My son has been at this facility for three years. I have nothing but extremely positive comments regarding the facility, administrators, and the teachers. We feel that TLE has created a community of parents, The "TLE family," and an environment of care and learning that has been exemplary for my son. He is almost reading as he leaves pre-K and has been well prepared for kindergarten. We made lifelong friends during our time here and always felt partnership with the teachers and administration whenever something came up. Covid was a very difficult time, but we got through it and TLE did an amazing job at keeping the children safe, communicating with the parents, and creating an environment of learning even during a pandemic. When we moved to Riverdale in 2019, we started our daughter with an in home educator who we all got really close with. Shortly after, this person had to leave and we were in need of daycare that would offer care and education for our daughter (who was 2 at the time) that kept up the momentum for how much and quickly our daughter was learning. We eventually came to find TLE in Riverdale, and were so pleased with the initial impression. Through time, our daughter demonstrated continuous learning (started in daycare knowing numbers, letters, shapes, and colors, and now expanded number counting to 30, is able to list colors in Spanish, and always catches her mother and myself by surprise when she demonstrates her growing knowledge). Also, the way that this facility has managed safety and care during the heaviest parts of the COVID pandemic solidified to our family that we had chosen well. Since both her mother and I are considered essential workers, the fact that the daycare has remained open for a huge portion of this time (rarely did they close, but always had safety measures in place) made for a really supportive service. We loved that they also had requirements for the children to wear masks as well as the staff. Overall, there isn't anything negative I can say about this particular daycare. We moved away and had to select a new daycare, but I cannot emphasize enough how positive our experience has been with this facility. We will miss Surbhi, Teresa and all the lovely staff at this location dearly. read more

My daughter has been attended TLE since she was 8 months old and now is 20 months. Like any other parent, I was very hesitant about entrusting just anyone with my baby. When we visited TLE, I could see how much the teachers really cared for the kids and were very invested in their well-being. I am so happy to say that my daughter thrived in a safe environment and learned new things everyday. Unfortunately, we had to move and send her to a new school. Her new teachers were amazed at how advanced she is for her age and how she was able to assimilate so quickly into a new environment. I have TLE Riverdale to thank for that. read more

Our daughter Olivia started at the Learning Experience shortly after her 2nd birthday. She adjusted to her new environment pretty much just as Surbhi and her classroom teacher Celina had said she would, which was quite comforting, since leaving your little one in the hands of others for the first time is so challenging. Olivia quickly loved her new school, the teachers, her new friends who call her name every morning like Norm on Cheers, and the programming. We immediately started seeing her learning things which amazed us at her age, the days of the week, all her colors, counting to 20 all accurately! All these months later, she has flourished at TLE, and I am so happy. It feels like a family there, combined with a wonderful learning environment where your child will grow in every way. My daughter spent two years here. They are great. If we did not relocate would continue to keep my daughter in daycare here. They are kind, accommodating and not only had my daughter meet her milestones but actually went above and beyond. All the teachers and administrative staff are top notch. read more

Our son recently attended daycare at TLE Riverdale for a few months (ages 4-7 months). We only left because we moved out of state and we were very sad to leave (our son included.) We are first time parents and we were nervous about sending our infant to daycare, but it turned out amazing. Because of covid, there were only a couple other babies in the classroom and he got a lot of hands on care. All of the staff were so caring and full of love for our son and all the children there. You can tell for many of the staff it's not just a job and want to get to know the families personally- they were friendly and always ready to talk, whether chit chatting or responding to our questions. The administrative staff, Surbhi, Raquel and Theresa, treated him like a family member- with love, respect and attention. Even one day he spat up on Theresa's hair and we felt so bad, but she didn't complain once and genuinely seemed to be understanding about it. His teacher Davasia was also very intuitive. Almost every day our son was beaming with a smile when we dropped him off and he saw all the teachers' familiar faces. The facilities are bright and clean and they go outside every day in the playground out back. We also felt relatively safe sending him there during Covid as they emphasized mask wearing and screenings. The other families we knew there also were taking it seriously which was comforting. Also there's an app they would update frequently during the day with information about feedings/naps/diaper changes and photos so we could see how our son was doing. On Mother's Day they even had him make a card for me with his feet prints which was unexpected and so sweet. I would really recommend TLE! read more

