Lived here for the past two months. Amenities and apartment is nice , The office staff at the front desk are alright , but it's quite difficult to get in contact with the landlord herself in charge . And when you have requests or questions they're quite rude and demand and barely listen to you . Quite unprofessional and very Uncompassionate and very rude. Human decency isn't really a thing anymore I suppose especially if it affects their day. Bigger priorities than tenants even after an emergency situations such as mental health awareness , rather two-faced and has fake concern just to save their asses. read more

I loved my experience at the Lexington so much. I moved out in 2023 but was there for a year and it was a fantastic apartment. There were barely any maintenance issues and when they happened, they were resolved quickly. The apartments are nice (I miss the in-unit washer/dryer), the amenities are great, and the office/lounge is wonderful. Literally the only issue was sometimes the printer didn't work and that wasn't a big deal, I could just print on campus. And I really, really loved the manager and front desk staff. This place is near the freeway so be prepared for car noise and lawnmowing noises sometimes in the morning. Also, my apt. was near the Cesar Chavez parking lot, and they (not Lexington) have a weird sound that plays on speakers whenever someone enters the property. It's a voiceover saying "you are trespassing". It wasn't an issue for me, just kind of funny and something to be aware of if you have an apartment near there! The Lexington apartments were amazing to live in for my first college apartment. The staff are all so friendly, kind, helpful, and overall really fantastic. Kazia, the property manager, really made my experience a great one. She is so helpful and goes out of her way to make everyone feel listened to, cared for, and safe. The apartments are all clean and well taken care of and maintenance is timely and efficient. The management here have always been the best and most helpful. If there's ever a maintenance problem, it's usually fixed within a day or so. The area is beautiful and constantly maintained. As for the rent, it may be a little more than other places up north or so, but the location and services are so worth the little extra. There's a beautiful study room with computers, comfy chairs and free wifi (for the study room). In the room, there's also two printers that we can use (black and white ink only though). During finals, there's always meals provided for breakfast and lunch (best pancakes ever!) and they throw the best halloween parties. The front desk knows people by names and it's always fun to pop in to say hi to them. There's also a candy bowl in the office to snatch a piece from every so often. Best thing: the washer and dryer is right inside each apartment. No more using coins and dragging laundry outdoor! There's lots of bike parking around and car parking around the complex. You'll need stickers for your bike and car, but you're guaranteed a space. It is right next to the amtrak station, so it does take a little time to get use to hearing the train a lot... but it soon just becomes background noise that doesn't bother you. It's only 2 blocks away from downtown, on the same block and in-n-out and has a little market right next door. Dutch Bros and Murder burger is right across the street too!! Lived here for about two years during my undergraduate work at UCD. This place was hands down the best apartment I lived at while at Davis. I lived here in a 3-bedroom, 3-bathroom townhouse with five of my buddies from the dorms and was quite satisfied with the amenities. We had a microwave, decent-sized fridge, oven, dishwasher - but we also had our own washer/dryer unit! The staff at the front were always really friendly and helpful with any problems we had. This complex is also really close to campus (literally just down the street), and it's also pretty close to downtown and some grocery places further down. Plus, the freeway is across the street, so going places outside of Davis was always pretty easy! There are three downsides to living here though: parking can be scarce, rent is really high, and the bedrooms are small (especially when having a roommate). read more

I never actually lived here but I visited a lot since I knew a good amount of people who had an apartment here. It's a decent biking distance from campus and you could probably even walk to campus. There is a bus as well. It's right next to an In-N-Out so if you're feeling like some junk food, you just have to walk about 5 minutes. That apartment interiors are pretty nice. They're not the most spacious but there's enough room to do what you have to do. This place is good for the short distance to campus but it might be pricey. read more

Their management has the best people! They always return calls and help in whatever way possible. I had ankle surgery and was living on the second floor. They would deliver packages for me and even helped me move out at the need of the summer when I was still recovering by carrying boxes down to the cars for me. They made transition into college life away from home so easy and fun. Accommodations are fantastic and they are always right on top of their game. Ready to help with whatever necessary to make it a great year. There is also a bike path straight to campus through the arboretum. Lexington Apartments is an amazing place to live and I highly recommend living here. The staff is incredibly nice and maintenance is always on time. If anything needs to be fixed maintenance will come by within the day, or latest the next day. They have nachos every Friday and they always have food during finals week. They have an amazing clubhouse that always has coffee and tea, as well as a gym, a study room, and a pool! The clubhouse is accessible 24/7 so if you ever need to print anything you can go at anytime. I'm extremely grateful I got to live here and I recommend it to anyone and everyone! read more

