They very clearly outlined the process, the pros, cons, worse outcomes, best outcomes, etc. After reading several pages outlining all the horrible things that could go wrong, I almost changed my mind... but knowing other people that have done it and the success they've seen, I was set on it. My first appointment was just to have my eyes examined, sign all the paperwork, and learn everything I needed to know in order to be fully prepared. My next visit was for the procedure. This day was rough for me personally. I wasn't nervous to have it done (heck, I can do anything for 30 seconds) but after waiting over three hours in the small waiting room I almost lost my mind. When appointments are required and you know how many people are scheduled to come in that day, you roughly know how long things are going to take. Instead of trying to pack in as many patients as you possibly could in one day, maybe focus on your patients overall experience. I wouldn't have cared had they called me and shared that they overbooked and needed to change my appointment. That would have taken my experience from barely a three star, maybe even to five. A few days after the procedure I went back in for a check up that was literally less than five minutes from check in to check out. Overall, I'm glad that I did it. The day of did suck, mainly because of the waiting for so long, but I can see and for that, I am super happy.

I went in for a free consult, they encouraged me to try out contact lenses for monovision. It…read moredidn't feel like pressure at all. I did the contact, then returned for lasix. They offered medication to relax you if you feel like you would have anxiety. The procedure was so quick, literally less than 5 minutes. There was no pain, I didn't even think it was uncomfortable as others have reported. Maybe a bit awkward as they place the suction on your eyes. But there is no pain. Others have said that lasix is scary, and I really didn't feel that way at all, I guess there is a moment when you get under the laser and you have no idea what to expect or if you will feel anything. But the bladeless laser cuts your cornea, and they switch you over the lasix is like 30 seconds. Then they put drops in and send you on your way. Your vision is instantly different. I didn't experience the light sensitivity people talk about. Also people have said they were miserable after the surgery. I will say about an hour after, I just kept my eye closed, because it was watering so much, since they gave me medicine it made me tired, so I did take a nap, during that time it did feel irritable scratchy and watery. Then woke up and like night and day felt like almost nothing had happened. They have you wear the guard at night and have to put some drops in but you are literally back up and running the following day. It is honestly amazing. The staff were kind and courteous. I think the price was extremely reasonable, and ended up being 100 less than they originally quoted me. So I could not be more pleased. Would recommend this 100%.

I found Dr.Kelley after a couple other consultations with refractive surgeons. A friend referred…read moreme. When it comes to surgery on my eyes, a referral is highly coveted. The other consultations provided options other than Lasik. I was told the outer layer of my eyes were not smooth and lasik would not be good option. They suggested a couple procedures that were newer and more expensive than Lasik. I was pretty disappointed about that. When I finally got to Arena Eye Surgeons (Dr. Kelley's office), his consulted told me that I actually was a candidate for Lasik. What the other doctors neglected to tell me was that wearing contact prevents oxygen from getting to your eye, and alters the shape. They advised two weeks, no contacts. Dr. Kelley advised four. After four weeks of glasses, my eyes apparently returned to their normal shape. The surgery itself was painless. You are awake, and your eyes are completely numbed. They say you can see instantly, but with all the goo in your eyes, you can only see things fuzzy. But over the next day after it starts clearing out, then you actually can see! It even gets better over the next week! Dr. Kelley always reminds me about the success of my surgery. Sometimes your vision is 20/20, sometimes a little less, but mine is now 20/15 (better than 20/20). Coming from a -8.5/-9.25 glasses prescription, this is amazing. The total cost was around $3,750.

Dr Kelley has a very extensive resume as well, and has been doing this procedure since 1996. Doc took plenty of time answering my questions and making me feel comfortable and explaining exactly what to expect. I asked why some of his competition offers a menu of different prices and he has one price? He was upfront and honest in saying that the procedure is the same, regardless of how good or bad your vision is. While it might not be the cheapest around at $2300/eye, I'd rather pay a bit more for a great doctor who is going to work on my eyes. He called me the evening of my procedure, just to make sure I was doing ok, and left his home phone #, just in case I had any questions or concerns. It's hard to find docs these days that will do that. My vision is great and I'm very happy with my experience with Doc Kelley.

