Nate…read moreand I stopped in while we were in town last summer and looked around - there are lots of different types of items including kid stuff (clothes, toys, books, etc.), tiny animal figurines, cards, jewelry, art, accessories, home and garden goods, bath and body products, chocolate, decor... quite an interesting mix of items. We ended up buying a Michigan made felted wool cat toy that looked like a mouse. Super cute and durable. The employee ringing us up was very friendly and nice and told us about the cat toy, which was cool. I always appreciate a kind interaction at places like this. I think this would be a great place to shop for someone who's "hard to buy for" since there are so many different types of gifts and products at the Caravan Gift Shop. It's one of several small local retailers located in the nifty walking mall called Nickels Arcade, off S. State Street. They have a variety of items that would make nice gifts, ranging from hand-sewn handbags, kitchenware and old school wooden toys. The staff were nice. They said hello and goodbye with a smile but didn't hover. I always appreciate that.

You visit their shop and what you find is not necessarily as has been preached. Do not see any "local" artisan made products here at all. I know plenty of local great quality artisans who have been pushed away from this business. So sorry to see made in China boxes and labels throughout the store. So sad that the stores owners don't practice what they preach. Did they not say that this is how they started in their humble beginnings. Crafters. This is what America has come to, even in decorating our homes, made in China merchandise.

That should have given it away but you never know. Large parking lot because it's a mall. There was a big store sign so you could not miss it. The store was well lit, smelled nice and had a free coffee station. There were sports items, clothing, signage for your home decor needs and trinketa glore but nothing antique. No one greeted us. They have packed so many enchanting items into a small space you could look around for hours. One child loves fairy garden supplies, and they have many fun and unique finds. My other child loves jewelry, especially earrings. They had so many at all prices to fit your budget, from a few dollars to more elegant crystals and gems. They have a lot of great home and holiday decorations, plus a cute upstairs where they featured some discount items. I bought a couple little gifts and think this is a great place for find more gifts, especially for the holidays. I love this kind of boutique. Between all the soothing scents, beautiful items to look at, and all the wood and exposed brick. It's hits all of my favorite things. When you're into shops like this like I am you'll sometimes see some of the stock repeated from store to store. But at Stone and Spoon I rarely see things I've seen anywhere else. They have really great eye and amazing suppliers that keep things fresh. I appreciate that. Last time I was here I got a few houseplants, a wax sealer for mail, a few cookbooks, and some Gus & Grey passion fruit cocktail syrup. They're also doing a promotion with some Main Street restaurants right now, if you purchase something there and then show the slip of paper at the restaurant, you get $10 off your next meal there. And vice versa, if you go to the restaurant, and then show the slip of paper at the store, you get 20% off one item. I needed souvenirs to buy for my co-workers back home and I didn't want to just hit up the airport gift shop on my way out. I wanted to support local businesses who make vintage quality souvenir magnets - similar to what you'd find at the airport but not at the airport. I was with my friend on a brisk Friday evening and we stumbled upon this place. We had asked around for souvenir shops in the vicinity, but ended up here at Roeda Studios. They actually had what I wanted here and thankful that I didn't have to go all over Ann Arbor to get it. In hindsight, Detroit airport didn't have much anyway and I was glad that I came here for souvenirs. We entered around 6pm, exhausted after searching through 3 nearby shops. When the cashier told us they carried Michigan inspired souvenirs, I was happy and thankful that the search was over. Roeda Studios is one of those stores that carries an assortment of trinkets and cute household things that you can decorate your home or office with. There's plenty of Michigan inspired items along with some University of Michigan logo items too. The store itself is very organized and meticulously clean. Just glad that I didn't need to buy at the airport on my way out in Detroit. The overall experience here at Roeda Studios here in downtown Ann Arbor, Michigan was quite nice and easy. My reference would be the $6 magnets you find at the typical airport kiosk to $10+ unique ones you find here at Roeda, if you were to find something special for Michigan. Cutest kids boutique I've been to! I stumbled in looking for a gift for a 6 year oLd. I was in love…read moreonce I walked in. The variety of clothes from baby to 10 year olds was incredible. So much to choose from. In the back of the store there are Melissa and Doug toys. I had the opportunity to meet Rosa the owner. She was so sweet and helpful. She told me she could order anything I needed if they didn't have it out. I'm so glad I found this little gem.
