We've been in 5 different (age range) classrooms and have had an amazing experience in each one. (Young infants, older infants, young tots, older tots, and Early preschool) My son loves his teachers and his friends. They've always done hands on lesson plans, even in the young infant room. He's learned so much from being here and I have to praise the staff for that! I'm also grateful that they're willing to do the "messy" activities with the kids, ie paint, water, markers, etc that I would personally have a conniption with, at home, at his age. I've noticed, the older he's gotten, the more difficult it is to get him to "want" to go home in the evenings at pick up, solely because he enjoys his school so much. And that's a huge testament to the environment at Primrose. And while tuition can be a tough pill to swallow, I do believe the cost does go towards ensuring a high quality staff, safety standards, and learning environment. I would (and do) recommend Primrose LW to anyone in the area!

They exceeded all expectations, and I am realizing what childcare SHOULD be like compared to the old daycare. Dogwood excels in the following areas that I find important: Communication: The staff is prompt to communicate on all platforms, through the app, email, and phone. Food: they send out the weekly meal plan, and it's always healthy and nutritious food that my son loves. He's a 99th percentile guy, and so he eats a lot and is never hungry when I pick him up (unlike our old daycare). He probably eats better than me most days here! Staff: I can't say enough great things about the management and teachers here. From the moment we walk in, there's a smiling face at the front desk available to help with anything we need. The teachers clearly love what they do, my son loves them so much. After a year of challenging drop off and pickups with tears at the old place, it's refreshing that there hasn't been a bad handoff since the 2nd week. He even tried to go back in after picking him up he likes it so much. Facility: it's a beautiful facility and CLEAN!! Ample parking, and well thought out. Photos: I have received photos every day, to me this is important as the old daycare I was lucky to get 1 photo a month. They even put little text with it sometimes. This makes going to work and leaving my son at school a lot easier. To summarize this very long review, Dogwood is excellent and my only regret is not coming here sooner. We do drive 10 minutes further because we feel the level of care our son receives is worth it.

As he has progressed through the different age groups, each and every class room has been wonderful. Teachers are always willing to communicate, we have transparency into his daily activities, we get multiple photos daily of his activities, and he is learning so much. The food they serve is healthy and my son loves it. He gets breakfast and lunch each day. All home made right at the school. Their education programming is thoughtful and fun, with themed ideas each week/month that are great. They value sensory learning at a young age and keep children engaged as they get older with one on one learning each day. They also have as few plastic toys as possible, focusing on natural materials. Overall we feel like my son is in great hands each day!!!

I felt such relief and knew that my baby was in the best hands! The infant room staff (Ms. Aury, Ms. Diamond and Ms. Brandi) are so welcoming and attentive, and truly care about each child's well-being. Every morning, my little baby would smile as soon as she was greeted by Ms. Aury. You could just feel the warmth and love radiating out of the infant room! The facility is new and very clean and we really enjoyed the daily updates and photos we received through the app. This place is very special and we are lucky to have found it. BEWARE Parents If…read moreyou're looking for a warm, loving, and professional childcare environment--this is not the place. My daughter attended this daycare, and the experience was deeply disappointing and concerning. The staff is not only unprofessional but also lacks the basic warmth and compassion that every child deserves. Ms. Sonya, the assistant director, is especially rude, mean-spirited, and disrespectful to both children and parents. I once overheard her speaking to a crying infant at the end of the day saying, "I don't care if you're crying, ya mama is late, so I don't know what to tell ya." No attempt to comfort the baby--just coldness. That level of indifference toward a child is unacceptable. Ms. Lisa, the director, is no better. She is rarely around and completely disengaged from the day-to-day. When she is present, her professionalism is seriously lacking. There is no leadership, no accountability, and no positive tone set for the staff. Many of the caregivers appear lazy and inattentive, clearly counting on the fact that most parents aren't actively watching the cameras. It's telling that so many children walk in crying--and continue to cry even after weeks or months of attendance. This is not a safe or nurturing place for any child. Please do your research and read all reviews carefully before enrolling your child. I truly regret trusting them with mine. Courtney the owner of this business is a fraud and does not care about families and children well being! It's just a money maker for them! All they do is reply to comments - and notice it's a generic comment for everyone. They're too cheap to actually hire qualified staff!

