An incredibly underwhelming experience with Glorily Lopez…read more Her hourly rate is $230, for which you expect the level of professionalism and knowledge to commensurate with such a high fee. Incognizant of the sensitivity in the area of immigration law, I was bilked close to $7,000 to file* two forms, I-821D and I-601. *The term file is used loosely because none of the two forms were actually filed or completed. In my opinion, the fees charged were unreasonable, excessive, duplicative, and inefficient. Glorily did not accomplish my goals as a client, there were no results, and I received zero benefit from the services for which Glorily was compensated for. Instead of continuing to pour my funds into an endless pit, I decided to end her representation and obtained another attorney for a fraction of the fee and was able to prevail in my case. For all those unaware, there is a program within the State Bar of Wisconsin where you can confidentially elect to file a Fee Arbitration form to contest the fees. Here's the website: https://www.wisbar.org/forpublic/ihaveadisputewithmylawyer/pages/fee-arbitration-program.aspx The cost is as low as $25, depending on the fee in dispute. I would highly suggest partaking in this program, made available to anyone who has a fee dispute with their attorney.
