The Londoner is a very nice, modern hotel in a great location. The location right off Leicester Square is really convenient for sightseeing. It's easy to walk to Piccadilly Circus, Trafalgar Square, Covent Garden, and China Town. Access to the Tube from here is super easy as well.
The hotel itself is gorgeous. The rooms are very well-appointed too. Everything you could ever want - nice fluffy beds, robes, slippers, Nespresso, bidet/toilet seat warmer, umbrella, water bottles, yummy orange marmalade biscuits, the list goes on and on. The lobby, bar, pool, hot tub, steam room, and sauna were all well-maintained and luxurious as well.
The customer service was completely phenomenal. The front desk staff, doormen, housekeepers, and porters were all extremely kind and helpful. Room service was delivered promptly with friendly service. We thought the staff were all very good with people.
We had two different rooms during our stay. Although both were nice, the first was near the top of the building, cramped, didn't have a bathtub, and had a lot of outside noise from the square. After a few days in this room, we called the front desk to see if we could be moved. They were incredibly accommodating and moved us the same day. Our second room on a lower floor was much larger, quieter, and nicer. The front desk said that the rooms are generally smaller the higher up they go. I always ask for a higher room to get a better view, but that wasn't the best idea here. I think the per night cost of this hotel is justifiable for the larger room, but I wouldn't have been pleased if we had to stay in the smaller room for the entire duration of our stay.
Overall, this place is amazing - luxurious, artsy, and comfortable with great customer service to boot. read more
