The free amenities include wifi and laundry, wifi has now gone out multiple times for days and we submitted multiple complaints about our dryer after having to run it at least 3x for every load, using electricity we pay for seperately. If you plan on moving out before your roommates, you will still be charged for water and sewage that you are not using. I didn't have high standards but considering the price of college housing is more than the average Boston apartment, they need to either lower the price or maybe make some updates. Nothing to do with the staff!

For example, they can assign a much older man to a house with 4 female students ages 20-22! They were sent an email at 5pm stating he would be moving in the next day! Never in a million years did I think a non-student, older man working as a government contractor could be assigned to my daughter's house. Wanted to make others aware of this loophole in the contract so that you go in with eyes wide open. While he ultimately did not end up moving in, it was no thanks to The Cottages/American Campus Leasing Managers.

He asked to right some wrongs, explained why certain things happened the way they did and offered to review the home again and write the estimate over. Patrick and Susan came back to the house and completed the evaluation and wrote the quote, both done as they should have been and came in quite competitively with the other movers that offered us a quote. That left us with a dilemma; go with Personal Movers because they were very good about reworking our estimate or go with another mover who did things correctly the first time. In the end, we went with our gut. The estimates were nearly identical, but the fact that we had had trouble initially gave us pause. We went with the other mover. I changed my review to a three because Patrick did try to make it right and in all fairness had not performed the move yet. This company seems like one that is open to righting wrongs, and willing to put a more senior person on the job if you aren't satisfied. I do appreciate that. 04/23/2015 I called Personal Movers and spoke with Susan Ward about having someone come out to review my home for packing and shipping to another state. Susan visited and toured my home. She said that she would provide me a quote via email as soon as possible. I had received quotes from three other companies in under three days so I expected the same from Susan. After waiting two weeks, I had to call Susan twice to ask for her quote. When Susan finally sent me the quote, not only was it considerable higher than each of the other movers but the information included was inaccurate. For instance, the quote included charges for the shipment of 3 K/Q beds - I have 1. The quote included a total of 7 beds of various sizes. I have 1K and two twin size beds. This website here on Yelp states that they give discounts for AAA members and senior citizens. I am both and neither was ever mentioned to me. I don't use the internet much so I was unaware of this until after I received the quote and my daughter pointed out that they didn't include a discount. Given that I practically had to beg THEM for their business, I would not recommend Personal Movers and will not be using them myself. If this is not typical of their business then perhaps Susan Ward is the problem. I cannot reconcile a moving business treating a potential customer as though they are inconveniencing them by requesting to use them to move. I can't even imagine what the actual service might have been and the customer service response about a problem would be.
