I stopped here to look for some new lighting for my entry way. I liked some of the fixtures here. Some were not in stock. And some were very si.ilar to others. A lot of the lighting was real glitzy. I found the lighting fixtures I liked to be overly priced. Many of them seemed like they would put stress on a ceiling. It was very warm in here so I did not stay too long. I would say to come by and see what they have. I did like some of the lighting but would have preferred if they had more variety. read more

My husband and I went into the store today 11/21/2021 and there were 2 employees in there and one other customer. We were greeted by one while the other was helping the customer. We walked around for about 15 minutes and no one asked if we needed help. So we headed to the door and the guy helping the customer FINALLY asked if we needed help. I said, "yes, that's why we came here." He asked us to give him a minute. So we went back and looked at the chandeliers that I was interested in. All of the sudden they started talking about confederate flags and soldiers and why their statues & flags should not be removed. So we headed out again. I have been buying lights from lighting outlet for years. I always found them to be incredibly knowledgeable and helpful and the light was always perfect for the space. In the middle of this pandemic and spending so much time outside I really wanted to change my fans. They accommodated me and came to my house and actually picked the perfect fan. He assured me that the fans I had were old even though they worked but that the new fans were significantly better in circulating air. I liked a ceiling pendant and after much negotiation we agreed on a price. They have the list price as $797 and the discount price at $597. While online in any retailer including Amazon it is listed for only $428! They also do not give any refunds only store credit. One light fixture was out of stock and they needed to order it. I then needed to come back in 2 weeks and drive an hour to come pick it up. The 2 Spanish gentlemen up front are very nice and helpful hit the manager and owner, 2 older gentlemen are extremely rude. I would recommend you come here only to see the light fixtures in person but order them online. It's unfortunate but with small businesses running like this one with poor customer service and cheating consumers of their money, it's no wonder online retailers like Amazon are taking over. Stick to Home Depot, Lowes, Amazon, or Wayfair. I ordered two lamps and spent over $500 back in October. I was told the lamps had to be ordered and I would be getting them in a week. When I was in the hospital after giving birth, I called them to check on the status as it had been over a week. The rude woman who answers the phone and is the owner's wife told me she couldn't locate me unless I had the invoice number. We called a second time and they told us someone will call us back when they locate our account by our name. They never called back so 3 weeks later we called again asking them to cancel the order. On that same day they so conveniently let me know that my order was ready. They never thought to call me to let me know. I asked them to do the right thing and give me a refund since I had moved into a new house after the hospital and needed lighting. They refused to do so and told me all they would be able to do is charge me a 25% restocking fee. Thank goodness my credit card company provided me with a full refund after I opened a claim. These people are sleazy. They argued with me telling me the sales rep would never have said 7 days, as If I needed a reason to lie after already waiting 3 weeks. Save the headache and go somewhere else. It's funny that there are many similar reviews. read more

After going to two larger home-improvement stores and being thoroughly disappointed in the inventory and the level of customer service I decided to stop by the lighting outlet which was pretty close to my house. I was immediately helped by Mike and he brought me to exactly where I wanted to be and showed me exactly what I needed. We even looked through a catalog just to see my options but I ended up coming to the same conclusion and I received A great deal and installation was only $65. Just getting my electrician to come to my house costs me a base of $80. I am a medical professional and I really need things done in a speedy manner at the highest level of professionalism. I found all of these things and more with the lighting outlet. Both Mike and Fabian really put their heart and soul into their work and they're just great people to talk to. Wow! This was unusual. We needed a modern ceiling light to be attached to our 15 foot vaulted ceilings. Lowes, Home Depot, Amazon no luck, so we visited Lighting Outlet. It did take awhile to get customer service, but once we did, the light we liked was sold to us, and delivery and installation promised for later in the week for $80.00 more. We paid for the light, and talked in detail about the height of the ceiling, the 9.5 feet of cable and rod needed to reach the top of the lamp from the ceiling, and the fact that the ceiling was vaulted. All would be right, we were assured. The delivery person called to promise delivery Tuesday at 7:00. He arrived in a regular car-- no van, no markings for the company. Walked in with the light, looked at our ceilings, and proceeded to tell us that we had not instructed the company correctly about what was needed. He did not have "enough rods," to reach the ceiling, and would have to come back another time. My wife walked him through the diagrams and notes she had written for the store, but he continued to insist that we did not "understand" what was needed to put the light in. I told him we were uncomfortable taking delivery of an incomplete product. He assured me that it was, in fact, complete. I said that I must have misunderstood, then, and if everything was there and he could install, then all good. Then he said, "But I have no ladder..." I was incredulous. "You go to a house to install a ceiling light with no ladder?" He said, "What I need a ladder for? You not have instructions properly at store!" At this point I told him I would not accept delivery of the light unless it had all the rods needed, because if I accepted it and he failed to come back with the rods I could be stuck. He began to walk out, saying angrily, "Your light! Your light! You pay, you keep!" I picked the light up, following him outside, but he began to physically RUN to his car, open the door, and rush in, locking the doors. He squealed the tires as he left me standing there with a light, but no rods, and no installation. Not recommended. read more

For anyone who lives west of 441 this is a store to visit. The regular box store(s) inventory does not even come close in comparison to what this store offers. I want to start by saying that I shopped at the big hardware stores and I browsed the internet and over a year after deciding to replace the kitchen ceiling light -- we still hadn't found one we liked. We went to The Lighting Outlet to browse. There are lights EVERYWHERE. We admired lights we don't need awhile, but were greeted by the owner, Arthur. We explained what we were looking for and he showed us a few options, finally coming up with one in his catalog (wasn't in stock) that is a great fit for my kitchen. We were in and out in less than 30 minutes. The light was ordered and arrived in about a week. We're installing it ourselves. Upon installation, the installer had no ladder, no specs on my home that I left, and was missing half the parts. This was November, no resolution or attempt. My husband and I were there in March. We were impressed with the large selection and up to date lighting fixtures and chandeliers. The owner, Arther, initially helped us out which was nice because he is very knowledgeable about the merchandise which helped make the decision to buy a more confident one opposed to online shopping. However, afterward, when we saw online and at a local store that the exact same hanging light as well as outdoor lighting we purchased was significantly less money and my husband addressed this to him, he didn't seem to want to help us out. After, a lot of persuading, which my husband had to do, he did end up giving us some money off the bill. Most our items had needed to be ordered so, although, paid for, we hadn't ever left the store with anything we purchased which may have helped my husband get a little back on the price. Please keep in mind this place has a no return policy. We loved everything we purchased, but the attitude of the owner left us with a bad feeling about ever doing business with this place again. read more
