the bed with my eyes taped closed. I'm 30 mins in and I start to have anxiety. OmG my poor tech Emma. She tried calming me down with candy and the fan. Then she sat me up and finished fixing them while I was upright and now breathing correctly. She took it in stride and helped me through it. I was so embarrassed and they were so kind. Even the young girl at the front desk was trying to comfort me. I wish I could give them more stars.

I've been to a couple of techs and when I read that they used a special glue, I was surprised because I had never heard of it. When we started, she got frustrated and told me that my eye kept twitching. I told her it was because I felt a burning sensation and also felt like the tape was poking my eye. She offered the sensitive glue which i agreed to but I feel like she got really upset based on her tone. She asked me if I had drunk coffee, which I had. In the past, it never became an issue so serious. She kept claiming, in a slightly rude tone, that I felt burning because my eye kept twitching, but she never tried to fully tape my eye shut. The entire time, I felt burning and discomfort in my left eye, and every time she moved my lashes around, it hurt. I have never had that happen before, so I was really scared that it might lead to an infection or something. This morning, I woke up with the bottom of my eye red and my eyes still feeling a bit irritated. Right now, I regret getting them done there, and I'm hoping it's not something serious like an infection.

I looked into eyelash extensions, but stumped upon lash lift, and found Tori in Yelp! The process is a little long, about an hour. She takes cash only. There's a convenience store a block away from her that has an ATM if you forget cash! Be sure to get directions for when you arrive. It's a bit tricky to find her place. She says the lash could stay curled for up to 12 weeks depending on what you do to them. Mine only looked good for a month max. The second month, most lashes straightened out, while a few stayed curled. By the end of the second month, all my lashes were straight again. I don't wear much makeup (only eyeliner) on a day-to-day basis. I wear mascara only on special occasions, which was 3 times during the those two months. I never wear fake eyelashes. I'm not sure why mine didn't last as long, but it was nice while it lasted. It's a little expensive for my lashes to look good for only a month. I see why people do it if they curl their eyelashes everyday. It definitely saves a lot of time. It was definitely nice to have, and I might do it again for another special occasion.
