They exceeded all expectations, and I am realizing what childcare SHOULD be like compared to the old daycare. Dogwood excels in the following areas that I find important: Communication: The staff is prompt to communicate on all platforms, through the app, email, and phone. Food: they send out the weekly meal plan, and it's always healthy and nutritious food that my son loves. He's a 99th percentile guy, and so he eats a lot and is never hungry when I pick him up (unlike our old daycare). He probably eats better than me most days here! Staff: I can't say enough great things about the management and teachers here. From the moment we walk in, there's a smiling face at the front desk available to help with anything we need. The teachers clearly love what they do, my son loves them so much. After a year of challenging drop off and pickups with tears at the old place, it's refreshing that there hasn't been a bad handoff since the 2nd week. He even tried to go back in after picking him up he likes it so much. Facility: it's a beautiful facility and CLEAN!! Ample parking, and well thought out. Photos: I have received photos every day, to me this is important as the old daycare I was lucky to get 1 photo a month. They even put little text with it sometimes. This makes going to work and leaving my son at school a lot easier. To summarize this very long review, Dogwood is excellent and my only regret is not coming here sooner. We do drive 10 minutes further because we feel the level of care our son receives is worth it.

Our son absolutely loves Dogwood! And so do we!!!…read more Our son has been at dogwood since he was an infant. As he has progressed through the different age groups, each and every class room has been wonderful. Teachers are always willing to communicate, we have transparency into his daily activities, we get multiple photos daily of his activities, and he is learning so much. The food they serve is healthy and my son loves it. He gets breakfast and lunch each day. All home made right at the school. Their education programming is thoughtful and fun, with themed ideas each week/month that are great. They value sensory learning at a young age and keep children engaged as they get older with one on one learning each day. They also have as few plastic toys as possible, focusing on natural materials. Overall we feel like my son is in great hands each day!!!

ImaginOn: The Joe & Joan Martin Center on Seventh Street downtown to name just three. Each has specialties that make them individuals. The ImaginOn: The Joe & Joan Martin Center collaboration between the library district and the Children's Theatre is a hands down wonder. While some libraries specialize in library things (games and toys) to engage kids and others specialize in library materials (books and puzzles), ImaginOn has it all ... including plays and story times. The library itself is free to enter, multi-story, newish, clean and easy to get to, with available parking that is free for 90 minutes with a stamped ticket. This facility absolutely had everything to stimulate kids of all ages ... probably 2 to 12 being the sweet spot. Do make a point of finding your way here for a visit someday ... you'll be glad you did. Highly recommended.

There is always some sort of craft, legos, toys and computers for her to play with/use. They also usually have monthly events and a theater. I prefer to download the CMLibrary app to keep up with events. We prefer to come here on the Saturday's but it's definitely more packed. It's about 40ish families at every session. They have a parking garage (under the library) which you can take the elevator directly into the library. They validate for 90 minutes. The issue is when it's full or days they have events parking can really be a pain. They may direct you to park at 7th street parking garage but they only validate after 5pm on weekdays or anytime on weekends.

My husband and I have told her numerous times to take them off, yet we are finding my child's image on KidTime's Facebook pages, IG and Google. The owner still illegally posts them for financial gain, even though we have paperwork that proves she doesn't have permission and is not allowed to, ever. I will never bring my child back to this facility due to that reason. It violates child safety and a disregard for the privacy of the child and parents' wishes. An attorney has been contacted concerning this and maybe the owner will heed the attorney's instructions.

My children are in foster care and enjoy going there although I was unhappy on the last few occasions due to missing items etc. I advised the owner via text message I was unhappy- she supposedly placed a credit on my account to cover my lost wipes since this has happened on more than 1 occasion. I personally had no interest in sending the children back to this establishment however my children social worker advised if the children enjoy it they should be allowed to go. I called and made an appointment only to be called back by staff advising there was a suspension and they were contacting the owner to see why. I was never notified about any suspension yet I told the owner I was unhappy with the service and would look for other options; then the owner tried to say after several incidents with the children that are documented. My children have been bitten/hit etc in her establishment as well this is a drop off unlicensed center. I have previously asked what the policy was and was simply told by Kid Time staff that when a child bites or misbehaves the parent must come get the child which has happened on a few occasions. I have also received incident report(s) when my children have been hit/bitten by other children as well. In the text messages the owner never took ownership for any wrongdoing of her staff , blamed me for buying multiple pizzas which I have been doing since they attended Kid Time since I have a sibling group of 4. NO ADULT in one sitting should eat 5 slices of pizza- exercise common sense. I don't recall reading any of the information the owner sent via text in their policies and procedures. I'm disgusted by her and her organization. As someone who tries to support black businesses from another black business owner they will never see a dime of money from me.

A Wonderful Agency You Can Grow With!…read more We have been extraordinarily happy with Ms. Leigh Roberson and her team since they began helping us before the birth of our first child in 2021. Ms. Roberson and her team have been wonderfully helpful not just with the initial nanny search, but with our continuing, ongoing child care needs of all kinds. Elspeth is a internal medicine physician who specializes in geriatrics. I'm a kids cancer and gene therapy doctor at Levine Children's. We both have the honor of trying to help patients struggling with severe and complicated medical challenges - often resulting in unpredictible and unexpected work hours and on-call weekends. And our medical training meant Elspeth and I didn't start having children until relatively late in our lives. When Elspeth and I were lucky enough to begin our journeys as parents, our own parents are too medically frail themselves to be able to help us with our newborn children, and our other family too far away. Ms. Roberson and her team have been incredibly supportive and helpful from the very, very beginning. Neither Elspeth nor I knew anything about hiring a nanny: Ms. Roberson walked us through every step, including helping us with arranging the necessary payroll, tax witholding, and health insurance paperwork to do it all right. Ms. Roberson helped us recruit nanny candidates from across the country with substantial experience, from which we selected J, our amazing nanny who has been our primary nanny ever since our first child was born and continues with us to this day. But more than that: Ms. Roberson also helped us recruit skilled, experienced and caring temporary newborn care specialists at the very beginning, to help us with the most time-intense early days of our baby's life (since again, we have no family nearby or medically able to help, and we both continued to have clinical duties throughout). Their expertise for us as brand new parents was extremely, extremely helpful. And in the years since, Ms. Roberson and her team has continued to routinely help us with substitute and last-minute nannies to help us, when our primary nanny got sick, or when clinical duties suddenly required unexpected weekends caring for patients instead of being at home with the kids. Having the help of Ms. Roberson and her team to provide caring, capable help whenever our patients needed our help, has given us great peace of mind as we take care of the patients who depend on us. I highly and strongly recommend Ms. Roberson and her team, not just as a service to recruit one's first nanny, but as an agency that can continue to help you with the entire continum of child care help. We are very lucky to have her and her team. Thank you, Leigh!
