Cool hotel. The staff was very friendly the entire time I was there. I was always greeted. COVID precautions in place. The room was very nice and clean. They even had a mask and gloves in there for you. After I checked in I got a surprise knock at my door... it was a thank you check in dessert!! That was the best and a nice touch. Fantastic location!!! Let's start there. But second and not at all in order of priority come customer service. We arrived at 8 am the day we were to check in. We assumed that we could have our bags held while we walked the city. From the door man to the front desk staff member to the man who brought our bags, every single person was super duper accommodating. They checked us into one of the two rooms at 8 am when check in is 3 pm!!!! Subsequently since every single person has been very engaging and seems to go out of their way to make our stay memorable! Can all properties be trained by these individuals?? If not, they should be. The rooms are typical London small, but very clean and cute. My 5 stars goes for the service!!! Beautiful hotel in Piccadilly. Close to our favorite restaurants & the West End. Close to all the touristy places & the tube is just a hop, skip & jump away. Our room was very large with a private balcony with double French doors (which leached out all the noise from the street). From the front door we had a small entryway with another door for added security. Walk in closet held all of our clothes. Large room with a very comfortable king bed, couch, desk, chairs & small table. The bathroom whilst small was functional. Housekeeping kept the place very clean & very well stocked. The staff is very friendly & always wanting to help. The private lounge offered very delicious food & drinks throughout the day, this area is on the mezzanine level & has a private elevator. read more

#1 complaint - the creaking floors!!! #2 complaint housekeeper forgot our room one day...rather than carry old clunky vacuum cleaner down the stairs, the housekeepers drag them...ugh...I totally get it that they are tired, but I was so jet lagged and trying to nap for a few hours Our room was very large with a private balcony with double French doors. The work out room is great, and Mattea is the BEST!!! She was so helpful and sweet! The pool is a total TRIP! It's so old that it looks like Caligula might have hosted some parties/orgies there. The tiled pillars, fountains and arena ceilings really make it a one-of-a-kind swimming experience. All in all, if you want to stay this close to the action, this is probably the place to be. We have stayed in this place a number of times before and it was time that I write a review.  The location of this hotel is just perfect with the Theatre District , Marleybone area, SOHO, Chinatown and other great attractions so close by.  This time we had a very nice corner end room on the highest floor (a bit bigger than normal London size rooms).  As part of the Bonvoy Lifetime Titanium status we receive (at no extra charge): -  Access to the Lounge on the Mezz level - all day snacks, waters, coffee,  espresso.... -  Continental Breakfast, fruits, pastries, juices, soft drinks, eye opener smoothies, eggs-  Afternoon snacks -  Afternoon tea with sandwiches, scones,  other snacks -  Happy Hour - beer, wine and hors d'ouvres -  After HH large selection of cheeses and crackers for nightly snacks This place is pricey however, it is very nice and they do treat you very well here.  It is always my first choice to stay while in London! read more

This is an old hotel. Your room will probably not be awesome or all that comfortable, and the bathroom is probably rather outdated. The foyer, lounge and general design of the hotel are gorgeous, which really underscores the disparity between them and the downtrodden rooms. However, you chose to stay in Piccadilly. These buildings are crazy F'ing old!!! Get over it. The staff were fantastic, especially the valets/hops, who we had all but befriended by the time we left. The pool is a TRIP! It's so old that it looks like Caligula had a handful of orgies in and around it. The tiled pillars, fountains and arena ceilings really make it a one-of-a-kind swimming experience. All in all, if you want to stay this close to the action, this is probably the place to be. We stayed there almost a year ago. Who knows? Maybe they've overhauled the bathrooms and carpets in the rooms by now. read more

