I went to this lego store to grab a valentines gift for my boyfriend and I am so glad I went to this location! As soon as I walked in, I was greeted and was complimented on something I was wearing. I asked the worker if they could help me find something, and on top of showing me where it was located, they also recommended a few other sets that had the same theme. I appreciated the conversation and the enthusiasm that this person had towards legos. You can tell they know the items well. When checking out, they continued to talk to me about movies and regular life stuff which was refreshing. All 3 workers were extremely nice! They also were stocked up, and the place was clean. Prices are obviously a little higher for a good quality lego set but It is worth it for a purchase one in a while! read more

This is the closest Lego store near me and is a 3 hour drive from my home. If I am after particular sets that I can't find locally we will make a special trip to this location. Situated in a mall the store is bright and colorful. The store is well organized by theme which makes finding the particular sets we are after easy to find. I love the Pick a Brick Wall as sometimes they have those tiles, water pieces, etc that are hard to find. It's fun shoving as many pieces as I can into a cup. They also have a build your own mini figs so you can get some that you may not find elsewhere. LEGO does do promos that if you purchase over a certain amount you will get something free. The staff is friendly and helpful, I do enjoy my occasional visits. read more

I had never been to a Lego store before. I somehow feel as if I had been cheated out of something until now. This is a decent enough store located on the lower level of the mall. The staff was nice and polite. The selection (I didn't know there were that many kinds of Lego sets!) . We were there the day after May the Fourth (be with you) and they had people dressed up from the Star Wars movies with light sabers to entertain people. Pretty cool. i would recommend this joint to friends and family. read more

I'm legitimately blown away every time we come here. It's one of the few stores in the mall that is staffed with knowledgeable people with real interest rather than apathetic teenagers. My three year old always drags us here so he can play in the open build displays. They're full of kids blocks and there are four building platforms so more than one babe can play at a time. We've literally sat there and played for an hour before and ever felt like we were inconveniencing staff. My husband loves this store too because he's quite the lego nerd. His favorite part is the giant wall of loose pieces so you can pick and pull what single ones you need. You literally just fill a cup as full as you can with random pieces. They're organized by size and color. The floor itself is organized in categories and by age. It's always perfectly stocked, which I'm sure is just an upside to having employees who truly care. Whether it's just my son and I or we're having a family day, this is the one store we always have to make sure we hit! read more

This isn't just a place for kids. Though there are many benefits for kids here like free monthly build kits. (Kinda jealous... Hey, I could pass for under 12, maybe? Ha.) Prices here are pretty much the same as prices for LEGO sets are standardized everywhere. The benefits to shopping here are getting points for the VIP program and other special gift incentives offered for larger purchases (usually of over $99). Items that are hard to find are clearly labeled with orange around the shelf tags and exclusive items are labeled with similar blue tags. There are builds of most items in displays next to the boxes which helps give a real sense of what is inside. The LEGO wall in back is quite impressive for a custom grab of miscellaneous colors and shapes. It is organized very nicely and extremely aesthetically pleasing. Don't except to find very specific replacements here, they have those online. My only real complaint was that when building the mini figures there are many pieces that are only available towards the bottoms of the bins... But when you put your hand down there to reach those rarer pieces you grab a lot hairs and sand like pieces of dirt. I consider myself usually pretty hard to gross out but once it got under my nails I was pretty turned off from touching the rest. I have been here many times over the years and staff and service is pretty average. Nothing bad but nothing particularly memorable or special. Pretty much what to expect, so nothing bad about that. Overall the selection and good deals make this place a trip worth driving across town for instead of buying else where. read more

The LEGO store even though it is an hour away but every time I go there they have the thing I need. Especially for LEGO Star Wars,Ideas and LEGO Superhero's. My only issue is I am a moc builder and they don't really have the best pick a brick wall but they still have good pieces but you know it could be better. But overall I love this store!!! read more

