Amazing! My daughter has only excelled at this school. They don't just care for your child, they teach them.

We submitted our paperwork to enroll our children a couple months before they were to begin…read moreattending. On our first day, I entered the building but there were no staff members at the front desk (a very regular thing). Our children were not yet enrolled in their system nor had our deposit check been accepted, which we were not notified of. This should have been the time where we realized things were not going to go well. First day of drop off, I leave my one year old in the classroom. As I was exiting the building I can see and hear my child screaming with no member of the staff attempting to console him. At the time I thought nothing of it. This would continue to be a trend during our short time at Sunshine House. On more than one occasion my wife was stuck trying to console our son while members of the staff ignored her and my son. We asked the staff to allow him more time for naps as he is teething and has been sleeping more. Never was this message passed along. Sunshine house showed zero regard for the well being of my children and the staff was not at all willing to help my children feel comfortable at the school. I asked one teacher how my son had done during the day to which her response was "I saw him today". Not a single time in the two weeks that we sent our boys did I ever see or meet the director. Not even after I informed the co-director how displeased I was with the school. It took over a week and several complaints before they would help up set up the app to see our children's day. But even after they set us up, the app was never updated so we were no better off. Do not send your children here. You will worry about hem constantly. You will feel uncomfortable with the staff. You will question your children's safety. You will absolutely regret ever putting your children through this experience. This was by far the worst experience I have had as a parent.

We've had our daughter in this facility since she was 6 weeks old (Nov 2013). We love the teachers…read moreand the overall feel of the center. In the beginning we did have issues with some of the administrative activities, like being asked for copies of shot records multiple times, but they were minor annoyances. Over the years we've had to have conversations about the care of our daughter with the director. She has always been very friendly and willing to listen and available when we had concerns. We are a secular family and it's very important to us to be able to send our child to a school that doesn't infringe upon our rights. Brittany is always willing to listen to our concerns and address any issues that we've had. I have always felt comfortable taking our concerns to Brittany. As I've mentioned, the staff is amazing, especially the 2's teachers (stand's out because we've just transitioned from this room, they are great, not that any of the other teachers aren't). Our daughter loves her teachers, she hugs them all, they comfort her when she's sad when she doesn't get to come with mommy and daddy, or if she's tired. I know she's well treated and getting good experience around other children. Each staff member has their own challenges but I feel comfortable taking any feedback or concerns to the director. Overall my daughter receives great care and from birth to year 2 she was provided with formula and diapers as part of the program. She eats a well prepared varied diet and learns many things we haven't been able to teach her at home. Overall we are very happy with the center, will utilize it if we have any other children, and recommend it to all of my friends. *Note - they now have cameras in the rooms but they are not accessible by parents. *I second the wish for more digital communication with the daily sheets but I'll settle for just getting a regular sheet that is accurate and filled out.

My interactions at drop-off and pick-up have been positive and my child seems to be very happy and comfortable there. I really love the app that they use to keep us posted during the day. I get to see what my child eats and how much, when their diaper is changed, when they fall asleep for nap, photos AND videos. One of the biggest perks is they feed the children a morning snack, lunch, and afternoon snack - no more packing lunch! I also love that they provide diapers and wipes. We are very happy here and it's great to know your child is cared for and having fun!

We just had to pull our children from this center. Everything was great until we reached the 4…read moreyear old class. My son notified us that his teacher (Mrs. Angie) threatened to put him in a hot oven if he didn't start listening. She went as far as taking him to the kitchen and making him open the oven door so that he could feel the heat. I did not want to believe this at first but the more he told the story, the more detailed he was. He even knew that the oven doors opened like a refrigerator door instead of the traditional oven like we have at home. He described how it hurt when his teacher grabbed his wrist because of her long nails (which she has). When we went in to speak with the director, he looked visibly uncomfortable when he saw his teacher. I just received notice from the director that there was not enough evidence to do anything and this teacher is still employed there. Their Legal dept decided there was nothing they could do?!?! I am not sure how to proceed, but would feel horrible if I heard of another incident with this teacher if I didn't say anything. I have contacted a lawyer and local news stations to try to get a more in depth investigation. If you are looking for a daycare, I would look elsewhere. We had a very good experience with all of the teachers up to this point, but the fact that they are allowing this lady to continue working with children brings question to the management of this facility.

