There are multiple rooms of displays and information not only on the history of the life saving station, but the history of Ocean City. The aerial shots were interesting and the sand display, very informative. They also have a small aquarium room with some local sea-life horseshoe crab and the seahorses were my favorite. For 10 we were given a membership and a free mug and magnet, deal!

Also nice is the fact that you can get close (sometimes even inside) to the displays, as compared to some of the larger museums. A lot of local history and the NAS's contribution during WWII. There is also a cool little gift shop at the end (isn't there always) where you can pick up memorabilia. I would plan on spending an hour or so minimum - more if your really want to dig in to the displays & videos available. Great for the family & history/aviation buffs. PS - if you're there earlier in the day - check out the Flight Deck Diner for some good comfort food and displays of patches/aircraft models..

Set in a World War II era hangar, the museum has over 25 historic plans, jets, helicopters, exhibits, artifacts, and more! It also memorializes the 42 naval aviators who died while training at this facility. The museum is pet friendly and dogs must be on a leash. A really cool thing to do is to go inside some of the planes and sit in the cockpit! We met a staff member, Bethany, who was fun to talk to about the museum and its features. This is a great spot to visit any day, and especially when the weather is not cooperating, since it is all indoors. Parking is free and be sure to get a puppy potty break in before entering the museum. Thank you to all Veterans! Typically, their hours are: In Season: March 5 through November 30, 10AM-4PM Daily Off Season: December 1 through March 4 10AM-4PM Mon-Friday (Closed Saturday & Sunday) NOTE: NAS WILDWOOD AVIATION MUSEUM WILL BE UNDERGOING REPAIRS AND WILL BE CLOSED TEMPORARILY FROM 10/9/23 THROUGH 1/1/24