I am happy that the TLE is good for other scholars. It was an extremely poor experience for mine. My son started at the school as a three year old and he was placed in a classroom of four and five year olds. We were upfront with his struggles and even told the staff of his IEP. On Day One, I was told that my son was struggling. No worries I thought. It was his first day. Day Two, the director lied to my face and told me that my son injured a teacher, which he did not upon speaking with the teacher. I assessed the class he was placed in and immediately told them that this was not the right fit for my son. Day Three, I went into the classroom, sat and observed and came away with the fact that the class of four and five years was too advanced for my three year old with an IEP. Three hours after leaving the school, a teacher called me and stated that "my son has potential but the class is a disservice to him." Agreed. I asked (again) if there was another setting to place him in. I was told no and that "I am sorry he cannot come back because we cannot serve him. He has real potential but the work we are doing is not on his level. He cannot come back Monday". We were upfront about his needs, his IEP, and our desires to work with him and within less than three days, we are told that he cannot return. I cannot think of a worse way to serve a child than to throw them out of a school because they cannot do the job they promised to do. I am an educator who runs schools. This extremely negative experience will motivate to ensure that the school that I run is inclusive of all scholars and there are services in place to help families transition out of schools besides having a teacher call and say "sorry, your son has potential but he cannot come back." I am sure TLE is a great school but for my child, I could not experience administrators who treated him any worse. Sad, because I was really hopeful for this place. read more

The staff at TLE went above and beyond the scope of their duties to care for my son. I immediately felt comfortable with the teachers and management, as they truly put their hearts into their work. As a single dad/firefighter, they played an essential role in educating and even helping to potty train my son. They taught him sign language, Spanish...etc. I can't thank you all enough! read more

Our daughter has been at The Learning Experience - Riverdale since February, starting when she was 18 months and we could not be happier. The teachers are so thoughtful and kind. I am a teacher myself and have been so impressed by the curriculum and how developmentally appropriate it is - our daughter comes home having learned new things every day and we can tell that her artwork is clearly child created. The school has a great app that they use to communicate with you throughout the day, sending lots of pictures and updates. Surbhi, Theresa, and Raquel in the office are amazing communicators and caregivers as well. Our daughter also has an allergy and they have been so careful about supporting her needs. We have two older children and have had experience with daycare, nannies, and preschool programs and this experience has been our best so far. She is so happy and well cared for and we are so appreciative. read more

AMAZING! My son was enrolled here from the moment their doors opened and I loved every minute he was there. Suhrbi, the owner, is truly the gem who kept everything afloat and always greeted me with a smile during drop offs/pickups. The teachers are amazing. My son entered 2 months shy of his second birthday and by his birthdate he knew all his ABC's, Shapes, and colors. If you ever had a question or concern, Surbhi was always there to listen. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is due to the director who was there while my son attended. Not sure if she's still there. Anytime I had someone of my family pick up my son they always complained to me how rude she was. Sometimes I would call to check on my son and the phone would just ring. I realized this would only happen when Surbhi was away from her desk and the director was taking calls. I once called while I was at the front of the school and watched her ignore my call. Aside from her , everything was amazing and I truly miss this place. read more

I cannot say enough how much I love the Riverdale Learning Experience!! I am a social worker and I've investigated day cares with ACS, and I honestly never thought I would feel comfortable with one. However, I was blown away by TLE's security, developmentally informed infant room, and clean and happy environment. But what truly makes TLE special is the love that each child experiences and the sensitivity that each staff member has for the different needs of each child.
