I like the new gym! So I came here because my gym in Clark closed unfortunately and I decided to see what the new gym in Springfield was looking like. The setup is pretty much the same type of set up as every other gym- the only difference is that the main floor is upstairs while the studio floor and swimming pool is located on the lower floor when you walk in along with the locker rooms. When I got upstairs, there was all types of equipment some new- others the same. The gym itself wasn't a lot of people since I came somewhat late. However, the basketball court was pretty live. The cardio machines are facing the windows so it's a pretty nice touch to look out the windows during the day while you are getting your workout on. There is plenty of parking outside- which is great because this gym seem like it could get pretty packed. The only "issue" is that this gym is located on Route 22 which could be a gift and a curse depending on the time of day you go and traffic. I left 24 hour fitness after many years. My concerns about dirtiness and unsanitary conditions were never addressed. I joined Planet Fitness less than a mile away and am pleased with the staff, the new equipment and MOST of all the cleanliness. read more

It's bad enough the gym is called 24 hour fitness when it's not opened 24 hours but to add more insult, they can't even live up to the 5am opening time. It's 5am, lights are out, no one here, me and 20 other members standing outside wondering what time it will open. read more

This review will be based on 2 parts. Ultimately I decided not on getting a membership because I felt scammed. I signed up for the "free" 3 day pass online. When I arrived the person at the front desk told me it would actually be $25. I didn't appreciate that. So that is the reason for my one star review and my reason for not getting a membership. If they scam you the second you walk through the door that's a huge red flag for me. Now the gym itself was decent. It's your average commercial gym that has a good variety of machines. The spa area and locker rooms were kept clean. Gym itself is kind of on the smaller side but again has almost everything you need. The only negatives I ran into is that they don't have multiple sets of dumbbells or 5lb plates so if you're going during peak hours that can be an issue. Another thing is they didn't have many clips for bench press or the squat racks. There was maybe 2 pairs of them thought the whole gym. Other than that this gym is a decent commercial gym. read more

They need to keep the place cleaner. The men's locker room floor is not clean most of the times and the water fountain are not clean either. The treadmills are dusty. Other than that it's a nice facility, friendly staff ( who know ) and people working out are courteous and friendly. read more

I was looking for a gym where it was not constantly bombarded with gym goers 24/7. This gym is very spacious and you are very likely not to have to wait at all for whichever exercise you have to do. When it does get busy you shouldn't expect to wait more than 5 minutes which is awesome. Equipment is top notch just as it's staff are and instructors for their classes are top tier. Highly recommended for any level of fitness you find yourself in. It also includes a pool, steam room, sauna and hot tub! Can't get better than that at the price range for their memberships that they offer. I can promise you that. 10/10 read more

The gym is over crowded at times, there are not many classes, and the cleanliness is not good at all. They do not have full time staff to clean the gym and the size of the gym needs much more cleaning than it gets! Dirty and the customers are rude. Staff is very friendly, and the manager is very nice. He is over worked I believe. read more

A gym called "24 Hour Fitness" is not even open close to 24 hours a day. They close at 8 on the weekends.

Terrible gym. The employee name Christian is a terrible employee and is so not professional at all. He is Extremely rude to people who are just trying to workout when he's recording, which makes everybody so uncomfortable with all his friends and he tries to use his powers of employment to justify it all. Do not come to this gym, spend your money better at lifetime they have such a better facility and the employees are so respectful and nice. read more

Had a pass and when I got here they ask for my driver's license... when I asked why they said so the manager can give you a tour, which was about #775 on the list of things I wanted to do that day, as I thought I'd have to wait for him (and I did had to wait 20 min in his office, so ridic). If I was to take a tour made sure to grill him and asked why there are only one set of dumbbells, as it was only the early afternoon and I had to wait awhile to use them. Place is one big room but looks drab and kind of old. Believe it or not, when I left without committing to a contact and said I would seriously consider (which I wasn't as was sick of the heavy sales pitch and then holding my license, but was sick of him ignoring that I had to go to work) the manager actually said that if I do join and choose the plan that allows access to all clubs, to choose us as "we get the commission". (This is when the Clark location was open). No joke. Oh and 2 other things... they're called 24 hour fitness and close at 930pm (11 pre-pandemic). Not even 10PM which is still too early! And the kicker (and the main reason I'm writing this review now, after I noticed I was still getting emails from them) is they don't honor opt out or privacy requests unless you live in CA. So rest assured if you just try this club out for a couple days, you'll get a lifetime of your private information being endlessly mined and bartered... woohoo! read more

Overall the gym is good. Not too crowded. Helpful staff. But the one thing it does lack in... the lockers. Every where else in the gym there is music playing. Why is there no music playing in the locker room?? What makes it worse is that there is an echo?! I really don't need to hear all the weird noises coming from the bathroom while I'm changing in the locker room area!! I am a new resident in Springfield, NJ checking out some gyms and signed up for a free 3 day pass online. I have never been to a 24/hr fitness before and wanted try it out to see what it offered equipment wise and vibes. I showed my email and the person behind the counter had his feet up on the counter laying back with his hands behind his head (so NOT professional). He immediately denied me saying this location doesn't offer 3 day passes any longer. As a soon to be new customer in a gym this is not how to sell, very unwelcoming as business; rather embarrassing. I explain how marketing works and how a business cannot offer something online and deny it in person when I have an email and text to prove 3 day trial. I mentioned the business should probably take it down due to false advertisement. I have worked in marketing for businesses for multiple years and this can hurt a business legally. I have business partners moving out here as well and will make sure word of mouth is passed on about how this gym has unprofessional and unwelcoming staff that do not offer what they advertise. read more

Love this gym but there's only one downside it's not open 24 hours sadly they're understaffed so they close at 9:30 but they at least open early at 5am. They have everything you could ask for in a great gym. read more

Pros- Everything is brand new Room for improvement Staff that I've interacted with is great Cons- There is only 1 oversized studio, so if there is a class, you can't access it. And there is long list of classes. You can easily make 2 studios out of the space. Turf space very small with a narrow strip for sled work Would've love to see boxing bags somewhere. Squat racks are kind of in the middle of the space . Would've been great along the walls with mirror access. read more

Staff is doing a great job of patrolling masks and the deep team cleans. Brand new, clean gym. Very spacious and great atmosphere. Some people are die-hard 24 people. Shame other locations shut down for bankruptcy, but Springfield is working their butt off to accommodate everyone safely and pick up the slack. read more

Really not a great gym. Was at Clark and was mad that I was moved here but went in with an open mind and hoping for the best. My first workout was the day they opened and it was great so my hopes were high. Came today for a second workout and it was horrible. First of all the more I used it the more I realized the layout makes no sense. The squat racks are on the complete opposite side as all the other free weights and had no 5lb or 2.5lb plates near them so I had to walk across the whole gym to get them. While I was doing that I couldn't find one rack designated for plates as they were all on the different machines which makes no sense. Not only that but people didn't put their weights back in any organized order and they have no employees going around to fix it. Not to mention they didn't build enough parking so when I came at 8:30pm to workout I had to park in "overflow parking" which is just a parking lot in a sketchy back area of another building which makes absolutely no sense. I was really hoping this gym would be a great replacement for the one in Clark but it's abysmal at best. Don't waste your time, find another gym. read more
