Agree with another reviewer from EIGHT years ago --the Locker Room is STILL not well suited for online ordering. $23 was the cheapest shipping they offered for a couple of shirts and the return process is an expensive nightmare. Either fully commit to and embrace online ordering or discontinue it. It's 2024 and free or low cost shipping is the expectation and the norm. Otherwise this is a great place to shop in person. I recently needed a Navy blazer for my high schooler for Homecoming. I live in Birmingham and could not find one anywhere locally. I have a college aged son at Alabama. We had bought him a navy blazer at The Locker Room when he was pledging his Fraternity. I called and spoke with Russ. He found the blazer I needed and processed the payment over the phone for me. My son at Alabama was able to pick it up within 15 minute. You will never find this level of customer service in Birmingham. I cannot say enough good things about this store. we have shopped here several times and they always amaze me. The Locker Room is an example of a craftsman at work. Alex Gatewood has been at his craft for a long, long time and is therefore the preeminent expert on menswear in Tuscaloosa. You won't find a presentation like this at any mall or online. Buy from him once and Alex will not only remember your name, but also your sizes and preferences on your next visit. He's an artist. Pricey, yes, but you pay for what you get. Undeniable quality and expertise. The Locker Room has clothes for the youngsters and women as well, but this area is less than about 25% of the overall floor space. Nice things, but this is primarily a mens store. Go to the Locker Room for the nicest pieces in hour wardrobe - more if you can afford it. You wont' be disappointed. read more

I like their clothes, but they don't make it easy for people ordering online. Since their stuff fits way big, it's easy to get surprised ordering from here, then you have to pay to shop it back, AND include a check for return shipping. In the end, I paid almost half of the price of a shirt just in shipping to get it right. Best advice if you like their stuff and can't make it to TTown much, is to order a size smaller and hope for the best. read more

The Locker Room is one of the best place in Tuscaloosa for Gameday or casual apparel. They have a wide range of brands for any formal occasion or just hanging out on a Saturday. I miss the old location on the strip but the newer location in downtown Tuscaloosa is bigger and they're able to carry more clothing and accessories. There are five great things about this longstanding men's haberdashery. First, the Gatewoods. Father and son make you feel welcome at each visit and are helpful when you need help selecting a wardrobe. Second, they have the best selection of high quality Bama gear in Alabama. They have all the top brands and the embroidery on shirts and hats is top-notch. Third, the variety of traditional dress and casual clothing is robust and fairly priced. Fourth, its new location in downtown affords plenty of parking within and easy distance.
