I cannot say enough great things about this place! They all quickly became family. The way they care for and love all of the kids, you cannot ask for more. When we started our new daycare they were impressed at how many signs he had! I think it's important to mention that these are kids and things don't always go according to plan, but the entire staff handles the tough situations professionally and with compassion. I have 2 children that attend My Great Beginnings and I absolutely love it! My first child started when she was 15 months old and now she is 6 years old in the after school program. She was apart of the Pre-K program for 2 years because of her September birthday. She learned the 50 states, continents, famous paintings, math, phonics, basic science, handwriting, and so much more. The teachers are very loving. My second child is only 9 months and been there since 6 weeks. She absolutely loves Mrs. Yanti, one of the infant teachers. She is already participating in circle time and doing art work! The teachers do what ever they can to make sure both of us are comfortable. I would totally recommend this center to any of my friends in the area. FYI: I have been working at MGBLC for 5 years. I am stating this because I know the ends and outs and still would never put my children anywhere else. My son has been going here since he was two months old. I've always felt at home with everyone there. From my first visit, it felt like I was dropping him off with family. He has severe food allergies and they have been great in monitoring him for reactions. I'm amazed at how much he has learned there and now at almost 3 years old, he speaks very well, knows his numbers, ABC's, tons of songs, colors, shapes, etc. They are also one of the more affordable daycares out there. I cannot rave enough about My Great Beginnings. First, the front desk and office staff are exceptional. They made enrolling our daughter effortless and pricing is more than fair particularly when you consider all that you get when you enroll. They are incredibly friendly and approachable. You will be greeted with a smile and hello when you walk in and a "Have a great day" when you leave. Every time. The facility is impeccably kept clean. They offer modern features like cameras in each of the classrooms that you can monitor from your phone or computer giving parents peace of mind with the ability to "check in" on their kids. Meals are thoughtful and balanced. The curriculum for my almost 2-year-old included learning all of her colors in English and Spanish, shapes, her ABCs, counting in English and in Spanish. The teachers read to them every day and they have lots of toys and activities, Tumble Bus, art projects, and so much more. All of those wonderful aspects of My Great Beginnings by themselves are enough of a reason to enroll your child here but the greatest asset My Great Beginnings has are their teachers. Mrs. Bess has left such and impression on my daughter that she says "Bess" when we tell her it's time to go to school. Mrs Bess greets my daughter every morning with a smile and a compliment. Every single time! Mrs Bess is the perfect balance of loving and teaching. Mrs. Shaquilla ( I'm certain I spelled that wrong) seems to be in two or three places at once. Sometimes she's at the front desk, sometimes she bouncing between classes or sometime she's a teacher in my daughter's class. She is exceptional. Sometimes my daughter is upset about mom or dad leaving and Mrs Shaquilla takes her and holds her until she's calm and/or distracted. A crying child is going to be comforted when Mrs Shaquilla is around. Fact. Mrs. Gabby gives us updates not just on our daughter's day but progress in general every time we pick her up. She notices small changes in our daughters behavior and let's us know. When our daughter first enrolled and wasn't as confident as she is now when we would pick her up and we would almost always find her playing or sitting with Mrs. Gabby. Our daughter has lots of teachers and we have been impressed with each and every one. She's moving up a class in a couple weeks and as we are sad that she won't be with Mrs Bess, Mrs Shaquilla, and Mrs Gabby anymore we are reassured by the confidence we have that My Great Beginnings only hires the best so her new teachers will be of the highest caliber. If you're looking for an A+ daycare (it really is more of a school) then My Great Beginnings is the place to be. read more

Both my daughter and son went here when they were little. My spouse and I were wary at first but in a short period of time our heart and mind were at peace. Knowing our kids were in good hands while we were at work makes our day less stressful. The core staff, the manager and owner are very good. Most of the staff and teachers here are very nice, polite and loves little children. Once in a while there would be some issues with teachers and/or other kids. But the management would always work with us and resolves it. Their location is also a convenience for me and my spouse. We did not have go out of our way to work and this saved us some valuable minutes. read more

