My family was visiting Copenhagen for a few days, and we were craving some brunch. We found The Laundromat Cafe on the way to Juno Bakery, which was less than a block away. After grabbing some pastries to go at Juno, we stopped my the cafe for some food. It was starting to rain, so this stop came at a perfect time! The cafe has plenty of seating outside, with a long bench and small tables and chairs. The cafe puts out blankets to make sitting there more enjoyable. We ended up sitting inside just because of the rain, even though the outdoor portion does have a bit of a cover from the awning. Inside, there are more tables than you would think! We chose one by an open window to have a bit of a breeze. The menu is stocked with everything you would need. Service was quick, too. We also thought it was neat that the cafe functions as an actual laundromat, as well. There are 3 sets of washer/dryers in the back near the 2 restrooms. Also, there is free WiFi, making this a cute WFH spot. As for the food, it was pretty good! No complaints from me there. The pancakes were unique with the bacon, banana, and peanut butter. read more

My family and I walked by this place on the way to Juno and decided to stop by for brunch on our way back. We were surprised to learn that this is both a laundromat and a cafe; they have some laundry machines in the back of the cafe by the restrooms! The decor inside is cute with lots of posters and books and quirky items around. The outdoor seating has blankets to make you more comfortable, as well. We ordered some coffees, orange juice, yogurt, avocado toast, spinach omelette, and Elvis pancakes. Everything was excellent and very tasty. The peanut butter on the pancakes was a great addition, the yogurt was full of fruit and granola, the omelette had a good amount of pesto, and the avocado toast was piled high with ingredients. The orange juice was fresh and tasted great. I'm so happy we walked by this place! Definitely recommend it if you're in the area looking for a meal. read more

We came here to do laundry. It's really a Cafe with 3 washers and dryers. They provide soap. I think it's 100 DKK for wash and dry. We got a burger and fish and chips. Good food albeit a little pricey. WIFI available. Clean restrooms. We found staff to be very nice and accommodating. It was a nice atmosphere for doing laundry. And most people are here for food and drink not laundry. Good sign. read more

We did our laundry here twice while visiting Copenhagen. It was nice to sit in the café and eat breakfast or lunch, sip some coffee or tea, and relax while keeping an eye on our laundry. There are 3 washers and 3 dryers with no reservations or waiting lists. Some tips: 1. The number displayed in the bottom right corner of each machine's display is the number of minutes remaining, so you can easily see how much longer until a machine is available. 2. Turn the dial until a machine's screen displays "Væl sprog" which means "select language" and then press the dial to see a list of languages. Select your language and it stays that way for the remainder of your cycle. 3. The machines aren't coin-operated. Just scoop some detergent from the big boxes on the the folding counter and keep track of how many loads you do -- tell them how many loads you did when you pay for your meal/drink. We paid 50 DKK for one load of laundry (including both wash & dry) which was about 7.20 USD or 6.70 EUR. On our first visit we waited only 8 minutes for a machine to become available. On our second visit there was a machine already available when we walked in. Café service was friendly, the food and drinks were yummy, and the atmosphere was very relaxed. Cozy, down-to-earth café on Østerbro! The concept of combining laundromats with a café is fun and well executed. It's very laid back and as a plus: they have backgammon. With that said, everything is overcharged. If I were to recommend anything, it would be the pulled duck burger :) read more

Excellent cafe. Comfortable seating and nicely decorated. It has a play-table for kids, outdoor seating and is in a nice neighborhood. There was a couple of nice vegetarian options and the meal was big. I had the vege burger and while I think they could have been more courageous with the flavor it was perfectly ok. Ate there before... it was decent that time. But today i ordered 2 brunches and coffee, got the coffee after 15 minutes, waited 50 minutes for the brunch after that we asked the waiters where our food were, to which they replied that we did not order any, which we did. The waiters then ganged up against us insisting that we didn't order any. Both me and my boyfriend have worked in the restaurant business for about 5 years, so we know how restaurants work, and we know how to order food. It is brunch not rocket science. I have mixed feelings about this Laundromat Cafe. I remember visiting the one in Noerrebro long time ago but I'll concentrate on this one. Arrived on a snowy December evening to meet a long time friend and his family and chose this place because it seemed child-friendly. When I arrived I asked where should I sit and was told to seat wherever I wanted, so I sat next to the small play area in the nice room on the left. After 2 minutes the waitress came to tell me to move to the main room becuase "they were closing that section"... why didn't she say so two minutes earlier when I asked? Anyhow, my friends came and since it was snowing a lot they asked if they could bring in the stroller becuase the baby was asleep and they didn't want to leave her outside (like you normally do in DK when it's not raining or snowing) but they said no strollers... even if the place was empty. So they had to wake up the surprisingly well behaved baby (I get crankier than her when someone wakes me up) to come in. We finally got to order - only drinks - and got them real quick. Fresh beer, coffee and an Irish coffee. Then our waitress asked if we wanted some free cake because they were going to throw it out so we got some free slices of carrot cake which was OK (nice of them to ask us). We didnt' stay long enough to finish the cake because after that they came to tell us they were closing shortly and that we had to leave... What I liked of the place is obviously the idea that you can go do your laundry and have coffee or eat something while you wait. The decor is that cool retro I love in Copenhagen bars and also the small play area (when they don't close the section). What I didn't like was the rush to kick us out. I will be giving it another chance, probably for brunch. read more

A bit more upmarket than I expected when I heard someone had stuck a cafe inside a laundrette (cracking idea...incidentally) I had a decent chilli here..certainly not as hot as they reckon it is. Managed to drain an Icelandic beer that I had never encountered before (in fact thinking about it I don't think I'd ever had an Icelandic beer before). I'd be wary of coming here too often though as it is crazily child friendly, to the point of having a play area! Was lucky, as it was busy, to get a table well away from that special hell. I really loved this place! If you have to go out to do laundry, then at least you should be able to eat while you are doing it! They have a pretty good menu with a lot of food options as well as alcohol! Laundry can be about $10 US dollars a load and the dryers work by small increments, so it can be a little tricky. read more

It's almost a five star place because the play area for kids, staff friendliness, and hippie style decor make it quite a unique place. If you have a toddler who cannot sit still for five minutes, you can sit near the play area and entertainment is guaranteed. Food is good (pulled duck burger is a great choice!), brunch is more limited in selection. This is my absolute favourite cafe in all of Copenhagen! The burgers are great. In the summer you can sit outside and eat lunch in the sun. They make the best cappuccino and they always have different kinds of cake. The service is best on week days. The weekends tend to be somewhat crowded but mostly during summer.
