We've taken gymnastics classes and hosted a birthday party at The Little Gym, and we've been very happy with our experiences here. The gymnastics classes are organized, fun, and engaging. I especially appreciate that the instructors provide hands-on guidance to help kids through each activity instead of just letting them wander and explore on their own. For toddlers and preschoolers, I personally preferred The Little Gym over some nearby gymnastics programs that seem geared more toward older kids. It's also reassuring that some instructors appear to have been there for years, which feels like a good sign. The birthday parties were easy and low-stress. We dropped off food and decorations ahead of time, and the staff handled setup, led the kids through activities, and served food very efficiently. Pricing also felt reasonable compared to some other party venues. Having Mountain Mike's Pizza right next door was an added bonus for party food and convenience. The main downside is that weekend preschool morning classes can be difficult to get into because they fill up quickly. Otherwise, we've really loved our experiences at The Little Gym! read more

Good: - Love the activities - well structured - good adult guidance (for the older toddlers) - variety of things to do - engaging - parents can rest (though one side of seating is preferred because the glass doesn't have a glare there) - I signed up my son after the intro class but on his 2nd day he hated it. I had a newborn at the time so did not want to push him since I could be at home instead of having him sit in my lap and watch the rest of the class. I ended up cancelling the membership and getting a refund for most of my money but was still charged for the 2nd day even though he didn't participate at all which ... I guess they need to hold that position or something but I thought it was tasteless on top of the high intro class fee. Bad: - price. The fee just to try out a class is steep and when you get a membership you pay an initial fee? I can't quite recall but I was surprised by how expensive it was and felt like they could have been more accommodating. - smell. Takes a bit to adjust. My first visit here was for a party and I was in my third trimester. I almost threw up and couldn't stand the feet smell. Post pregnancy, I got used to the smell but.. yea. Pretty strong. Overall, if my son would have liked it I would have paid for it because it is fun and active, but it wasn't worth having to wait for him to adjust and I thought they could have been more understanding. read more

My first visit was at the location in Elk Grove and my little one had a great time running around so I wanted to try out this location. My toddler hasn't had much interaction with kids of his age so this was really fun for him and seeing how engaging he is was also super fun for me. Monkey see monkey do! He was learning so quickly when it came to participating and moving on to the next activity. Came here on a Saturday morning for class as a trial and it was packed! The parking lot was completely full and I think this was the first time I had to circle around for parking in Millbrae! The class was super fun for my 2 year old, but was intimidating with just how many people are packed into one time slot. The teacher was warm and welcoming and had plenty of activities for the kids to partake in. The only reason it is a 3 star for me is that it is very pricey for what it is and doesnt have much availability. That Saturday class had parachute, bubbles, and basketball activities, but it was so busy that it was hard for my kid to run around and play without almost knocking into the others. I didnt end up signing up for a weekly class, but maybe when he's older and can participate in the older kid classes it'll be more worth it. read more

Has a private parking lot. Offers a lot of classes and is sibling, and age inclusive. Came to a party here last weekend. They have two separate party rooms that you can decorate with plenty of space for kids and parents and food. If you're interested in something gymnastics-like without the pressure to be perfect and have excellent form, this place is worth a shot. They have a lot of physical, interactive fun to offer. It starts with the shaker introduction song, a fun cleanup moment, name introductions with the teacher, warm-up activities, gym exploration, skill-of-the-day exercises, more exploration, a second skill focus, followed by balls and bubbles, and finally the goodbye song and stamps. It's the perfect balance of structure and freedom to explore. We especially loved the themed events like the Easter class, where the kids decorated their own Easter bags and went on an egg hunt. What a thoughtful and delightful surprise. The facility itself is top-notch, equipped with amazing professional-grade equipment perfect for training the next generation of champions. It's clear that every detail is thoughtfully designed to help kids grow, explore, and shine. We recently hosted our 3 year old's birthday party at The Little Gum and it was the lowest stress birthday party we've ever thrown for our kids. They let you drop off decorations and food 1 day before the party, and they do all of the set up and clean up for you as well. We had a low stress morning and only had to worry about getting ourselves to the venue on time. It's a great value, give with the instructor-led activities and the set up and clean up that they do for you. We would love to come back! read more

