I have had the "to do" of writing a review for TLE on my list for several months. I am actually happy to just be getting to it now given how the world has changed - especially for parents, and I can share recent experiences with how well the school is doing to keep my family safe and learning. My two boys have been attending The Learning Experience in Lemont since we moved to the area last fall from downtown Chicago. As my husband and I are full-time working parents, we have had our boys in daycare since they were both as little as three months old, thus have experience with multiple schools. TLE has been an amazing experience and the boys are both thriving here. It is abundantly clear that the teachers, administrators and staff care about the children and families - they work to make everyday a good one for the kids and strive to communicate in important ways that parents need. During the recent shutdown, we were able to work with TLE teachers to keep our children engaged in education despite the hurdles presented. My oldest (4 year old) returned to Preschool on-site back on June 1st and my 20-month old to Toddlers that same date. I was incredibly nervous to send them back into the world, even with masks, but knowing the high standards and care that TLE provides gave me comfort that they would do everything possible to lead in their application of in-person learning in a Covid-active world. Since that date, I am watching my boys again thriving in a real learning environment and am impressed with how all the children and TLE team have adapted to the new normal. I love seeing my children laugh, play and learn right now and am so grateful to have a school like TLE to partner with today. My experience with TLE Lemont has been very good. IMO these are the important things when it comes to daycares: cleanliness, responsive directors/owner, a strong curriculum, my child's desire to return (after separation anxiety has worn off), and some firm, loving teachers. TLE Lemont has all of this. The directors are responsive and reliable (Brandy and Betsy); the owner is communicative and patient with parents; my child is engaged and articulate, and affectionate with his teachers who do a solid job of helping him develop manners. I've used their methods successfully at home. Rules and regulations re cleanliness and hygiene are diligently followed by TLE Lemont. Folks running the place actually care about the kids so they deliver everyday, especially in light of Covid, for which extra measures have been taken (temps, masks). What I think is pretty cute is that most kids know "Mr.Alok" (the owner) and are excited to see him, like regular "Hi Mr. Alok!" or "Bye Mr. Alok!" - that has to be because he has walked through the rooms and they have interacted with him in a positive way. Parents worry about the choices they make for their kids and of course I hoped that sending my son to TLE Lemont was the right choice. His developmental growth and safety is largely in the hands of his teachers at TLE Lemont, and I am happy to say that this place has worked out well and is one less thing I worry about. read more

My family and I moved to Lemont 6 years ago. We feel so lucky to live in a town that we love and can truly call home. TLE has played a major role in why we feel this way. Now my kids are 7, 5 and 3. My oldest child started TLE at 2.5 years old and second child at 7 months old. I was a nervous and emotional mom looking for childcare for my babies. I visited many daycares including at home daycares and interviewed nannies. I can still remember my first visit to TLE. Everything felt right. We were impressed with the building, set up of rooms, curriculum and most importantly, the connection we made we staff. Years later, my oldest is in second grade and he was very prepared for kindergarten. The preschool and pre-k programs were great both for academic content and social-emotional learning. My 5 year old daughter is currently in TLE's kindergarten program. She loves her teacher and has made great progress since the start of the school year. As a family with two working parents, we could not be more happy to be a part of the TLE family. They truly love what they do and they are good at it! We've been sending our girls to The Learning Experience for a little over two years now - my oldest started at three months and my youngest just started there at six months. I can say, without a doubt, sending them to TLE was one of the best decisions we made. The teachers there are wonderful and my daughter absolutely adores the teachers she has had. Even as a two year old, she would ask to go say hi to her infant teachers because she still had a bond with them and they would stop in her classroom to see her. And maybe my daughter is just a social butterfly, but everyone knows her - she's not just another kid. From the owner, who would take her on walks with him, to the directors, who have never ending patience , all the teachers and the staff - everyone knows their names and I can say my girls never lack for feeling loved at TLE. From a development standpoint, the girls are thriving. My sister teaches preschool and has often stated that the things my daughter says and does are often at the same level or above her preschoolers and the activities TLE does with them are the same. The girls thrive on the routine at TLE and we're so happy that we decided on sending them both here! read more

My son attends pre-school here and he has grown so much from this center. He started attending after always being cared for with a nanny or myself being home. When we thought it was time for him to start school, The Learning Experience was such a great fit. He started in there Twaddler room, which is there was of saying older 2 year old room. Yes of course the first week or so was a bit rough on both mom and baby being dropped off. But the staff made the transition so easy for it to happen. Now my son has an amazing vocabulary and learning how to write. The center director ,assistant director, and staff are some of the most caring and loving people. This really makes you feel happy and secure that your child will be somewhere that they actually care and get to know the child, not just it being a job. As parents we want the best for our children and The Learning Experience makes you feel better about them being in someone elses care for the day. read more

My son attends preschool here at TLE and he adjusted very quickly, thanks to the staff! They are welcoming, comforting, and know every kid by name. Even staff that aren't teachers of my son have said hi to him by name as we walk the hall. My son has made many new friends and he truly enjoys every day spent here. I've seen major developmental leaps in him and I have TLE's curriculum to thank for that. My son has a severe egg allergy and they are very attentive and careful of this as they serve his snacks and meals. Our son brought home a new tradition from his routine in school, and he now won't eat a meal at home without signing the "please and thank you song before his first bite." So, a huge thank you to all staff and especially Ms, Katie, Ms. Tiesa, Ms. Brandy and Ms. Robin for loving our boy and making him feel comfortable and "at home" while in your care! read more

