He gave us tastes of several flavors, and I was surprised at how delicious the natural flavor was - I usually skip that one at yogurt places. Some of the food is pretty good. Bread seems to be freshly backed and the seafood chowder is to die for, if you like seafood. The pre-packed foods are similar to the other tourist places in the area. The seafood chowder has a great punch of flavor and seafood. The chowder is packed with scallops, shrimp, crab, and lobster. I was amazed at how much seafood was in the bowl (see my pictures). I saw the sign advertising Hires Root Beer and couldn't resist pulling in to see if they actually had any. They don't. (Hires Root Beer is only sold in limited areas in the US, and is in competition with A&W Root Beer which comes from the same bottling plant...sad really) However, I went with a root beer float anyway (Dad's root beer, if I recall) and sat out on one of the park benches overlooking the water, enjoying the view.
