I bring my binoculars and always spot a great variety of birds. The trees are absolutely stunning... there are over 100 species of trees. Honestly... it's a little escape from a hectic world. It's the perfect place to bring a book, find your spot, and just relax for a while. Whether you're looking to unwind, enjoy nature, or have a quiet moment to yourself...this park is a hidden gem that never disappoints. Perfect for getting in your steps too! I like to go early morning before it gets too hot or busy. Starting in May they have free canoe rentals!! They also have very good food. Love their fresh fruit cups which they prepare every morning daily, their sandwiches are fresh and very good! I've also had their ice cream and it's delicious. When you first walk into the main building, you can check out chess pieces and other games. Some of the tables have the chessboard design printed on them. Perfect for getting your chess game on. Every Wednesday and Sunday, you can bring your dog. Over at the boathouse on the bottom floor they have a little museum called "Drawers of curiosity." Hard to believe The Gathering Place doesn't charge an entrance fee!! It's just simply amazing!

Haikey is a gem! It might not be "perfect" but it gets the "go to a park" itch scratched. Parks are…read morea spectrum. For a local suburban park, it's great. A little about it: - pickleball (6 courts and it can get busy. Free) - trail that goes into the woods a little bit. NOT like hiking. - disc golf. Challenging, yet good for beginners. Just skip the holes with the water hazards. - playground. Two playgrounds on the same side of the park. - fields. Soccer and baseball fields. - dog friendly. If you are a loose leash owner, I've seen plenty of people with dogs off leash. Lots of room away from the road. There's not tons of off leash dogs there btw if that concerns you. - picnic/gazebo spots - parking in several areas Again, it's not perfect. It can get busy like all parks, there might be people that you don't care for, and it doesn't have every single feature a park can have - but it gets the job done.

The park is well-maintained and clean, with plenty of benches and picnic tables along the way for resting or enjoying a snack. There are also several waste stations throughout the park, making it easy to clean up after your dog. The creek running through the park is a nice touch, providing a peaceful backdrop to your walk. Overall, Hailey Creek Park is a great spot for a leisurely dog walk in Tulsa. The scenery is beautiful, the park is well-kept, and there are plenty of amenities to make your visit enjoyable. I highly recommend it for pet owners looking for a nice place to take their furry friend for a stroll. Bathrooms were super clean and we noticed they had updated the frisbee golf to include more "holes"!

It's a little bit of a hike to play, but definitely a must-try for some minor adventure over the weekend. 18 holes total. Hole 1 is off of Santa Fe just passed W. Covell. There are a lot of trees and wooded areas to lose discs in and the course isn't marked very well. If you get here and can't find your way around, there are usually local golfers that can help you. That being said, there are a lot of terrain changes and obstacles to make for a fun game. Even though there isnt a map to look at it's not too difficult to make your way through the course and they are making it easier all the time with new signage. Mitch Park is huge, so when you get to it pull into the West entrance off of Covell. Follow the street to the back left and park in the circle parking by the Kids Playground. From here, 18's basket and Hole 1 teepad is located behind the large pavilion..away from the circle parking. There is a board that will tell you what pin position the course is on and from there you will see how nice the course is. Have fun and ask for help if you need it. There are usually plenty of friendly people out there, most will let you play with them if you ask. There are also a few out of the way benches around the course and away from the walking trails...to get back to nature.