The Lexington is the best but it would be nothing without Kazia, the property manager. Kazia has made my time here so comfortable and easy. She will do whatever she can to make her tenants happy and makes everyone feel welcome and needed. She makes this place worth 5 stars. As for the complex, the amenities here are great and all of the staff treats tenants as if they are family. The complex is maintained daily by the sweetest and most helpful maintenance team. You seriously cannot beat the location. I have lived here for almost two years and have extended for another year. I lived at the Lexington in a 3bed/3bath in the 2013-2014 school year and I believe it to be one of the best complexes to live in at Davis. This review is lengthy for those that, like me, need all the details. PROS: Best management! This is REALLY important because you need reliable people to make sure all paperwork, rent and packages are being dealt with properly. I had medication mailed to me which needed to be refrigerated and the people working at the desk always stuck it in the office fridge right away. Also Keri (I think that's her name) the manager is super helpful. The lock on my front door broke once and I was locked out at about 9pm with groceries. She lives at the Lexington and even though she was done working for the day, she let me use the office fridge for my groceries and helped me contact the repairmen who came within the hour. Everyone who works at the Lexington are helpful and have good attitudes. The repairmen always respond to problems within a couple days. The apartments include washer and dryer units, a microwave, full-sized fridge, stove, oven, sink disposal and plenty of cupboard space. There's plenty of dumpsters around so nothings overflowing. If you're part of the UCD housing program there's a nice desk, a twin bed and a small dresser. The closet is a decent size as well. The walls are fine, they didn't seem paper thin or anything. My housemate could be talking on the phone and it was just a light murmur from my room. The water heats up quickly, which is nice when showering in the morning. UCD is about a 10 minute bike ride to the MU and a 10 minute walk to Froggys bar. I can't emphasize enough how convenient it is to be able to walk home from the bar because nobody has to worry about a DD if they live at the Lexington or know someone they can stay with there. There are homeless people who sit out by the In'n'Out down the street, but they're harmless and have never bothered me in the least. Their dog is well behaved, so no worries there. The street itself is rough coming off the highway onto Olive Drive but smooths out just before you reach the Lexington because they repaved it last year. There's a coffee drive-through, a gas station and Redrum burgers and bike path down the street. Safeway is about a mile away and Whole Foods is around the corner. The amtrak is downtown and a 15 minute walk (traffic lights are slow) away. Before I moved here, people told me this was a party complex. If it was, I didn't notice. There were parties, but people were respectful enough to not have loud ones on weekdays, including Thursday night. I can't remember being unable to sleep because of a loud party. As long as windows and doors are shut, the sound stays in pretty well. The hot tub is nice. It's always really clean and there's a camera so hopefully nobody dared have sex in there. The heat is shut off at about 10pm, but the water is warm long after that and sometimes they forget to shut it off anyway. If you're really stressed, I highly recommend the hot tub. Going by yourself is particularly relaxing. The pool is nice too though it's only 5 ft deep. CONS: It's more expensive than many other complexes that offer a bathroom for every room. However, you're paying for the close proximity to downtown and UCD. The bed is shit. Twin beds are awful anyway and these ones squeak loudly. The mattress is highly uncomfortable and I recommend a VERY good mattress pad. I was having trouble sleeping and had back pain until I caved and bough a 2 inch memory foam mattress pad. The recycling bins are too small. Most people who live at the Lexington are students and we buy everything online. The recycling bin was always overflowing with boxes and packaging materials. I think if they had a dumpster for that purpose it would promote recycling more because sometimes I just threw my boxes in the trash because I didn't want sanitary workers to have to pick my boxes up off the ground. The echo in parts of the complex is weird. If someone is having a normal conversation outside, you can hear it clearly from 5 apartments down. Sometimes drunk girls clacking home in their heels woke me up. Amtrak was annoying, but I mostly got used to the sound. These are all minor issues as it's either temporary noise or you can ask loud people to please shut up. The carpets were gross when we moved in. There were a few stains and the carpet was clearly old. Also the bathtubs are plastic which makes it harder to clean properly. I was assigned to live at the Lexington in 2013 by the UCD transfer housing program, so my review might be less helpful for those leasing outside the program. I did not have to pay a deposit and so I wasn't charged for not cleaning under the washer. The Lexington is a great complex, everything is relatively new. The staff is amazing! (No exaggeration, they are AWESOME) They have parties, make breakfast during finals, hold fun events, it's a very cool environment. 24 hour gym and study lounge, with free printing. Location is awesome, close to school, close to in n out, dutch brothers, downtown davis, etc. There is one thing I don't like about the lex, which isn't really even there fault but I've had a few issues with bike theft, but the girls in the office were awesome enough to help me out, but there are always alot of homeless people hanging out around here. Which again is not their fault, but if you can look past that, it's a great place to live. I would just recommend them to get a gate or add some security cameras some kind of deterrent to keep thieves away. It would be perfect if it was gated. read more

