A great thrift store and the best priced one in town, too! I love $2.00 Bag Sales on Tuesdays and have gotten some great clothes to both wear and re-purpose. The prices are very fair and they almost always have at least one tag color on sale. I never use Redbox because I would rather get 5 VHS tapes for $1 (or 10 when the store goes 50% off!). Books are always 10 for $1 and I love coming home with fresh reading for my library. Some items I have purchased here include a 1940s waterfall vainty, unique coffee mugs, comfy crochet blankets, and a vintage train case. read more

Regarding bag sales, I have arrived at 9:15 a.m. to see several regulars, the thrift industry calls "pickers", pulling clothing off hangers & dropping clothing items in a pile that is above their knees already.. I see them twist,compress & roll clothes to squeeze into bags & then carry 7-8 or more bags out of the store by 9:45 or 10. No trying on clothes for them. It's snatch & grab.. This is hoarding, a selfish game & competition among themselves, that leaves an unequal playing field for other shoppers in need. What makes it worse is a sense of entitlement on their part. The Shoppe needs to limit their bag sales to 2 or 3 per customer to eliminate these greedy women who enter the store as soon as it's unlocked & with highly focused concentration, strip the store of the best items leaving gaps & empty coat hangers everywhere. This does not serve the community, it serves a handful of :"pickers". I realize there are "pickers" everywhere & in every economic category. We've all seen Volvos, etc pull up at a flea markets, yard sale & Goodwills before they open. I ask the management respectfully to maybe have bag sales 3 times a week with a limit on bags or maybe certain hrs of ea day... This might make it a little less convenient for "pickers" & most of all give all shoppers an opportunity to benefit from bag sales. If these suggestions are lame, perhaps management who has more retail experience than myself, can come up with another solution to benefit ALL the Shoppe customers. Thank you. read more
