TableTop is an excellent stop for anyone interested in card games, board games, puzzles, unique finds, Warhammer materials, or groups to join! First of all, TableTop has an excellent selection of games and other related materials. I've never seen so many Settlers of Catan or Ticket to Ride expansions, but if you need them, they're available! They also just have so many games that I would have never seen before, so I always make sure to have a while to look around to find new things. Second--everyone who works there is SO GREAT and very, very knowledgeable. I can't tell you how much more exciting this makes the experience because they are willing to spend time and give options based on what you're looking for. Been coming here every weekend to play games with my boyfriend. It's a really neat place, all the games and tables are free for all. They do sell drinks, alcohols and snackies. They also have a store with tons of board games and fun stuffs to explore. Definitely a nice place to hang out with friends. Only down side is they close pretty early so it's not for night owls. read more

This is a neat place, I am finding out there is an up rise of board gamers in the KC area. It seems like more and more of these spots are springing up around the city. We checked out the board games in the store and I will probably be back to check them out in more detail. I'm a part of a group of board game nerds and I happened to visit this store with one of them just out of curiosity. It's a haven for board game lovers. The store is clean and has it's board games well sorted. It's easy to browse through their collection without jumping too much between different genres of games. They have cool figurines that can be used as replacements and they also have wooden blocks of various shapes and sizes for the gamers to design their own game or the board itself. I was very impressed with the wide variety of paints/colors and brushes this store offers to help gamers customize their games. Another imppresive feature is their game room. It's not what you think! We love this store! We play a lot of board games as a family and with friends, so we always love to come here to stock up on new games. We never leave empty handed. They have an incredible selection! What a gem! There's a 99% chance Tabletop has whatever board game you are looking for, and on that 1% chance they don't, they can easily order it! My friend had them order a certain board game one Saturday we visited, and by Wednesday she was able to pick it up. Aside from games, they carry various rule books, figurines, dice, paint, and other accessories to enhance tabletop game play. The staff is both friendly and knowledgeable. When looking for a Christmas present for a friend we often play games with, Phil noted our usual games and what we like, and then gave us several recommendations at different price points. Phil is such a great business owner- he is passionate about games, keeps a clean and welcoming store, and gives the community a place to engage. Tabletop has different workshops and tournaments in their adjoined space. They have about a dozen tables and several massive bookcases full of games that are free to play. We experienced that space for the first time last weekend when my friend introduced us to another couple friend. We came to Tabletop and learned how to play Colt Express (a chaotically fantastic game, by the way). Not only is this a great business model to let people try before they buy, but it's a great place for the curious to see just how many amazing games are on the market now. Arguably one of the coolest finds I've come across since living in OVP for a year! My boyfriend and I recently got into board games and didn't think much of the store based on outside appearance (a tree kinda blocks it from street view so we honestly didn't know this place existed!), but thought we'd browse while waiting for our table at First Watch. This place is impecably clean! At other board game stores, you'd probably find a layer of dust caking the boxes but not here! We browsed around looking at all the unique games they have here without sneezing one bit and no ones allergies acted up! As mentioned before, there are a T O N of unique games I haven't see at other stores before -- you could browse forever looking at everything. The coolest part (in my opinion) was the gamr room next door! They also have a section dedicated to figurines (I am a n00b and don't really know technical terms, spare me) -- also really cool and unique. Tabletop is easily the best gaming store in the Kansas side of Kansas City metro area. Despite the great Toe-bias' retirement, the staff is still top-notch. (Toe-bias was the store cat and official nightwatch..er cat). I usually get my dice there and other RPG things. For Christmas, I cruised the vast selection of board games for a present for a friend who is a huge board game nut. It was very overwhelming, the selection available. Board games for every age and size of group. The paint selection for miniatures is second to none (and us cosplayers should be using this shop more often as the paints are really that good). My wife and I have gotten really into board games and card games lately. We came across Tabletop after visiting the nearby Vintage Stock. This has now become our little nerd corner of stores with Tabletop, Vintage Stock, Microcenter, and SoPro all in one area. This place is great for any type of board game you could want. They have all the model and miniature stuff if you like games like Warhammer. Plus they have basically any board game and it's variations you could want! My wife and I have purchased so many games here, we can barely play them all. Also, if you are just looking to play games, they have a space where you can game with friends, setup a meetup, or participate in tournaments and game nights they host. It's a pretty cool place! Something always seems to be going on here. The people who work here are also pretty cool and pretty knowledgeable. If you tell them the type of game you are looking for, they can help you find something you'll enjoy. They have stuff that ranges from the hardcore gamer who loves complex stuff to simple games you can play with your kids, or in our case, older parents. Great fun for all! I make it a point, when I travel, to stop at the local gaming stores and purchase something. If we don't support local gaming stores, they will not be there... This store was amazing... I just visited Tabletop Games this afternoon for one card game (Canasta) and was blown away by the friendly staff and friendly shoppers at this store. It must be an awesome environment to bring in awesome customers! This shop was the only one in town with the game I was after. Their selection is tremendous and very well organized. They even have a wall specifically dedicated to a popular YouTuber who plays/demonstrates games. I went in for one game and left with four! Can't wait to get home and have the family play. I've been a fan of this store for several years now. I think it's a shame that all of their positive feedback wasn't able to move with them to the new location. I've only managed one visit since the move, but I'll tell you this: 1) The game room is even bigger than before. 2) The incredible selection of games may not actually be bigger, but looks that way due to increased shelf space and clear flow of product layout. 3) It's the same friendly staff as before...including Toebias! 4) Seriously, everything I loved about Tabletop, now with more shiny and a better parking situation. 5) Are you not there yet?
