However, ALL the other washers and dryers were being using by the employees! I understand they have business they must conduct (they will wash your clothes for you, if you wish), however they should leave at least 1 washer and dryer open for walk-in customers. If we left our clothes to be washed, they wouldn't get our clean clothes back to us until mid-morning on Monday. That didn't work since we were departing early morning Monday.

You're given An option to have your clothes serviced by staff or yourself. There is a minimal price difference but a larger time difference. If you're not in a rush the staff will wash, dry and fold your laundry by days end. If your time is tight you can load a washer and time the cycle until it's done. Put your clothes in a dryer then wait for them to dry. Easy. Staff is delightful and very helpful. I rather do my own so I came back after a 35-45 minute wash and then came back after the 45-55 minute dry cycle. I just shopped and had lunch in between cycles. It was very convenient and well managed. Other travelers were taking advantage of their services too. Highly recommend this gem.

I weighed my bags of clothes at home to estimate how much it would cost me. I had two bags. My first bag came in at just over five kilos and my second bag weighed approx 9 kilos. The attendant placed my first bag on her scales (whose face was turned away from the customer) and said that it was 12 kilos. I told her that I had weighed it at home and that it was significantly lighter than this at just over 5 kilo. I asked if she could place the bag on the scales again so I could see weight for myself. She allowed this. When I looked at the scales being used it was in lbs, and my laundry was weighing at approx 12 lbs - an equivalent to what it weighed at home when I measured just over 5kgs. I pointed out to her that she had quoted me a per kilo price but was weighing my laundry in lbs which was effectively doubling the unit cost. She said that she was new and that she had been told to use this measure and multiply by the per kilo cost. I decided not to continue with the transaction at this point. I had asked could I speak with a manager but was advised they weren't there. The employee said she would raise the matter with him. Here's the thing. I don't mind what you charge for your service as long as everything is transparent and above board. This wasn't in the slightest. It's forgivable if it's human error from a new employee. Even so, all customers who brought laundry to your store would have been charged over double and should be reimbursed. If it wasn't error then you are deliberately overcharging your customers. I'd appreciate clarification on this matter. Also, there was a per kilo rate quoted over the phone and this could not be found displayed clearly in writing in your business. What a shame as my closest launderette, but I won't be returning again!