Disregard all the reviews that are complaining at the director, she's not working with this academy…read moreanymore. The management that currently is here is wonderful. My daughter is been attending this school for the last half of the year and we are extremely happy. This place hire real teachers, licensed, that have proper education and experience. The teacher that we have is extremely talented and devoted, we love her. She constantly brings new lessons, shares her curriculum and plans. My daughter has eczema and dietary restrictions so I bring my own food. My daughter had never been exposed to anything else they watch it closely and very carefully. The school is clean, fresh and modern, uses secure video cameras so you can always see what's going on with your kid. Kids go outside twice a day and spend a lot of time on the playground. Playground is really nice too, not just to show but a real playground where kids really have what to do. Couldn't be happier!

TLDR: Do NOT send your child here, especially if they have allergies! Many awful teachers,…read morecomplacent and rude administration. Our experience at Kiddie Academy has been nothing short of a nightmare. My son has allergies, which was not any trouble to manage at our prior facility and is not any issue at his current facility. KA gave him foods he was allergic to on multiple occasions. On at least two of these occasions, Trisha (accurately portrayed in a few of these other negative reviews) tried to mom-shame me for how I handled the incidents instead of focusing on how egregiously they messed up. After the 4th allergen exposure (that I know of, it was confirmed he regularly was given a salad dressing that contained an allergen though), I reported them to the state. They were supposed to come up with a better communication plan from the kitchen to the teachers about what my child couldn't eat. A few weeks later I found out from my son's new teacher that she had "no idea" what he is allergic to, and that the way she finds out he can't have something is from his prior room's teacher yelling across the hall "don't give that to him!" when the kitchen brings something he's not allowed to have. Absolutely terrifying. You might ask why I didn't just send his food myself. Two of his exposures were when I sent his food! I watched his teachers withhold his food, giving him about 5 minutes to eat at the end of lunch, and blatantly ignore his stealing food off the other babies' plates (he was about a year old for this). At one point they gave him a special treat that was brought in by another kid without clearing it with me first. When I raised concerns about their behavior, he came home the next day with feces encrusted on his tiny little rear-end. Not even a dirty diaper, they just intentionally did not wipe him well and left it. On that note, he came home another time with feces up his back and through his onesie, no explanation given. I hope none of his classmates got pink eye from that one. The teachers in his first room were constantly on their phones, never engaging with the babies. I never saw so much as a book being read to them; they were left on their own to play with no interaction from a caring adult. My baby had very dry skin/eczema and I'd sent in lotion to be used when needed. His teacher quite happily told me that they never put it on him unless I specifically call to ask. It's almost like she was overjoyed at her own stupidity. This is a child who's face was often bleeding it was so in need of lotion, but I guess you can't see that when you're on your phone all day. Overall the administration wants to keep parents out of the building as much as possible. They continue cov1d-era policies where you must drop off and pick up at the front entrance unless you have a reason to go back and talk to your child's teacher. As a result, there is absolutely no sense of community (also they briefly lost a child from this policy, as noted in the state incident reports, yet they continue to cling to their process). I've talked to many other parents that don't even know all of their younger child's teachers' names and wouldn't be able to recognize them on the street. Many teachers are blatantly rude and disrespectful to parents when you do talk to them, and the administration's response is "they're a little gruff". What's tolerated is encouraged - if you cared about the interaction between parents and teachers you wouldn't allow your teachers to act like that. It's unfortunate that the majority of the younger rooms are such an abomination because there are some teachers that are GEMS in the older classes. We had a great experience with my oldest son, who was only there a year before entering kindergarten. However it was so strongly outweighed by the horrors of my baby's experience that I could never recommend this place, not even to my worst enemy.