DO NOT BRING YOUR CHILD TO THIS DAYCARE CENTER!!!! Every since Lollipop transitioned to Kindercare…read moreand Gussie has become the director of this center, it has gone straight down the drain! They don't watch your child, they don't have enough teachers and will have you turn around after just dropping your child off to come get them! Why was there ever a situation that I'm getting a call at work b/c my 2 yr old daughter stuck a rock in her nose??? Where were you?! How do you not know that the kids are throwing sand and my child's hair and face is covered in sand when I come to pick her up for the evening?? Gussie is so UNPROFESSIONAL!!! She chased me down the hall in front of everybody telling me about my account balance that wasn't even my fault! I had to get the regional director involved b/c they weren't paying attention to the account payments, and the app has been messed up since the transition from Lollipop! So this lady (Gussie) had the nerve to try to disenroll my kids over an account issue that was her fault! No apologies after the corrections were made, NOTHING!! Then there was a parent that kept bringing their child to the daycare after being diagnosed with Hand Foot & Mouth Disease and of course my poor baby caught it and was in so much pain! Not only did she catch it, but my other daughter and I caught it as well! Gussie didn't care and kept allowing the parent to bring the child after several teachers and other parents complained!!! The best teachers quit left and right after Gussie took over! Which is why they would call parents back after dropping their child off to come pick them up...there were barely any teachers there for at least a couple of months! Gussie doesn't know how to talk to people at all. She's very manipulative and condescending! She may seem nice but pls don't be fooled but that mask! I'm not quite sure what Gussie's problem is with me but it has gotten so bad that I don't even want my 4 yr old daughter to finish out the Pre K school year there so I took her out. Now she is refusing to waive the 2 week notice to release my vouchers so that my daughter can go to a new daycare. She released my 2 yr old daughter immediately but is holding my 4 yr old. And this is after Gussie, WITHOUT COMMUNICATION, disenrolled both of my kids from the before/after school care after I communicated my circumstances! All she had to do was reach out and call me! DO NOT BRING YOUR KIDS HERE!!!

Stayed because there were no other daycares around with vacancies in the area. Pros: - The classrooms here are bigger than other daycares in the area - Flexible drop off and pick up times - Offers breakfast, lunch, and snacks for the kids included in tuition - Some of the staff like the assistant director and teachers are great Cons: - Staff shortages especially in the infant room. There are times when the ratio goes beyond the state mandated 1 to 5 - Tuition increases, multiple times in a year - Teachers are supposed to send 2 pictures per day per student. On average we would get 2-3 pictures per week. - Incident reports (reports to parents when child gets hurt) were no longer sent home to us. Our child came home with a quarter sized raw scape on her knee without any report. - Outdated security measures and check in - Director is not properly trained and does not do her job well. She did not treat parents fairly and would not respond to emails sent multiple times For the price you pay $1400 a month, you will find newer facilities that just opened in the area with updated security measures, cameras, much better student to teacher ratios, and quality management.

I confronted the director miss Nicole about all the conflicting information, and she finally told me that my son has been banned from Gateway Academy because their records show he attended another location and I broke the "Parent Code of Conduct" because I said some things that were not nice. Basically my son attended the Gateway on Mallard when he was 1 and I gave that location 1 star and left a detailed review. I was shocked! During the 7 months my son was enrolled in the Mallard location he had 7 different teachers! That location was awful. The only reason he was there that long was because I had to wait for a spot to open at kids r kids. But I was still willing to give this chain a chance based on all the 5 star reviews the Whitehall location recieved on google. However, since this chain penalizes parents and children for leaving honest reviews on bad experiences, I have to question whether all the positive feedback on this location are authentic. I am thankful they exposed their true colors before my son could be enrolled. Thank goodness for freedom of speech!