I lived here two years during undergrad and had an okay experience. If you're the party type, this is the place. There's lots of parties going on in this complex, especially at the pool during summertime. The gym is small, equipped with cardio machines, not weights or anything back then. Each room comes with its own bathroom, which is a plus. The rent is pretty high though considering how small the apartments really are. It was nice to have a washer/dryer inside the apartment, good insulatation, and pretty new appliances since this was a relatively new complex back then. It's a close bike ride to campus and the olive market is located in the complex, which makes it very convenient. The downside is parking. I've had friends get their car towed a few times. There's not much parking spaces. I would drive home from the gym and by the time I was back, I would spend half an hour looking for parking. Also it's very pricey, but if you're down to share a room, it works out perfectly. read more

Kazia and her staff go above and beyond for the people that live at the Lexington apartments. They are extremely professional and are willing to help resolve any issues you might have. The maintenance staff is always on top of work orders and completes them in a timely manner. I really appreciate how kind the staff at the Lexington is and that they make an effort to get to know their residents. The cost is a little much but surely worth the amazing staff and all the amenities such as the clubhouse which has a pool, study area, small workout gym, and kitchen. My girlfriend has lived here for three years. The management is what makes this place amazing. They are honestly some of the nicest people you will ever meet and are willing to go out of their way to help you out. Kazia, the property manager, is very accommodating and extremely personable. She is a genuinely kind and caring person and it's been a pleasure to know her. Also, her dog Nora is adorable and super smart. I love coming into the clubhouse and being greeted by Nora. Also, shout out to my boy Gerald at the front desk. He's always there to help with a big smile. Friendliest guy I know. Amenities: The gym was recently renovated and provides a comfortable work out space. It's a bit small, but there's an awesome chalk wall where you can write down motivational quotes or keep track of your reps. My girlfriend was commissioned to do a mural on the top of the wall. Across the gym is a studio with yoga mats, medicine balls, and big mirrors if you want to get some stretches in. There's also a TV in both the gym and studio. Right outside the clubhouse is a pool and hot tub, which we spent many hours enjoying during the hot days of summer. Inside the clubhouse is a pool table, board games, coffee and water, and a large study room with lots of tables and computers and a printer (bring your own paper). There's also a large calendar that is decorated monthly by a volunteer resident. The Lex offers nachos on Fridays and food on finals week to help out stressed students. When covid started, they switched to snack goodie bags. The apartment: Each bedroom has its own bathroom and the washer/dryer are in unit. My girlfriend stayed in the 4bd townhouse which was on the second and third floor, which is nice if you don't mind lots of stairs. There is also a balcony. The apartment is all carpet with the exception of the kitchen and bathrooms. The kitchen is pretty standard with a microwave, stove/oven, dishwasher and refrigerator. Since we used a Brita pitcher often, we asked management if we could get the sink faucet replaced with one with a higher neck and management happily accommodated us. Our unit had ceiling fans added in the last year, which is great when it gets hot. Cons: The train horn blares at 3AM which can get pretty obnoxious but you learn to drown it out. The same for the traffic sounds since we are right next to the highway (which can also be seen as a pro). Parking always requires a permit (one per bedroom and a temporary one for guests that expires at 11pm that day). If you stay past 11pm with a temp pass they boot you. read more

Amazing apartment complex with great amenities, great community, and most importantly a dedicated staff. From the manager to the receptionists, they are all committed to making your stay as smooth as possible and who actually take the time to know each tenant. If I had roommate issues, they were solved. If I needed to find a subleaser, the staff listed my room for others to contact me. Any time I had a service request, it was completed within a day or two, depending on severity. They even give you free food during exam season and set up community events with prizes. The staff here is dedicated to making your experience as comfortable and fun as possible. I'd give this place no stars if I could. I lived here for two years. The first year was through student housing and I decided to stay because my decided roommate wanted to. I would have chose elsewhere. I sooooooo regret living at the lexington. The location, although close - is not even worth the headaches. Not only was this place overpriced - like ridiculously. They basically screw you over when you move out. If you don't detail your apartment, you'll lose 500+ from your security deposit. All the maintenance and managers said our apartment was one of the cleanest, but they still managed to squeeze money out where ever they could - like a dusty window seal, not cleaning UNDER the washing machine, or the most ridiculous cleaning the inside of the ceiling lights. Also, for such a high priced complex - I would expect the overall location to be better. I understand it being super close to campus, but the street which is on is mostly low income housing; therefore, you end up biking home on a street with homeless people. This wouldn't normally bother me. but then people not apart of the complex would sit and sleep under the overhands where we park our cars. This doesn't really feel safe to me. Especially when you are paying the high price the lexington asks for. Go somewhere else, bike the extra 3 minutes - you'll save money and probably be happier. read more