I LOVE this store!!!!! I've been here twice now and can't say enough good things about it! The staff is friendly and very helpful! I love the bulk legos you can buy, two sizes, two prices, of containers! As many you can stuff in it for one price each. Awesome! If you have the VIP card, you can build points and earn money towards free legos! They have a huge selection, and are cheaper than even places like Target & definitely Toys R Us! I had hadn't been in, at first, on the advice of a family member saying they were extremely expensive, but they were extremely wrong! A great store for kids from 1-110! read more

Loved legos as a kid and still do...zero shame. Granted, it had been a looooooong time since last I built my lego aircraft carrier and corresponding aircraft. But the people working here were helpful in helping me assemble my secret santa gift for my niece. And to be fair on the pricing front, they're not nearly as expensive as I thought they'd be. Was able to get everything I needed while staying under my $25 budget. read more

Incredibly fun place to have in the area! My wife and I always visit this store when we go to Oak Park Mall. Lego got me through my childhood. My nephews love Lego. We still have Lego around the house. Not much more I can say about this place other than they sell Lego, and lots of them. They have a wall where you can fill one of a couple sizes of cups full of assorted Lego. They have a station where you can assemble mini-figs. Great store! Fun place! read more

My boys always drag me into this store when I visit this mail. The employees are typically very friendly. The spouse of a former coworker of mine works here just to have the employee discount to dedicate towards his hobby! :) Now there's a tip, especially with that article I saw recently about keeps being worth more than gold! read more

YES! YES! YES! This new addition to Oak Park Mall opened mid-May and is ready for business. As the parent of a soon-to-be 5 year old, Legos play a big role in both of our lives. I'll admit that I've never really given up on my love for them over the past 30 years, and have pushed them pretty hard on my son, luckily he hasn't resisted too strongly. This store is a Lego fans dream come true. Every set in current release is available in the store, along with some very fun surprises. They have a Build Your Own Mini-Fig station in the middle, where you can choose from a great selection of faces, bodies, legs, headwear, and accessory to build your own guy. You make 3 for $9.99, with it's own clamshell package, so not bad at all. That may be what surprised me the most, the fact that all of the kits were available at the same price as the big box retailers in town. I would have expected to pay more, but that wasn't the case. Of course, The Lego Store gets their kits first, so some of the new releases will be here before Target/Wal-Mart, which is a plus. Perhaps the best thing of all is the random piece wall in the back. They have a huge selection of individual pieces available for purchase by the cup load. There are two sizes of cups, small: $7.99, and Large: $14.99. Let me tell you, these cups hold a lot of pieces, and you really do get a pretty good bang for the buck. This is a great way to beef up your collection without buying all of the kits. Insider Tips: I spoke with the staff a bit, and the random bit wall is constantly updated as they turn through inventory, so there will almost always be fresh bits to be had. The Mini-Fig section turns over once a quarter with new themes as well. And finally, the first Tuesday of every month is a special event at the store. They have a mini-kit available for 6-12 year olds where they build a small kit, and then get to take it home. June's was a pretty nifty little lawn mower. This event starts at 5:00pm and is a While Supplies Last. One staffer told me they get about 200 kits, but they don't last the whole night, so it's best to come early. All in all, I couldn't be more thrilled for this addition to the Mall, and look forward to dozens of more trips. read more

If you know Lego enthusiasts of any age, this is the place to be. There are lego or duplo sets for kids of all ages! You can even buy pieces by the size or color. I explored the store while I was in town for a wedding, telling myself I could get something for my nephew, which I did, but I really just wanted to look around. It was great! read more

The employees at this store are incredibly knowledgeable and even more friendly. I went there with my kids recently and one of the clerks helped me "feel" thru the blind bags of the new series 14 mini figures so I could buy them all. She didn't need to do that and it was especially nice of her. My second visit had another surprise in that a different employee gave me a coupon for free online shipping from Lego.com. This coupon ended up saving me $11! In this ever cynical growing world full of people who look for ways to NOT help you, it's nice to visit one store that goes above and beyond for their customers. read more
