The little oasis beach cottage north captiva's vacation rental sensation as other guests call it delivered on every vacationing angle our family of 6 had. Let's start with the initial impression the owner. Wow! These ladies were so receptive and responsive and by this we mean a 10 minute response time every time. We needed a quick response to our vacation inquiry because we were ready to book! Maureen answered all questions we had and her business partner was terrific sending us the contract and informing us on what we should expect once on island . Within 15 minutes after giving then the green light we were all set with a planning guide and all. We were given all the right numbers to call the ferry to set up a 1pm ferry reservation. Once on island the house caretaker greeted us at the docks ! We were a little nervous because everyone around us looked lost and here was this gal waiving hello asking for Megan. She showed us to the golf cart they provided free of charge with the rental and showed us the second golf cart we rented as we were 6 people. One golf cart only holds 4 on island typically . She then showed us around the resort style facilities of the private club ( I recommend for every One to ask about club privileges it's awesome ) and she showed us the waterfront restaurants there's 4 on island and the small convenience store too. We were then off to the beach cottage after that. The gentlemen of the ferry took our luggage to the house which was fantastic! We ordered the grocery shopping service so when we opened the fridge we had the booze we ordered and all the groceries organized. The beach house is impressive folks ! On a rainy day we did in fact take advantage of the hot tub and the bugs were no bother. I would recommend you bring off spray though like we did it's an island. Obvious. They had live streaming tv so we got to see the news which we like at night. The Wi-Fi was free and solid considering is an island. The house was spotless. No kidding when they say professional cleaning crew Wow! To the left there were 3 open lots with nature and trees and plan tress no neighbors to the left or right. Loved the exposed wooden beams what a neat concept! The beds were ultra comfortable. Needless to say we booked our stay come march 2020. Best vacation rental beach house with a private heated pool on North Captiva island by a long shot! They also have a hot tub which was a great feature we just did not use it because it was hot already out. My husband and I love sailing and boating and we came on our 24 footer and rented a slip at $60 a day and we were all set! By the way there were various slip prices we just like the location of the one we did select because it was closer to all the action that's all. Also for the benefit of anyone owning a boat like we do the smaller the boat the smaller the rate for a slip. It is VERY reasonable considering North Captiva island is paradise and so was The Little Oasis Beach Cottage. From the owner Maureen to the entire staff at the beach house, all was perfect. There is saltwater fishing and fresh water fishing and we did both! Had a blast. The beach cottage doesn't feel like a rental at all. It has a homey very comfortable feel to it so when you are inside, it feels like home. We loved it and we will be returning. The island is like nothing we have ever seen. Is like remote and undiscovered like Maureen told us and you're just in awe of nature, the blue turquoise waters, the sand, and is true no crowds! Such a magical beach house in North Captiva Island , Fl and the owner and her team that truly made our 10th anniversary great was terrific as well! The beach cottage is exactly as advertised. You can tell these ladies really care about their place with all the details that were seen around. Thanks for all the waterfront restaurant recommendations since we arrived on our Grady White 25 footer they were able to accommodate us with a rental slip which we were so appreciative for at the entrance of the island. These ladies were extremely well connected on island and they truly went above and beyond for my husband and I. That rooftop deck is to die for! Oh my gosh those stars at night. Loved how close it was to the beach too and the privacy this beach house has is something very special because the rest you can see when exploring in golf cart around the island. I wanted to thank The Little Oasis Beach Cottage for making my husband's pre deployment surprise an amazing one. The beach house in Upper Captiva island is heaven and so is the island. The staff at this little paradise of a beach house was so friendly you wanted to give everyone a hug how sweet they all were. This was the best vacation we have experienced in years so we are grateful for all the goodies you left for us complimentary and know we appreciate every single one of you.
