I understand my son…read moreisn't perfect and I could have done better but I knew months ago something wasn't right at this school. My son was 2 years old in a class full of children his age and had been since he started. Once my son switched classes things changed. I was getting phone calls constantly. At times it began to feel like he was the problem. Around June I went to pick him up and he has a large bump on his head. When I asked no one knew how he got it. About a week before I stopped sending him he came home with a scratch on his lip. When I asked what happened I never received an answer and haven't till this day. My son was potty training and would go through underwear a lot. I ended up sending pull ups and letting them know to put him in one if he ran out of underwear or at nap. I really tried to be understanding because his teachers were doing the best they could. One day after my husband picked him up, I noticed my son had on a diaper. He hadn't worn a diaper since he was 18 months. When I inquired about this I never received an answer. At that point I felt like I was being ignored. This place started off good but they have entirely too many toddlers in one class. I would walk in to get my son and see stuff everywhere! My husband even stated he saw a pair of scissors left on a table. It was too overstimulating and in my opinion, not structured. Again, this is in no way to come at his teachers. They did their very best. Front office staff was okay but some of them could have done better in how they spoke to parents and the teachers. Ms. Johnson was probably the best person on that staff and had a beautiful personality and spirit! All in all, there are other good quality daycares/schools in the area. My son is at a new one and thriving! I hope this review is useful and helpful. I came from an honest place and wish things could have ended differently.

When I dropped my child one morning, I heard the owner, Ann Wade badmouthing another parent to one of her colleagues. She went on and on calling the parent "crazy". It immediately put a sour taste in my mouth. What kind of business openly discusses the business of others? As a parent, this made me very uncomfortable. She was also super rude to one of the teachers and i just felt like this isn't the type of environment I want my kid in. The teachers there do SO much so this is in no way in reflection of them and i am willing to bet they are underpaid.

My child told me the other children yell and fight with eachother all day. The quality of education was a major dropoff from our previous school, this just a daycare center. After notice of my child withdrawal they required 2 weeks notice which meant 2 more weeks of tuition However continued to withdrawal weekly payments from my account beyond the 2 weeks. They ignored all my emails about being refunded and never answered the phone. There are plenty of other quality schools in the area. They are low staffed to the point to where they combine kids of all ages into one classroom int he mornings and evenings. This creates a safety hazard for smaller children. They also don't follow licensing minimal standards. Alot of the teachers use their phones a lot to allow the children to watch TV. The classrooms have gnats more than normal and the food isn't a fresh. I would hardly ever get assignments sent home from my child. The children play all day long. When I finally put my two week notice in the school charged me an additional week of tuition and refused to give me my money back. Alot of other parents have been complaining about them stealing money. Also, the director is very forgetful and doesn't even know the children's names. Yes, they have cameras however the quality sucks you can hardly even recognize your child, you cannot zoom in, and you can only watch for 5 mins 3 times a day. This place is cheap which is what grabs you in as a parent they will even ask you " what are you willing to pay". Please don't fall for it especially if you have a younger child. The Goddard school next door is a way better option! You get way more bang for your buck!

The school is beautiful, teachers (who have longevity) seem top notch. They have a structured curriculum and wonderful resources for music, drama, sports and music. They is an online parents portal for communication and have everything clearly displayed on the classroom wall (events, menu, curriculum, etc). The playground is awesome. They even have a pool for summer swim class. They have a library and computer room for pre-K. Speaking of which, they focus on reading and writing at 3 and 4 years old. They offer catered lunch and no juice (even staff said it was delicious?). They have 5 vans for field trips. They have an infant program and three daily schedules to accommodate working parents (1/2-day, school day, Full day). Kids seem extremely happy there. The school tends to have a waitlist and it is one of the more expensive programs on the area, but I can see why! I'd be delighted if my child could attend. Note: for comparison, we have also visited Casa dei Bambini Riverstone, Kiddie Academy Missouri City, Education Station, and the Walden School.

We just moved to sugar land (Riverstone) and had the…read moredaunting task of having to choose a preschool (daunting because sugar land has so many great options). Despite it being new and unproven, we ultimately went with kiddie academy for a few reasons. First and foremost, the director Sarah is amazing. She has a strong vision for the school and is a perfectionist. So even though this is a franchise of a chain, I really felt like Sarah was going to put her stamp on it - everything from quality teacher recruitment and training to the school's chef/healthy menu to the curriculum adaptations. She has many years of early childhood education experience, great connections, and is ambitious. The leader of a school is paramount (and I found some questionable and disorganized leadership at the other schools I researched and visited). Sarah is sharp, responsive and easy to communicate with. The staff and students love her. The other big reason we went with this school (and believe me we researched about a dozen, from Montessori to Reggio Emilia) is because the facilities are fantastic. Big, beautiful, naturally sunlit classrooms with just enough brand new toys and supplies and books (without feeling cluttered or overwhelming). The outdoor play area is awesome, and they have future plans for a splash pad and soccer field. There's also enough room indoors for physical play when it's too hot or rainy to go outside. And the security system is top notch. I love the flexibility that this school gives parents - they offer infant education through pre-K (so our soon to be born daughter can join her big bro at the same school). Their extended hours are the default (6:30-6:30) though you can opt for fewer than 5 days/week if you prefer. They take very few holidays - which is key for working parents. And they use the latest technology (apps and live streaming TV) to keep parents in the know all day/week long. I love being able to see how my son is behaving, adjusting, eating, napping, playing, etc. The only big question mark I had was about really small classrooms (since the school is still new, opened early 2018) and an undeveloped community of parents, teachers, etc. I think that still remains to be seen, but my very social son has been very happy in his first week there. And I've loved my conversations with the teachers. They are warm, helpful and supportive. When I picked my son up yesterday he didn't want to leave. Excited to help this school develop and establish a strong presence in the sugar land area. Message me if you want to know more.

We decided we wanted to kind of introduce him to more children as you know, he's a Covid baby lol. We noticed that a lot of other children who are walking attended daycare, but we don't want to take him to day care, so this was a great alternative for us. My son loves music and when I say, loves music, music and my son go hand-in-hand. We went to music class on Tuesday as well as the walkers class on Wednesday. Actually a first class was on a Saturday just in case you're not able to go during the week like we are. Immediately my son had a ball and a time of his life, I will say in the beginning he was not Would say comfortable doing some of the things but the more he learned how to do it he became more and more interested and excited to do those things. So if you take your child one time I noticed they are not really that interested it's more so because they're not used to it probably. We love coming here every week and will continue to do so. I will say that if you are not taking your child to daycare and this is like you introducing your child to other children, there is risk of them possibly getting sick from other kids. I just have to say that because there's that lol.