My 3 year old loves this place so much!! I enrolled her back in February in the 3 to 4 year old (Giggle Worms) class where there was no parent participation involved. Since my daughter at the time never been here before or ever been to daycare or preschool, she was having a tough first day. She didn't want to sit with the other kids in a circle and was trying to stay away and was scared. The teachers tried hard to include her, but Miss Chelsea recommended to place her down a level in the Super Beasts class where parent participation is involved which I was fine with. Now it's May and she has been going every week and super excited about going! Before she used to stay back, but now she always wants to be the first to try everything in front of everyone! We finally put her back into the prek class and at first she was scared, but perfectly fine and had lots of fun!! I'm so happy to see this improvement. I've been looking for an activity for my two-year-old and loved our experience here at The Little Gym. We were part of the Beasts/Super Beasts class with Teacher Chelsea, and I thought it was well organized with fun but also educational learning activities for the toddlers. After some organized circle time, the kids were able to then run around and play with their choice of different gymnastics equipment. There is very much the understanding from the staff that kids this age can be unpredictable and lack focus and the emphasis is that you take your cues from the child - if they want to run around and not participate with the rest of the group, that is totally fine, as long as they are being safe. I think this is a great place to come to, especially for those tots that might have extra energy and need a fun, safe way to burn it off. read more

Set plans for games, use of parachute and bounce pad, with short times for free play in between tasks. Good control of a fairly large, mixed age group of kids. Clean small party room with toddler size setups. Kids don't have to sit on chairs or benches that are too big. Well kept interior that looked clean and fairly new. Cons: Parking lot is tight and shared with mountain Mike's next door (which, incidentally provides the pizza for these parties). Great place for a 5 year old birthday party! We reserved about 2 months in advance and could have done it earlier if we wanted more time options. They have three times lots and we did the 2pm slot which worked out great for us. It's a 2 hour block which comes with 2 staff leading all of the activities and fun. They're super helpful with all ages and super nice. For the lunch you can bring in any meals and drinks (even adult drinks if you want). We brought in our decorations the days before and the host set up all the decorations for us. It looked beautiful. White paper plates, napkins, forks, and even table cloths were provided if needed. The staff helped with passing out the pizza, cutting the cake, and even pack up all the presents. The staff also printed a group photo that they set up and placed in a magnet. Overall my daughter was very happy with her party and we now have a magnet photo to remind us of the memories. I would totally recommend. read more

All I have to say is WOW! This place is a true gem for children and parents! I had never been here before, but I was frantically searching for a venue for my daughters third birthday. I came across a little gym on Yelp which led me to their webpage. Their online birthday party information was clear, concise and straightforward, and I easily made my reservation. I was promptly contacted by the little gym via email with details about the event, and what to expect. The staff are truly something special! They went above and beyond to make sure my day went as smoothly as possible. They helped me prepare by allowing early drop off for my items, access to the party room refrigerator, unloading my car, setting up and cleaning up. All of the staff and instructors were incredibly sweet and patient! I feel like it's really hard to come across such a good customer service these days, so I was really just so impressed! There is a Mountain Mike's next door, which is super convenient for birthday party catering. The staff will help you prepare your food and cake as well as with serving. The play part of the birthday was so fun for both parents and children. There were two instructors that were leading the children with different activities and games. My kids had a blast and it was really just such a smooth, great time! hosted my daughter's 3rd birthday party and it was a great experience. i was looking to potentially reschedule because she came down with a cold a few days before, and they were really flexible and understanding, open to changing the date (without me losing the deposit). the staff and teachers there were really great with the kids and there was a mix of organized activities and free play during the 70 min play time slot. it was just so easy for me because they set everything up and took everything down too. all i had to do was drop off the decorations the day before and bring the food, drinks and cake. highly recommend this for a kids birthday. read more