People act like this is the best apartment complex but really, for the insane prices, this place is NOT worth it. I pay $900 to have my own room and bathroom, but: Right outside of my bathroom window, there's bird shit all over the roof tiles. So nasty. The linoleum in the bathroom is coming off, but they haven't fixed it. The apartment is RIGHT in between the loud freeway I-80 and the train tracks. The heater/AC does a good job making the upstairs hot or cold, but its always freezing downstairs because there's no temperature sensor. Every single day, people from the mobile home park walk through and let their dogs shit and piss on the plants in the parking lot. There are people selling drugs and begging right down the street. There isn't adequate lighting on Olive Drive so I don't feel safe walking home from downtown at night. Overall, this place is a scam. I would not recommend anyone live here, unless you have no other choice. Lexington should really consider reducing their rent prices to something more reasonable for this area... I lived here for a year. Honestly, I thought I would be getting so much more for my money. It's expensive, and only average. The first thing that struck me was how tight the living spaces were. Bedrooms were especially cramped and the bathroom seemed like it was wedged in the wall. It is absolutely horrible for studying: truck sounds from the highway and loud neighbors. I could hear the noise through my earplugs! Its nice that there's a bus line. But I feel that most apartments have at least one bus line so its not too special. I don't care much for management, they are short and pushy at times. I expected them to understand students better. I would say the only special thing about the lex is the newer look. Its well maintained. Altogether, I feel the lex is just an overpriced average apartment. My advice, look for other places before looking at the lex. read more

Nice apartments, its cool that they have a grill and a basketball hoop setup in addition to the pool and the pool house room with the computers and whatnot ; that being said, this place echos. When I say echos i do not mean just a little bit, you can literally hear almost anyone's conversation from your balcony. The water sucks, but that's just a side effects of being in Davis, but the AC makes up for it. Overall not a bad place to live just don't slap too loud after 10 pm. read more

I've only lived here for about two weeks so this might be a bit too early to review. I love this complex and everything about it. I live in a 4x4 townhouse through SHA. Before moving in here I was worried because I heard the space is pretty crammed but it's not at all! It's spacious, and I love the privacy we all have here. Our garbage disposal broke a couple days ago and we put in a request to get it fixed and the next day it was taken care of! Also all our Amazon packages go straight to the front desk which I honestly PREFER with all this theft going on. The clubhouse is pretty cool, there's a brand new study room, pool tables, gym (wish it was bigger), pool and hot tub. We are also right by in n out, Dutch bros, downtown, and so close to campus! This place is awesome. The apartment was brand spankin' clean when we moved in (compared to other places). The environment is really nice (buildings, walkways, grenery). The management people were really cool and accomadating as well. Close to campus and walking distance to downtown. Great for college students because you can get drunk in bars downtown and then just walk home. The biking trail is just right across the street too! Only downside is limited parking. But we got past that by just buying someone else's permit. The area outside is kind of sketchy since its kind of run down. But it wasn't really a problem for me. While the location is close to both campus and downtown Davis and the apartments are spacious and well kept, my favorite part of living at the Lexington had to be the staff. From day one they were nothing but helpful, friendly, and supportive of all residents. The manager Kazia can be strict when needed but has a heart of gold and makes every resident feel welcome. The other office staff are helpful, cheery, and are truly interested in you and your life and anything they can do to make it easier. I have lived here for a year and used to think that this apartment complex was pretty nice. I'm not much of a picky person. I liked that they had washer and dryers, had free printing and a pretty decent pool/hot tub (but not much of a gym). And some of the staff are really great! But others not so much. After dealing with a horrendous staff member (Kazia) I started seeing all the faults that this complex has. She even said that she "wasn't even sorry". Over three months ago I put in a request to get a light fixed, after about a month, no one came to fix it so my housemate put in another request. We waited a few weeks but no one came. I put in yet ANOTHER request and it's been about a month and our light is still out. I move out in 2 weeks so I'm assuming it's not going to get fixed at this point. Also, our door and door frame don't fit, so this leaves a crack in the door. I asked for them to fix it, but they said there isn't anything they can do. So me and my roommate have had to deal with so many bugs. LOTS of spiders, and there was even crickets that got in through the crack! They were power washing the sides of the apartments and when they power washed my door it left water all over the floor and on my carpet! So much for "it'll be okay". I am DEFINITELY not staying another year. And if you're planning on living here, good luck. Hopefully you don't have as much trouble as I did. read more
