Cute little bar. Good beer and shot specials. Was glad to see they had more liquor than just whiskey. Good background music while the game was playing.

So typically our group goes to a different bar pretty much right next door to this one but last night we couldn't get in without a cover so we decided to give this place a shot. I am very glad we did. The lighting is this very cool dim red, giving the whole place this warm neon glow. The drinks, while very pricey in comparison, were well made and delicious. The things that really made the difference for us: The bouncer is really nice and has a super interesting personality, and he is very fun to engage with throughout the night. Last night the playlist was awesome and while many of the songs where not related by genre they were exactly what we needed to hear, and we showed it by singing along at our table. The best part was we were not alone in this, as the man next to us, the bouncer, and the bartender joined us at several points across the evening. Also, we had a blast playing jenga at our table, and learned that we all get competitive a few drinks in. What a good way to start our night!

I really like this bar I took my brother here before we headed to a concert for some Eagle Rare on the rocks he was in heaven...the doorman was the coolest and even grabbed an extra chair for us when their were only 2 definitely left us with a great first impression. The bartender Chris is very personable not like some other places where they dont wcen make eye contact... definitely a good spot will return!

Great cozy place. Nice beer selection.

Great place! This has become my local watering hole. Amazing staff, locals everywhere. Why is it $$$$ though? I'd give it $$ at most?

Big wooden booths make this a solid place to catch up with a small group, and it looked like they had some outdoor seating in the back as well. I was here past happy hour time during the week, but the prices here are still decent. My friend and I grabbed two rounds of vodka sodas and ended up owing $30 each. The bar had a handful of folks in here on a Thursday at 6 but wasn't too overcrowded. I liked the vintage style glasses and fun straw my cocktail came with. Our bartender was attentive enough and made good drinks. There are some TVs here in case you want to watch some sports. It's conveniently located right off the train. A very good dive bar, indeed.

The cocktail menu included a selection of martinis, including a pickle martini which I knew I had to get and happy I did so as it was perfectly made. The ambiance was dark and mysterious with various black rabbit themed decorations of art and taxidermy lining the rustic and wooden walls. The bartender was very friendly and service was quick and smooth. The pickle martini itself was delicious and I could've ordered several if I wasn't pacing myself for a longer night ahead. The bar food menu included a selection of cheeses as well as mini burgers which I personally opted for and exceeded my expectations. After the martini and grub we opted for a couple of their draft beers which were also a great choice. By the time we were leaving, the bar was full and there was a lively birthday party being hosted in the back. I'd recommend black rabbit for any type of evening you're looking to have.

Cuisine: 7 Service: 7…read moreDecor: 7 Value: 7 Overall: 7 This bar has been around for a while now and I can see why. Over 20 beers on tap and a good selection of other alcoholic beverages too. However, my friends and I were here for the food, so that's what this review is based on. She-wolf Sourdough (7/10) - It was good bread, but nothing really special. Hot Crab Dip (7/10) - Very veggie forward flavors, but you do taste crab. Not bad. Btw, this dish comes with a few pieces of the She-Wolf Sourdough. Danish Dog (7.5/10) - Great snap to the bite of the dog itself. Bread was great. Pickles are interesting, but the curry mayo should be stronger and more bold. Simple mustard would have been better. Old Bay Chicken Wings (8/10) - Nice plump and juicy wings with that dusting of Old Bay seasoning. Yum! Fried Chicken Sandwich (5/10) - Chicken was fried well and bread was fine. However, the chili miso honey was way too much for me. Too sweet, not spicy at all, and just didn't work well. Dry Aged Burger (7/10) - Beef patty needs more seasoning and a better crust. No real char at all, though a decent beef flavor was present. Not into the sprouts, but the tomato jam was good. From what I heard, I had high hopes for the food here. In the end, it was a satisfying meal, but nothing special something I travel so far for again.

This place has everything, attentive service, great beer, and great food. I find that sometimes the beer offerings at various breweries get a bit stale --- it's almost always the same stuff. Keg & Lantern is going to have all your favorite, but they just seem better executed. My go-to first beer is the Soprano. A great crisp Italian pilsner After that, it's off to the races with a high abv hazy ipa. The food here is also great. In particular, I love their fish and chips. After having it multiple times, it seems unbelievably consistent. It's always delicious. My wife loves the blackened fish. Finally, the service is great. They're attentive, always seem to swing by at the right time, and are super friendly. K&L seems to do everything all the other breweries do, but just a little bit better. For sure stop in here. Oh, also they've got some great happy hour specials!

It's one of those seat yourself spots, so I get wanting to save a bigger area for your crew, but it felt chaotic and hard to find seating here. The second time I went, it wasn't nearly as crowded and I was able to snag a booth, which made for a much better experience. Note to self, if there's a big playoff game or any major sporting event happening, go early to save prime seating. Otherwise, go when there isnt a game on if you want a more chill vibe. For drinks, I ordered a pint of the creamsicle beer, which didn't really taste like the ice cream. Since they're known for their wings, I ordered the Yakitori wings and Buffalo wings. Both were good. Also got a large plate of chili chicken fries, which were amazing. Overall, I was happy with the meal. Service was just alright. It wasn't terrible, but nothing stood out either.

Watching soccer, pretending as if I had been looking forward to Germany playing Curaçao for weeks. The occasional glance at the Chrysler building across the East River. As I worked my way through my beers, the amazing bartender perfectly timing my refills, I felt as if this may be my new place. My "get away from all the noise" safe haven. That was until I was halfway through beer three. It all got dark. I mean it literally got dark. A waitress began pulling down all the blinds, taking away the sun haven I had found myself loving. Taking away the joy I had worked so hard to achieve. That is when I knew that that beer would be my last. I did not come to a bar with a wall of windows to end up in a place darker than the Rikers Island cells mere miles away. So I ask this one question to the waitress, why? Why ruin the joy of light? Why ruin it?
