No doctor or nurse practitioner bothered to evaluate the patient when she was complaining of extreme pain before making medication decisions, and ignored recommendations from hospice nurse. Arrogant LPN who asked patient to state her pain level from 1-10, and when patient replied 9, the LPN said "you don't look like you're a 9." Definitely a "we know best" philosophy that does not prioritze the patient. When patient was being cleaned by nurses, family was subjected to listening to patient screaming "I hope you are killing me because I can't take any more of this." Horrific experience. We moved her to the nursing facility at the Kenwood Senior Star where she had wonderful, patient centric and empathetic care. What a mistake to subject our mother to MPL.

By not including any less than complimentary comments a clear picture is not being presented. My mother (and my father until his passing) lived in the Seasons community for 11 years - 9 years at Seasons and 2 years at Courtyard. The years in independent living was tolerable - Courtyard, not so much. The lack of staffing, particularly at night, was very concerning. When you have one nurse on duty and a scattering of aides handling 3 floors of elderly residents, this is makes for a less than ideal assisted living arrangement. Care conferences were never held, repairs requested for her apartment (broken tile in bathroom - possible trip hazard), thorough apartment cleaning as stipulated in lease agreement each took over a year to achieve. Other than an ideal location there is nothing ideal about Courtyard. My mother at age 96 passed away recently and no one in the management of Senior Lifestyle had the humanity to even utter condolences to our family. Concerns regarding the facility were also voiced to the President of Senior Lifestyle in their Chicago headquarters and has also been completely ignored. Would NOT recommend this facility to any family looking for an assisted living facility.

My family was very pleased with my dear mother's stay at Seasons for short term rehab.  From the…read moremoment she arrived until she was discharged, she was treated with the highest level of professionalism and compassionate care.  The facility is very nice, very clean, safe, and we felt very safe with the covid protocol that was in place.  Her room was lovely and everyone was very accommodating and responsive.  All of the staff/administration were very helpful, approachable, knowledgeable, kind, considerate, and went above the call of duty to make my mother's stay a great experience.  We appreciated the friendly and hard working housekeeping staff, food staff, and all of the workers whom we encountered from day to day!  The food was good/prepared well and extra care was taken to ensure I was served meals with regard to my nutrition restrictions.  Heartfelt and special thanks to the Therapy Dept., Nursing Staff/Medical Team and the Social Worker!  They worked tirelessly to provide the highest level of care that we have received anywhere and it was absolutely the primary reason for such a great and successful outcome.  We would highly recommend Seasons to any family looking for great, quality care!

My dad did a 3 month respite stay in assisted living…read more I once asked a resident what they thought of the food, and this wealthy looking Indian hill looking woman stuck her finger in her open mouth to imply gagging - saying it was so gross. We moved my 87 year old father into the Newtown facility a few weeks ago. Everyone that works there…read morewas helpful and understanding. I have not seen my father this relaxed in a year. The small setting makes him comfortable to walk out of his room and sit in the living room or patio and read the paper for an hour. In the past year he didn't want to leave his room for fear of getting lost. A few days ago I walked in to see my dad chatting away with Sam, a young aid, about Xavier University. Everyone working there is calm, loving and very understanding to the residents.

I helped to transfer a resident of our facility to the VA Home. The staff was very nice and very…read moresweet to the gentleman I transferred. The building is very clean but looks very clinical. Grey linoleum floors, the double rooms are equipped with twin beds, TV and a curtain divider for privacy. Residents in the memory care have to wear a security/ alarm bracelet either on the wrist or ankle even tho the memory care unit is secured and locked. I noticed some activities going on close to the lobby in the dining room. Residents where playing chair volleyball and seemed to have fun. There is also a small gift shop with Military trinkets ran by volunteers.

do not work here or send your loved ones here. i am a worker here and the workers are snobby and…read morerude, and they are outrageously rude to the residents here. the workers put on a show for people who come visit their loved ones, all the nice, and happy, and smiles you see is all fake! today October 23, 2025 a nurse here was telling other nurses that a resident here was not liking the idea of him have a catheter, so he got upset and was saying he didn't want it on himself, and he was moving around, and the nurse told the other nurses she snatched him by his feet and yanked him to the edge of the bed and yelled at him in his face "you're going to keep this f**king catheter on rather you like it or not" she was demonstrating how she was pulling him as if she was proud of herself. this is a elderly who has pain and is fragile!!!! anything that you accidentally missed of your loved ones belongings after they've passed away, the nurses either throw the items away or give them to other residents or take them home for themselves.... to me that is just very disrespectful. about 2 weeks or so ago, i over heard a resident telling a nurse that another nurse slapped her in the face :( this place is just awful, and it's too expensive.

The staff makes us all laugh. They work hard to cheer us up. They interviewed me to find out what I like and others there then arranged activities to enhance our stay. The Chef cooked special orders cheerfully. I found the food fresh & delicious. Loved getting breakfast in bed when I slept in. I was bed ridden until physical & occupational therapists worked with me to get me walking again and reducing my oxygen from 4 down to one. I feel it is possible to be back in the league playing tennis & golf again next summer. Thank you everyone peers & staff at The Anderson ". For the gentleman who went to Heaven instead of home. His family was well liked too. The funeral director took care of everything. We mourned and did an activity he would have enjoyed by watching "The Haunted House" with Eddy Murphy.
