I like the new gym!…read more So I came here because my gym in Clark closed unfortunately and I decided to see what the new gym in Springfield was looking like. The setup is pretty much the same type of set up as every other gym- the only difference is that the main floor is upstairs while the studio floor and swimming pool is located on the lower floor when you walk in along with the locker rooms. When I got upstairs, there was all types of equipment some new- others the same. The gym itself wasn't a lot of people since I came somewhat late. However, the basketball court was pretty live. The cardio machines are facing the windows so it's a pretty nice touch to look out the windows during the day while you are getting your workout on. There is plenty of parking outside- which is great because this gym seem like it could get pretty packed. The only "issue" is that this gym is located on Route 22 which could be a gift and a curse depending on the time of day you go and traffic. Overall, beautiful gym, friendly staff- I would come back!

Every piece of equipment that we tried to use was visibly rotted and rusted broken handles on tricep push down pads, broken on seat seats, and the equipment was not spaced apart enough so that a person could extend their arms to give themselves adequate space to work out. It seems as though this Planet Fitness hasn't had their equipment exchanged in quite so many years, very outdated and very broken and it's a shame because it's really a nice gym. They wash their aerial silks regularly. They offer classes that range from conditioning to yoga. I haven't done many conditioning classes as I'm slowwwwwwwwwly trying to get myself in shape. But I love their yoga studio downstairs.... & aerial yoga is SO much fun. The trainers and owners are all awesome... I've taken classes with Meg, Kristen, Marta, Conor Michael & Andrea. I think you have to try all of their classes just so you could find the trainer whose class best fits you. The owners greet me every time I walk in the door. A few of my girlfriends tried the BSK location, then some of my daughter's friends moms wanted to try as well. We came 15mins before class (as advised) so we can get a tour of place and how things run before taking class. They have bathrooms (with a shower) coat racks and lockers to place your belongings while in class. The staff and coaches were very friendly! We've had the pleasure of taking almost all the coaches and every class is different, every coach style is unique but they give you the individualized attention and motivation you need during class. The first class was an intense workout but I ended up taking advantage of their first month $99 promotion and plan on continuing. I love the way I feel especially after each class knowing that I was able to accomplish it, from the "assault" bike to the ski mill, ski erg to the erg rowing machine. I live for the community - the camaraderie feel. It gives me the Orange Theory meets CrossFit vibe. 100% give it a try, you will feel as if they rocked your world after the class but I can guarantee you- you will be back.
