Someone answered the phone and took down my name and address. Then they immediately transferred me to Angi's list. I was confused why they would transfer me to Angi's list if they wanted me to book their business. Angi rep had no info on my project request and I had to share my info again. Now I realized that the first person was a scammer that was data-mining. A few weeks later, and I'm filing for identity theft. I received a credit ding because someone else is applying for new cards under my name. I should've verified the company more before contacting them, but that's the danger of the internet I suppose!
