After making some repairs to the taping and floating they applied texture and properly primed and painted with two coats of latex paint. The final product is something that looks as good as the walls in my home. The job was finished ahead of schedule at the agreed upon price, which was very fair. I asked for a little extra cleanup and they happily obliged. I have a couple of other projects in the same space coming up and will definitely get a proposal from them.

He also used old paint cans because the were completely rusted on top but he charged me to buy new paint!!!! He left the house a mess, drip spots, unfinished paint, and the laundry room was and looks just thrown on. He talked a big game and I believed him but after seeing the work done he is far from being the best on the northshore as he claims he is. Do yourselves a favor and find someone stable and that will not charge you for unknown things and that will leave your home tidy and painted beautifully.

This project was significantly more complicated than most, since I was coordinating from Seattle, on behalf of my 80-year-old mother in law. Upon our family visit to her home recently, I inspected her roof to find subtle weather-related damages. I reached out to a list of roofing companies in the Baton Rouge area, with Google reviews of at least 4.5 of 5 stars, who also showed a solid reputation with the Better Business Bureau. Louisiana Roof Crafters (LRC) returned my call same day. Within two days, an inspection of the roof was underway by their Project Manager, Brian Ballard... all before the first call back from LRC's competitors. Ballard and I discussed all the specs of the shingle product to be included in the replacement proposal, the finer points of ice/water shield for roof valleys amid a myriad of other details and the all-important warranties, all of which I was very pleased to see met or exceeded industry standards. Ballard carefully walked me through the insurance claim process for my mother in law's carrier, and he coordinated follow up through me weeks later so he actually walked the roof alongside my mother in law's insurance claims adjuster, to be sure the adjuster was accounting for the same subtle hail damage that prompted the claim. Ballard even provided a list to the adjuster of multiple hailstorms that had swept through the area 6 months prior, something I could not have been aware of, which bolstered the insurance claim. Additionally, Ballard assured us that LRC's cost estimating software is also used by the major insurance companies, reducing the chance of debate over costs of replacement/repair. All of the above resulted in the insurance adjuster writing a check before he left my mother in law's property, to fully pay for all labor and materials for LRC to replace the roof, minus the deductible. In the follow up to that approval went a plethora of communications discussing the various options, potential upgrades in products, inventories and scheduling. Ballard maintained the same high level of communication and follow up through it all. Despite all his other work and projects due to storm damage in the area in the weeks after we started working together, he continued to provide the same level of customer care as he did prior to our commitment to his firm. He sent me copies of every important document before it was to be signed by my mother in law, implemented any edits we agreed upon, and made sure I received all copies of signed documents. We could not be more grateful for the thoroughness, communication and final outcome - and, I believe, most importantly, the consistent integrity - we experienced with Louisiana Roof Crafters and their team of professionals, led by their project manager, Brian Ballard.

I have a clogged over flow line that leaves out of my septic tank. Brook's Plumbing came out and…read moreran a snake down both ways in the piping and attempted to flush out the line with a bladder. All in all about an hour and a half worth of work and came to the conclusion that the line may be collapsed. I accepted the defeat, hoping it was an easy fix. So with that said I asked what do I owe them for the work they did and it came out to $650. To run a snake up the pipe and utilize the bladder and very little hand digging $650 and the issue was never resolve. And then got offered that they will come out with a mini trackhoe to dig and fix the issue for $1800 pulse cost of materials. I will never again hire a plumber, I might even quit my job as a natural gas pipeliner and start work as a plumber. I feel so cheated out of $650 for nothing really. I Couldn't in my right mind charge somebody full price for that little work and not fixing the issue. Sure make a few bucks coming out to the site and attempting to fix it. But $650??? And septic system is still messed up.... Never again Brooks plumbing.