We just had a birthday party tonight and it was so so so fun! Planning a birthday party during a pandemic is not easy, I dreaded it which is why I waited until the last minute to ping around to see if there's any place available for a bday party since my family have all gotten our vaccines. Lisa really made organizing this last minute birthday party super easy, and our instructor Raquel made our whole party feel so special, especially the 2 year old birthday girl. Amazing aspects of this: - Really easy & fair pricing for the party - Planning and arranging was quick and easy - I contacted Lisa via the phone and could text also to share details. - We got the whole place to ourselves! - They really made sure we feel safe, we had masks on while in the gym, and everyone gets temperature checked and washes hands before starting and finishing the gym. (Only small groups allowed right now of 12 or less - call Lisa to learn more) - Gym and facility was very clean - Lisa helped us decorate the wall as a backdrop with the signs and balloons I brought, and she did a much better job than I would. (And I was so touched that she said I (the mom) can go in and have fun too while she helped me decorate - because as moms, we're always the ones behind the scene and making sure everything's ready in a bday party, and for once I can enjoy too - and did my next important task - go in and take lots of photos and videos!) A++++++ - Provided tablecloths and utensils and plates for us - Amazing instructor that made us feel very welcomed and also kids loved her and listened to her - Gave us space to have dinner and also do the cake - Helped us clean up afterwards I would definitely host another party here again, and will try to join in on the weekly classes (unfortunately, the weekend ones are full already). I saw several kids trying to play on the same gymnastics equipment, unsupervised. I did not feel comfortable with my child in the class. I have had 3 birthdays here including one of my daughter's 1st birthday. It was something she remembered and would get extremely excited about when ever she saw the pictures. The staff takes care of everything for you and Lisa made sure the parents had a stress-free party. Yes, it is somewhat pricey but well worth the price because I have never met an owner go above and beyond. We dropped off decorations and arrived to see the room most beautifully set up - it looked completely professional!! My daughter has been going to The Little Gym since she was 9 mos old. I always loved their programs. The teachers are awesome and very engaging and they really great with kids! Due to the pandemic and out crazy wfh schedule, we needed a flexible program for her daughter that would keep her engaged, learning and having fun! They offer a wonderkids program and that has been great! The teachers are wonderful and they come up with the best ideas to keep them engaged and learning. Today we celebrated our daughter's 5th birthday at The Little Gym and I can't say enough about our experience! The staff was absolutely amazing. They helped set up, breakdown, clean up everything. They played with the kids in the gymnasium space which allowed the adults to catch up. It was one of the most stress free birthday parties I have thrown thus far. I highly recommend The Little Gym! I have mixed feelings about this place. They have 2 to 3 really good teachers. If you have them, you are golden. If you don't, good luck. The good teachers remember the children's names and would keep them feel special. But if they don't teach you, hmmmm.... Overall, it is a good alternative to Gymboree classes for toddlers. My son went to WonderKids preschool and it was amazing. His body developed and his muscles became firm. He was fully engaged with the teachers and had lots of physical development. There was a mix of free play and structured skill development for floor and bar work, and the teachers let him go at his own pace. His gross motor skills went from borderline clinical (10th percentile) to 40th percentile after six months. His fine motor skills improved but not quite as much. The teachers were all very caring and seemed to genuinely love him. They cried at graduation! He loved it so much there and I'm grateful they have this program. I highly recommend it to any parent whose child is very active or who is looking to improve the child's physical well-being in a safe, warm environment. read more

The gym is decent enough for a little while. Unfortunately activities are quite repetitive and after a point get boring for kids, especially kids over 4. There are a couple of teachers who don't really seem very invested in the kids. Some of the classes get over crowded and kids start wandering off. If your kid is good with running around and having fun un-supervised, this gym is probably fine. The teachers focus on 1 kid at a time and with 15+ kids in a class and 2 teachers, the kids are basically going to be on their own for quite a long time. read more

We bring our 2.5 yr old and while he isn't the best at following all the directions, the space and teachers make it a really fun experience for the kids. The balance beam and bars make it really fun. He always burns plenty of energy and that makes the day go a lot easier. The fact that there's other kids around makes him try and do more. It would be nice if all the bathrooms were kids friendly. I have taken my son here for 2 semesters now and have become more and more pleased with his progress.
