The inside is beautiful and made for a really nice dining experience. We started with the Eichten's cheese curds, and they were excellent. They were soft on the inside, some had a great cheese pull, and the spicy dipping sauce paired really well with them. I ordered the Flat Iron Frites. The steak was seasoned well, cooked nicely, and didn't have much fat, which I appreciated. The fries were crispy and came with house-made ketchup. I usually don't even like ketchup, but this one was actually really good. My partner ordered the deviled eggs as his appetizer, and he enjoyed them so much he finished them in no time. For dessert, we had the Strawberry Shortcake Crème Brûlée, and it was fantastic. I've never had crème brûlée like that before. It was a unique twist on a classic dessert and ended the meal perfectly. The only small downside was that the complimentary water tasted clean and fresh. But it was warm instead of cold. Overall, the food, atmosphere, and service made for a great experience, and I'd happily return. Glad i was able to cross this one off of my list.

During my stay, I enjoyed breakfast, the bison empanadas, ice cream, margaritas, and espresso martinis, everything was delicious and well prepared. Many hotel bars are known more for their drinks than their food, but this one exceeded my expectations in every way. The quality of both the food and beverages was outstanding, and the service was great as well. I would highly recommend stopping by whether you're staying at the hotel or just looking for a great place to eat and enjoy a cocktail. Can't forget the ambience! It was great.

I had a pleasant stay, except for parking. For the handful of times that I attended Minnesota Wild games and got back to the hotel after at least 8 pm, there were no available parking spots. It was a perfect storm. Literally. Factor in March break, various tournaments around the Twin Cities (basketball and hockey), and a blizzard, no wonder there weren't any spots available at the Fairfield. I also think it's the local mentality of being in Minnesota. Eat dinner at 5 pm. Head back to the hotel to chill. The blizzard made pretty much everyone stay inside. It was to start on Saturday evening. I had just come back from a Wild game that night and returned to the hotel just past 8 pm. There were no parking spots available. I parked here twice, both after Wild games. The first time was last Thursday. There weren't any spots at Fairfield after 11 pm, so it made sense to park next door. It was a warm night. It was easy finding an available spot. The way you pay for parking is to scan a QR code found on signs in the lot. You then pay online once you specify when your checkout date is. I was pleased that you didn't have to be staying at the Courtyard to park there. There was a field to enter your room number when you are filling out the payment form. I left it blank and it was fine. You have the option to change your checkout date hours before your original date and time expire. The second time that I parked here was on Saturday. I came back from a Wild game after 8 pm. We had a blizzard warning. The snow had started. It was windy and wet. I had rented an SUV. I tried my hand and driving it up an open patch at Fairfield that would have been grass. It worked. However, I thought about trying to dig out this vehicle and decided to park at this Courtyard instead. I realized later that I had parked in a walkway. I don't think anyone cared as long as the plows could clear the snow to get in and out of the parking lot a day later. I had originally specified my checkout time to be on Monday. However, weather and road conditions were so bad on Monday morning that I decided to extend my parking to Tuesday. I'm glad that I did because it took me quite some time to dig my car out on Monday afternoon with a snowbrush! I am grateful for having the snowbrush as my makeshift shovel and choosing an SUV that made getting out of a foot of snow easier. Parking is $10 a night. The checkout time is noon. I was okay paying for it, knowing that my rental vehicle would be safe and actually having a spot. I will say that the walk from the back of Courtyard's lot that Saturday to Fairfield was brutal. Wet snow. Wind gusts at nearly 30 km/h. I had two paper bags full of groceries that ripped. I was fortunate to have brought my insulated bag and a plastic bag that held up. By the time I got to the hotel, I was wet and white with snow on me. It was nice to get out of my damp clothes! I was pleased that I could find parking next door at this hotel. I'm not sure if I'd stay at the Fairfield again when it's still winter. I wouldn't mind staying at this Courtyard someday. The parking is decent and my vehicle was safe for half my stay in the Twin Cities. (121)