I had gone to them over a year ago, had a bad experience, and decided to put it behind me. Now,…read moreafter a year I find out what these morons actually did. On my first of three visits for one appointment I had the eye exam, picked out my glasses, and left thinking everything was good and I'd pick up my glasses in two weeks. I got the call, came to get them, put them on and immediately knew something was wrong. The left eye was blurry, and was clearly not correct. I told them this isn't right, and grudgingly they conceded and let me make another appointment to come back for another exam, free of charge. I came back after a week, did the exam, and the doctor admitted the prescription seemed off on the left eye. They sent off the glasses, and two weeks go by, I went back and pick them up. Same issue! The left eye is still all blurry. I start to get upset, but stayed calm enough to say this isn't right. They said, "If you come back for another visit then it'll be $75." I said that was fine but I wanted a different doctor this time. They agreed, and after a week I went back. When I showed up for the third appointment there were no other customers, just me. I had a business meeting that day but I thought I'll get to the eye doctor, early, check in, and be back home to get into Zoom in time. I sign in 15 minutes early, but I had to wait a few minutes, then one of the receptionists takes me back, gets my info and walks out. I look at my watch and say to myself, "Okay, my meeting is at noon, and it's 11:00 right now, so plenty of time." I live about 10 minutes from here, so I wait. And I wait. And I wait. I look down at my watch watching the minutes droll on and no eye doctor. After 27 minutes, 27 MINUTES, I finally say, "Screw this", get up and walk to the front where there are still no other patients. I say, "Give me my money back." Then the doctor comes out of his office and acts like he's going in to see me in the other room. He says, "Where are you going?" I say, "I'm leaving, you have the audacity to keep me waiting for 30 minutes. I have a meeting to go to." Then this turd says sheepishly, "I had a family emergency." Now break this down and think about it. He thinks he can just say, "family emergency" and that trumps everything. So IF it's a family emergency then why are you still here? IF it's an emergency then why didn't you get one of your receptionists to tell me I'd have to reschedule? IF it's an emergency why did you ask me where I was going? I said, "I'm done with you and this place, give me my money back." Keep in mind, the money issue is because I use my insurance and I can only go once a year. The receptionists tell me that I'll have to talk to the Office Manager. I end up talking to the Manager and she says, "Sorry, can't refund for services rendered." Okay... that's how life goes. I accept the fact that these morons exist, they have no idea what they're doing, but I'll just move on with my life and not deal with them. No point in letting them get the best of me beyond me knowing I'll never go back. THEN I FOUND OUT WHAT CAUSED THE WHOLE THING! Fast forward to today, I had to wait a year to go to the eye doctor since I had no insurance to use because of these Vision Asshats. I drive over 40 minutes to my old doctor. Take my frames from the previous year with me because I did like them and I figure I'll have to spend the money to get lenses anyway. The idea was I'd use my new insurance for the computer glasses I need, and use the frames from the previous year that caused me all the trouble, and use them for my long distance driving. After I get the exam they look at the old glasses. They say, "Yeah, these are way off in the left eye." I say, "Yeah, I thought so." So now I'm feeling good about myself that I'm not wrong, that there was an issue. So I pick out my new frames, order the old frames some new lenses for the purposes of seeing at distance and I'm about to leave. Then the lady helping with the glasses looks at me and says, "Do you want the blue block on these again?" I say, "Excuse me? You mean on the new frames, the one I ordered for when I'm on the computer?" She looks back at her hand to make sure she's holding the right ones and says, "No, the old ones. They have blue block on them." Then it hits me! I know what these geniuses at Vision Professionals did, they put in the right lens as far-sighted, and the left lens as computer distance! ARE YOU KIDDING ME? Who does that? Do they expect me to close one eye when driving, or when I'm on the computer?! If this was intentional then they're malicious pieces of crap, but if an accident then they're just incompetent. Go here at your risk people, you have been warned.

Went there because they sold a specific brand of frames I wanted. Told the Dr. from the beginning…read morethat I required Zeiss lenses. After putting 50% down and them sending the frames to their lab, they call me and tell me their lab doesn't work with Zeiss lenses (which they knew all along and didn't mention that). I tell them I want a refund then. They then tell me the Dr. wants me to buy the lenses I did not want and that they'd deal with it if I wasn't happy once I got the glasses. I refused, asked for refund, and asked for a copy of my insurance-paid exam results and new prescription to be faxed to me so that I could buy the frames and lenses somewhere else. As of this writing, I have not received my prescription and they state they are cutting me a check and mailing my refund to me. Totally unacceptable. Maybe they should work with a lab that allows them to give them what their customer wants as opposed to telling the customer what they think the customer should do. Buyer be ware going to this establishment.