I can not rave enough about this place in the most positive of fashions! This school has been an absolute godsend for our family. If you want to bring your child/children to school & feel at peace while they are there, this is your place! Not only do they love and care for my daughter, but they have taught her so much in just a short amount of time. It's a great blend of learning and care; and this has been our first experience (out of 5 schools) to have catered to the desires we had for our almost 3 year old. All of the 5 stars. All of them. My son began attending MGBLC at 9 months of age, and has transitioned from the Infants to the Wobbler's room. The school was set-up to accommodate a mother's desire to send her baby to a daycare that offers affection (this mother is the director). If you want your baby to attend a school that offers affection (hugs, kisses on the forehead, spoken loving words), MGBLC promotes this, making it unique compared to many others. I love MGBLC and have given it 5 stars for the above mentioned and following reasons: MGBLC directors are present and involved (i.e. it is not a corporation; you can talk to the director face-to-face, get issues/concerns resolved expediently) MGBLC directors love their babies, and this shows by their actions/standards (student to teacher ratios are kept at or below state standards....webcam is available, so I know this is true; school meals are prepared on campus and are of higher nutritional quality than many daycares...this I also know as I am a registered dietitian who surveyed a lot of area schools; the school respects my wishes for my son...i.e. I requested that he not spend time in "infant containment devices", like swings, to which they adhered; my family went through a period of unemployment, during which they helped; they are very receptive to improving processes...i.e. I have lended books/materials re: stimulating infant cognitive, social, and motor development, which they happily received, and some of which still retain, or have ordered copies; they adhere to good hygienic standards like enforcing washing baby and worker hands after each diaper change ) MGBLC directors are good to their staff (when you visit the site, ask the workers. Employee retention, based on the two developmental rooms my son has been in, is good. This would be expected of a center that offers benefits like free child-care to workers. I think this is incredibly important because how can one expect their child to receive great care if the workers are unhappy?) MGBLC teachers are wonderful. My son's last teacher is a grandmother of 2 autistic children, and his current teacher is a retired school teacher. My baby is referred by his present teacher as her "jewel", and receives a kiss on the cheek everyday I pick him up. My son has an oral motor disorder and the school has been very patient and persistent with both him and me...I actually believe his issue is resolving because of their involvement. I can truly say that I trust these women/this school with the care of my son. read more

Our family has conducted business with them for 7 years now. While there have been some child/teacher issues, in each case they listened to our concerns and then addressed those concerns - so I think that is great. We feel like they truly love and care for our children - and any teacher that doesn't show that same level of love and attention do not last long at this center. We highly recommend MGBLC. read more

MY daughter has attended MGBLC since 2005 when she was 12 weeks old. She is loved and cared for and learns so many things. I really feel she is more advanced than most children her age and best of all when her father and I are at work, we know she is getting hugs and kisses and all the love she needs at this impressionable age. MGBLC is truly different than franchise daycares I have visited in my area. When I started my search for a daycare for my little girl, I felt the franchise daycares were rigid and too structured. The children did not seem happy and there certainly was not any hugging going on. I needed to know that the place I left my little girl was a loving place. MGBLC certainly is. My son who is now 1 has also attended since he was 12 weeks and he is doing great and loved it too. My little girl is off to preschool in a month and here is an excerpt of the letter I wrote to MGBLC thanking them for being a great daycare and a wonderful start for my little girl: "We knew this day would come. We just did not think it would be here so quickly. *** will be leaving MGBLC to attend preschool at *** Catholic School in Houston. Her last day will be Friday August 16th. For the last three and a half years the wonderful people at MGBLC have taken care of our little girl while we were working and we are so blessed to have found such a caring environment in which she could grow and learn. We know she is leaving with all the skills needed to do well at her new school. She has developed such a love of learning and we sincerely hope that love remains with her throughout her life. We cannot thank you all enough for all you have done in taking care of our little lady. Childcare is a very demanding job but the way you do it with genuine love and patience gives us great confidence that our children are well cared for. My child has attended this day care for almost two years now and the teachers have been great with him. Each classroom that he has graduated to has had a teacher that has kindly cared for him, as well as taught him many things for his young age. I like that the teaching curriculum picks up each classroom the child graduates to, as well. It also puts me at ease that I have access to a web cam that monitors my child's room at all times, so I can watch him throughout the day. We have had both of our kids here for a couple of years and they loved it. This is where they first discovered a place outside our home where they can both learn new things and have fun at the same time. This is also where they met lots of their friends. Our kids were happy and felt safe here. The teachers, especially the owner, were always friendly and helpful. We highly recommend this place to all our friends. read more
