I was told I would receive a call the following day once it was tested. After receiving no update, I called the store myself and was told my offer was ready and to come in. After driving over 40 minutes, I was informed in person that you could not accept the console due to a fan issue--information that should have been communicated over the phone. Additionally, during a previous visit to sell a collection of Naruto Funko Pops and manga, I explicitly asked to complete the transaction that day to avoid another trip. Despite assurances, I was kept waiting until closing time, only to be given a rushed and surprisingly low offer. Clear communication and respect for customers' time are essential. I hope you will address these issues to improve your service going forward.

It was veruca salt American Thighs, back when the store was on east state street and I went to see some grunge band at Luigis afterwards. Very fond memories. If you're looking for lots of stock of new stuff this might not be your spot but if you want fairly priced used records then this is a great spot. I have found a lot of hidden gems in here over the years at both locations. In the past I've gotten nice vinyl copies of hard rock bands like Captain Beyond and Lucifers Friend for NOT discogs/online prices. Last week I got a sealed Weird Al cassette for just a few dollars and this album is not available on vinyl so it makes it extra fun. They are not trying to be cool or capitalize on vinyl - they just like and sell lots of music and media. Go support - Go dig!

The selection is strongest from the 60's and 70's and bins are all well organized. The condition of the records is generally good and prices are competitive. I came in and was directed to a separate counter for selling products. The nice, helpful staffer took my name and number and told me they would call me in 10-20 minutes. I expected them to look it over while I was present, but asking me to wait a while looking over the selections was fine. I went to run an errand and received a call sooner than expected. They were able to use some CDs and offered me $12 cash OR $15 store credit. I chose cash. It was a nice exchange. The 2nd time I came I was not so lucky but it's fine. There were quite a few people there both times. I did not get any pics inside, but the new location is quite convenient, just a walk-in on Wabash. I have not purchased anything, but in addition to music, they have posters and pins.

After losing our Crystal Lake Barnes and Nobles and Borders decades ago, I sorely missed having a…read moreclose place to run to when I wanted to browse for books. While the opening of this store coincided with the closing of the Spring Hill Mall location, I gotta say-- I'm so happy to have a close bookstore again! Barnes and Noble has been slowly moving away from the stores of yesteryear and most sport a new redesign. The stores are (or at least look) smaller and have a more sterile feel to them. They've very streamlined. The big customer service desk is gone, as is the music department, which for years have laid pretty dormant at most Barnes and Nobles, truth be told. The inventory of CD's and DVD's is much, much smaller than before, so if that's why you visited Barnes and Noble, you'll be disappointed. The same goes for if you shopped their for magazines, which have been severely cut as well. The Children's area has lost a bit of charm, as well, losing the fun storytime tree/nook and cute wall decorations.The children's area is less enclosed than in the older stores. The cafe is present and had a lot of seating, which is nice. It is not as separate from the actual store as in many Barnes and Nobles. As far as books, I feel like there is less of a selection because of the new direction. That being said, there's still plenty to browse and while corporate redesign has changed a bit of the vibe of the stores, it's still a good place to go and relax or to wander about when you just need something to do. I'm happy to see a new BN near by and know I'll frequent it often.
