I am visiting my family in New York and we decided to all go skating together. As we approached the area, a security guard said he didn't think it was open. We saw the rink and we realized why he thought so. We spoke with the employees, and were told we could skate but I'm pretty sure large puddles and debris on the rink are not ideal conditions. We opted not to skate. We were told we would be refunded and I was by the end of the day, hence the reason for 2 stars. Mahalo for the swift action! I live in San Diego and used to live in Honolulu where I have been I've skating outside in warm weather. It was in the 50 degrees temp range yesterday so not the coldest, but there is clearly something wrong with their cooling system for the ice. I hope they rectify this issue and stop allowing folks to book online and head all the way out by 9th Avenue for a failed skating endeavor. We stopped and took some photos as the lemon exhibit was decorated for winter. Cute photo ops.

1 Manhattan West is a brand new building in Hudson Yards that rents space to corporations. The…read moresurrounding area is part of 1 Manhattan West including a great deal of Public Space. There's currently a Public Art installation with Lemons that brightens the space. The seating area is so spacious I didn't have any problem finding a seat. It's very close to the Whole Foods and the Shops at Hudson Yards. There's plenty of businesses I love nearby plus it is across the street from the Moynihan Train Station. Kitty Corner across the street is the Historic B&H Photo. Even if you do not have business inside I recommend you visit this area. I did go inside and I can say the lobby attendants are very nice. There's work still in progress along the Public Space. I'm told the NHL (National Hockey League) Store will be open in about a week. It's on the ground floor South Side of the building. Maureen, Steve and Sarah are extremely helpful and made our arrival and stay pleasant. Our investment firm needed space for 2 to 3 months prior to moving into full-time real estate in downtown Stamford. Serendipity ended up being a great fit for that time period. Pros: 1. Immediate Move In - You can speak with Maureen and then bring in your laptop same day 2. Clean & Comfortable Space - Solid design, good furniture, and great conference rooms with solid flat screen TV's for projection. 3. Client First Mindset - Maureen, Steve and Sarah who run the location really do put the tenants needs first. They were flexible on several locations. Some small but important examples (needed documents printed quickly, needed temporary access for candidates to be interviewed, needed flexibility on our move out date) 4. Nice Kitchen - There is coffee, snacks (for purchase) and a large refrigerator. 5. More Professional Than We Works - I've been to several of the We Works in New York and some feel like a party. They're more of a fit for people right out of college. Con's (Mostly Minor): 1. Printing - The setup for printing was a challenge if you have a Mac computer 2. Access Door - The one access door between the two sections of the building didn't work very well. Steve and team spent a lot of time trying to fix it but it was a challenge for two months we were there. 3. Smells In Small Rooms - For some reason the small rooms can smell pretty bad (possibly the carpeting) and it seems to change day to day. Overall very positive experience. If you need something quick with people who will be your advocate to make it work Serendipity Labs is a good bet. I plan on using the location that is being built in the city I am moving to.