It benefits from the mall offerings for food and entertainment if your meeting crosses the lunch hour. From a mall planning perspective, it was space that was not really in use for much so why not turn it into something useable and revenue generating? It is a nice, modern, bright space that has good AV capability and space for about 150 people comfortably. Given that, it meets the basic requirements for holding a meeting/conference but it has several quirky things that limit its utility. Being within a busy mall, parking can be an issue especially if your meeting is occurring on a day when the mall traffic is expected to be heavy. The closest parking ramp is the one between Macy's and Nordstrom's. Use the first floor West Entrance, walk straight ahead into the theme park and it is to your right 1 flight of stairs up. It sounds easier than it is, especially if the parking ramp is full, you may end up parking in a totally different area resulting in you being quite a ways away. I do notice that in this particular parking ramp, there are reserved spaces for almost every other type of venue except the conference center. (There are reserved spaces for package pickup, Uber pickup, medical clinic use, etc. but no reserved spaces for the conference center.) This can limit its ease of accessibility. Another odd quirk is that the conference room itself is an odd "L" shape which limits sight lines when in the audience. The room accommodates for this by putting large video screens on the side walls so that the content can be seen by everyone in the room so that is a unique way to deal with the visual obstacles in the room but the overall feel of the room is that it is somewhat broken up because if you sit deep in 1 end of the "L", you cannot see the other side. Another oddity that is quite entertaining but is actually a distraction is that the entry to the conference room (which is the back of the conference room) is floor to ceiling glass. This gives the speaker a commanding view of the theme park and contributes to the brightness and airy feeling of the space. However, as a speaker, you are acutely aware of every roller coaster that roars by because they do so about 10 feet outside the windows. Very thrilling and entertaining but also quite distracting as it occurs every 3-4 minutes. Finally, the noise level from the theme park is loud. The entry/exit is not protected with a double door or some type of entryway receiving room so the doors are the only thing that stand between the actual conference room and the theme park. This means that if anyone comes in or leaves during the middle of a presentation, the full sound and kiddy screams from the rides enters the meeting. Not cool as the audience then can't hear what the speaker is saying and the speaker has an immediate distraction during their talk (not to mention that it pretty much outs anyone trying to enter or exit quietly in the middle of the presentation). Overall, I really like the space and some aspects of the concept but it needs to fix the parking and sound issues for sure if it wants to be considered as a seriously desirable space for large meetings and conferences.

He knows exactly what he is doing, and he is there every step of the way. He was willing to do whatever it took for us to have an amazing night. He truly cares about his couples and wants them to have a stress free, fantastic night. When Covid hit, George was very good at letting us know what was going on, and he was very flexible about moving our date with no charge. Despite the new rules, it was still the magical night I always imagined. Jana was our coordinator, and she was absolutely amazing as well. She made sure we didn't have to worry about anything the entire night. If she saw us or our parents without a drink, she made sure to ask if we needed anything. She even jokingly reprimanded me when I tried helping clean up at the end of the night. We had SO many compliments on the food and the GEORGOUS venue. George took advantage of the pandemic lockdown and people postponing their weddings in order to make a beautiful venue 10X more beautiful. The up lights, dance lights and the dry ice fog were amazing. The price George charges is definitely a steal for how beautiful the venue is and the quality of service you get.

The parking lot is dark as heck at night which I wasn't a fan of! They really need to brighten it up as it's a bit spooky and feels unsafe but I'm sure it is safe, since it's far out! Upon entrance, there was water with no cups waiting for you...disappointed when coming in and tired. They should keep it stocked! The front desk staff were 2 ladies and a gentlemen who appeared to be a Manager! Although, they were all really nice and friendly the manager was not the best with customer service. He was friendly but seemed irritated! I think that he was training one of the ladies. I requested the top floor as I often do, at hotels but the manager stated that they didn't have any available which I found that hard to believe since the hotel wasn't fully booked! It urks my soul to stay under humans! I settled for a lower floor since I could tell he was irritated and I don't usually push it since I have other ways of dealing with things such as coming on yelp! HA The hotel is outdated walking in but clean! Upon entrance to my floor the hallways are clean and smelled clean. The room was decent but the vacuuming could've been better since there were cracker crumbs on the carpet. I liked the couch in the room as it gave it a classy look from the 80s. The toilet needed to be replaced as it was rusted and actually grossed me out! The bathrooms are definitely outdated as the ceiling is short. Thankfully, I'm 5'2 1/2 but had I come with anyone 5"10 or taller, they would have had to duck to shower!!!* I've never seen this before, where the ceiling was this low). The view from the room was awesome . I love a good view! I wasn't in the room much as I had a full iteniary the entire time for my stay. I literally used the room to sleep and shower so, I made it work. I did upgrade to the hyper allergic room which consist of a humidifier (eye roll), and hyperallergic sheets which honestly, I couldn't tell the difference. I loved the shower water and pressure though! The shower had a filter which made the showers nice and they had hot water which is a huge plus! I love the shower, shampoo and lotion products as they smelled really good! It was raining and freezing outside so I requested a heater since they already turned their boilers down for the summer months. They sent me up a Chllds meal heater.... it was a joke! I closed the curtains and bathroom door so that the lil toy heater would warm the room while sleeping and getting dressed each day... sheesh another huge draw back for me coming from heat was having to fight to stay warm in my room. Thankfully, I bring my own sheet and blanket and thankfully I had winter pj's with me since it's Mn and you never know what to expect! It wasn't extremely bad just outdated and needed heat! I wouldn't stay at this location again but I also wouldn't discourage anyone from staying here as it wasn't a 5 star hotel but def a 3 1/2 star, at best! The indoor pool and restaurant/bar area were nice which boost the stars to 3 1/2. There were no bugs which was a HUGE PLUS because then, I wouldn't have stayed if I seen even 1. Not going to lie!!! Overall, there's plenty of hotels in the area to choose from! They do offer shuttle to and from the airport which is nice, if needed! It beats a motel 6. Or does it? Idk as I've heard great things about those being updated so idk. It beats sleeping outside! How's that!
