My daughter recommended her favourite place for pampering which is the Brow Babe. I was super excited to go, as my daughter Nicole had phenomenal make up and braids done there many times before. First thing I want to say is their space is very cool and so relaxing. I could have hung out all day taking in the atmosphere. Going to one place and getting your makeup and hair done at once is awesome. Taylor did my make up. Her attention to detail blew me away. She takes her work so seriously. I felt amazingly comfortable letting her do what she does. I don't wear much make up but she made me feel incredible wearing it. It was perfect for me with unreal lashes. She really is a make up artist! Wow! I felt like me times lots of confidence rocking it. Next up it was Whitney who is a amazing braider. It was unreal. I watched her help two other clients before me and I was sold on her artistic creativity. Honestly I was so happy with what she did with my hair. Genevieve was so professional, meticulous and personable. It was a fantastic experience. She goes above and beyond to make sure that you are comfortable and uses an incredible numbing agent that makes any discomfort very minimal. (Especially on the lips which can be so sensitive) Her studio is very welcoming, comfortable and impeccably, clean and sterile. Over the years I have had two more appointments with her to touch up my brows and they are absolutely perfect. 2 years ago I had her do permanent eyeliner as well as tattoo lip blush. You can always hear stylists chatting with their clients and having fun while "beautifying". Esther's skill in ethnic hair is a welcomed comfort to anyone looking for Black hair care, special needs for hair loss and weaves and extensions. No one is more informative and keeps the interests of her clients in the forefront of every consultation. I drive the 2hour 20minute there and back home in one day every 6 weeks - rain, shine, snow or sleet. If that doesn't tell you about her quality, I don't know what would convince you.

When I arrived there, the esthetician told me she only did clusters so I agreed to them, though a little disappointed. Once complete I took a quick glance at the mirror, paid and left. Upon arriving at work (10mins later), I took a closer look in the day light and to my horror the eyelashes were terrible!!! First of all, clear glue was used and gooped on so much you could see clear glue chunks on my eyelashes. They were heavy and looked terrible. My co-worker/friend looked and asked "Holy! What happened to your eyes!" Needless to say I went back right away. After talking to the owner (i'm assuming she's the owner), she looked and said there was nothing wrong with them, i was almost in tears because they were so horrible, she did not want to give me any reimbursement because I had already left the salon (I was only gone for max 30mins). She wasn't willing to do anything, so she gave me a little bottle of glue adhesive remover and told me I could do it myself!!! Worst experience of LIFE at a salon! I have no idea why that place is still open. Terrible service, very unprofessional. I guess you get what you pay for after all.

I've had a few major…read morehealth surgeries mostly as a kid, which left me with abundant scarring in various places - two of them being right on my face! A few months back, I went to see a facial surgeon and not only did he tell me that it would be risky (i.e. breathing issues), he said that I would require a whole other operation and quoted me $2,000. I felt depressed and tried my best to not think about it. With time, I thought I'd try again and went for a consultation at Midwest. The lady who saw me wasn't so sure about my scars so she called in Dr. Stewart, who felt my nose and forehead with her hands and immediately told me she could definitely take care of one, and improve the other. She said it was not cartilage like the surgeon had told me, but rather damaged skin and excess/lack of tissue in those areas. I don't know how to describe it, but she exuded such confidence in her words that I had a strong feeling she really knew what she was talking about. She of course mentioned that it wouldn't be a 100% perfection, which is granted (she was realistic overall, such as mentioning how my kidney scar is too stubborn for significant improvement with lasers and it would be a waste of my money). Further, I have an olive complexion, and so she told me to return in the winter time so that any possible sun damage could be avoided/reduced. I felt very cared for (I've had bad rushed laser burns once before on my legs elsewhere, believe me). Yesterday was my appointment. Rae (the aesthetician), called Dr. Steward in the room to clarify what was going to be done and they both spent a good chunk of time answering to all of my questions and anxieties. I am not kidding, but about 2 minutes into the first procedure, the hypertrophic raised scars on my columella and scar tissue into my nose were completely gone (with the ablative laser, don't remember the name). I couldn't believe the mirror! I was so happy I could have cried, but of course I had to act put together. And my other scar, which was badly indented, was visibly improved (with CO2 laser resurfacing) after only the first session. I am still healing, but will most likely put up some before and afters. Just amazing! I would also like to mention Kerri (another aesthetician), who handled the CO2 part and again, all my questions were thoroughly answered. Thank you so much. I know this is a super "extra" review but I mean my face has transformed. I'm the one that had to look at it the way that it was everyday. Something I was told would probably never get better, was enhanced to a level I honestly didn't think was possible, and so easily too... In a small city like Sask, I'm both impressed and relieved that there's a place like this. Lastly, when someone isn't 100% confident on something, I love that they aren't shy in admitting that and then they inquire with one another. On my way out, I had more questions about recovery and they were again answered with a good amount of patience and time. A very happy client!