My son attends Preschool here and he has attended two other preschools in the past. For me, TLE sets itself apart in the following ways: 1) Personal attention: The owner and directors are vested in the school. They have their own children here and they always ready to listen to feedback and execute on improvements. 2) The curriculum: It is well defined, well rounded and granular. There are three levels of Preschool curricula and this particular location actually has four preschool rooms open. My son has greatly improved his verbal, math and social skills in the past few months plus he brings home plenty of projects and worksheets to review. I have a couple of friends with children in younger rooms and they have had a very positive experience as well. I would highly recommend this preschool to everyone! read more

My son is in preschool here and he's doing so well, he knows how to write all the letters and numbers, he is starting to read, he has excellent social skills and he loves going to school every day. The teachers are great, they seem to really care about the kids. The only drawback is that in the past there has been a lot of teacher turn around. In the room he's in now, that's not a problem, but in the past there have been times when it seems like there's a new teacher every month. Management is good, any time I have a problem, they do listen and try to come up with solutions. But, overall the teachers are amazing and love our kids. I would recommend TLE to any parent. Most importantly, he likes going to school and seems to be advanced from a learning standpoint! read more

My daughter has been attending TLE-Lemont now for 16 months and we absolutely love the staff and facility, highly recommended! My daughter started when she was 1 years old and later transitioned to the next room up. The teachers in her first room were so patient with her when she first started since school was new and she took a couple months to get used to her new routine. They helped us wean her of her pacifier during the day as well. The teachers in her second room have been very patient and helpful with her potty training. I appreciate all of the pictures they send to us throughout the day. The Center Director has truly gone above and beyond to help us as we are first time parents with lots of questions and concerns. read more

I cannot say enough wonderful things about TLE Lemont. The staff is always positive, friendly and professional. They provide excellent communication which I believe is so important when considering who to trust with your children. The app they use is a great tool that lets me stay informed about my child's care throughout the week and seeing pictures of the fun she is having always brightens my day. It is never an easy decision when it comes leaving the safety and wellbeing of your child in someone else care, but I believe we made the right choice with The Learning Experience. We LOVE The Learning Experience. I have sent my 2 children there since they were infants and they have thrived both academically and socially. The staff truly took the time to get to know us, and they treat my children with the best care possible. My kids are constantly learning new things and are involved in enriching activities. After completing The Learning Experience's program, my daughter is well above average in skills for entering Kindergarten. They also went above and beyond to accommodate my youngest child's many allergies and were in constant communication with us in case of any issues. So our son has been attending TLE in Lemont since he was a baby, and he is now almost 5. Every time he graduates to a new classroom, we are saddened because the last teacher was so wonderful we didn't think she could be beat. But- after a few short days we realize that his new teacher seems to be as good or even better than the last! How can you top the best? Well, the entire staff is top notch. I've never seen so many caring teachers and caregivers who are passionate about the kids. From director Ms. Mindy all the way down, our minds are at ease knowing that our son is in good hands. My son is two and a half years old and he has grown through two rooms so far. I held off on writing a review for TLE-Lemont, but the recent change in administration and ownership has really pleased me. New teachers have been hired to maintain consistency in each room and the new management really cares about the health and education of each child. My son received a comprehensive assessment, his food has become fresher and healthier and feedback from parents is taken very seriously. I plan to keep my boy here until he is ready for Kindergarten. read more

Sent our kids to TLE since they were 12 months old. Every staff member in the building treated them like they were family. The directors are very responsive to any of your needs or concerns and the owner is constantly innovating and looking for ways to grow and improve the center. The tuition rates are very fair and aligned for the services provided as well as the great - and fun- curriculum they offer. My kids were by far ahead of the curve when it came time to preschool and kindergarten readiness. read more

As a parent, I entrust my greatest blessing to the staff at The Learning Experience every day, and I am grateful for the loving care and guidance he receives. My son has been blessed with awesome teachers. My child has learned so much and continues to share with me the great activities that go on each day at "school!" I love this preschool. My son started as a Toddler and has attended TLE for about a year now. I was very apprehensive about sending a 15 month old to a preschool, but what really made me happy is how much he loved his teachers and looked forward to going there within a few days of transition. Their communication through the pandemic was exceptional and they re-opened as soon as they could. I feel very comfortable sending my son back with the safety protocols they have in place. read more

We are very happy with the experience we've had thus far at TLE. Our daughter started at 3 months, and I was very nervous leaving her with a stranger! The staff made sure to communicate with me daily through text, email, and their app, and post pictures of my daughter learning and having fun to put my mind at ease. Have had a wonderful experience in this location. My daughter was having a little trouvle adjusting to going to school and leaving us since she had been mainly watched by my MIL when the husband and I were at work. They were paitient with her and very understanding of not only our hectic schedule but our busy bee. Now that she has adjust she begs to go to "school" all the time! The entire staff overall is so caring and attentive!! We love them and can't imagine sending my son anywhere else!! My son went to Kindercare before The Learning Experience and he had so many issues there that I refused to keep him there any longer after a teacher acted like she didn't know anything about my son being injured outside and only found out about it from me after I saw the nasty scrapes on his arm and knee! And they're cheaper than Kindercare too! read more