Let's get one thing straight, this is a potentially very good hotel that's in desperate need of an upgrade. One star for prime location. That's the sum substance of the positives. Club Lounge food is on a par with cheapass Homewood Suites grub: cereal, fruit, rolls, juice and coffee for breakfast: ZERO HOT ITEMS! Our room was a decent size but OMG--WTF is the story with those creaking floors?! Worst of all, STARWOOD used to equip all their brands with those delightful Heavenly Beds--not so with MARRIOTT apparently--because our room had the crappiest, mushiest, non-supportive bed I've had since I went to sleep away camp in the 1950s, and when I inquired about getting a board to put under it the front desk person advised me there weren't any to be had. Disappointing with a capital D, especially when you're being soaked for $500+ per night!!! Oh, and then there was the lovely fire drill at 9:00 am on a Sunday morning; try to imagine how much I enjoyed hustling down 7 flights of stairs in my pjs for no good reason. Won't be back until I read about a head to toe complete renovation! read more

Outdated and unapologetic, the Le Meridien in Piccadilly is luxury in name only. The rooms are sad. Small, dark and very basic amenities. The bed is a flat saggy thing, the desk is so low you bang your knees on it and there are no plugs anywhere. Not to mention the tiny bathroom where you have to hold the stopper open to let the water run out of your shower. And, the air conditioning is basically nonfunctional. And this was my Starwood Gold upgrade! In addition, the front desk staff is curt and officious. Not a great experience all around. Le Meridien should remove their name from this hotel; it's bad for business at their other hotels! The hotel itself needs some renovation; rooms are dated and definitely have their share of wear and tear. Walls are quite thin, which makes for a bad night's sleep when the people next door are getting their party on! Our "window" looked out immediately to a brick wall; I do mean immediately. The wall was roughly 10 inches from the window. Awesome. However, what saves this hotel from complete one-starness is its location. We walked most places and our hotel was near at least two tube stations, and pretty much everything else. I wouldn't stay again, but it was nice to be so near everything. read more

We have stayed in this hotel a number of times over the years. They have been refurbishing the rooms which we got to see as we had to change rooms. This was the first time we experienced any sort of issues. The toilet in our room was broken for a couple of days and they could not repair it. It would not flush and it was disappointing that the second night they told us it could not be repaired in a timely manner. We were then offered a new room on the top floor (9th) which was smaller but had a new and modern bathroom. The top floor was a bit noisier from the ventilation system. Even though we had no A/C on, it sounded as we did. The phone stopped working so if we needed anything we had to go downstairs to reception. This normally wouldn't be a big deal as we generally do not call for anything but one night it sounded as if some sort of animal was making sounds in our vents. At 330am my husband went down to get someone to check it out. Two men came up and agreed about the strange sounds but were unable to find anything. The shower pressure was terrible and barely dribbled water. I didn't want to be a pest but it was bad so I mentioned it to the front desk. They sent someone up and thankfully they agreed a pump was broken and was able to fix it that day. On to the good things...they upgraded at check-in so we had club level access which offers light breakfast, snacks, and drinks. After some discussion due to the toilet issues, they also gave us 50% off one night and also sent a bottle of champagne to our room. The location is very central and most things are easily walkable. read more

This hotel is a 3.5. One of the challenges is that the hotel touts itself as a 5-star hotel, but it isn't. It's nice, but it's not on par with other 5 star properties. The location can't be beat--right next to Piccadilly Circus and across the street from Fortnum & Mason. Plenty to see within walking distance, and tube stops close by. The lobby is modern, as is the club lounge. The property has a pretty good fitness center, which includes both cardio machines and a separate weight room. As a Starwood Platinum, I was not upgraded, but given a room on a higher floor. The room was nice, clean and well maintained, but not updated. As a Platinum, I was given complementary access to the club lounge, which was great! There is a full breakfast in there, including pastries, meats, fruits and yogurt, plus coffee, tea and other beverages. There is an afternoon tea service daily, which includes finger sandwiches and scones. Additionally, there is a substantial evening happy hour, which includes a number of hors d'oeuvres, salads and wine and beer. Even when food service is not available, the refrigerators are stocked with waters and other non-alcoholic beverages. The staff is very friendly and helpful. read more

Great location, very central and easy to get around. The staff is very friendly and had a quick check-in. They have a lounge that has good breakfast and some snacks throughout the day. Also lots of bottles of water which is a must when traveling and walking around all day! The rooms are more classical, but they don't feel old. Lots of space and plenty of sunlight coming through the windows. Price is high, recommend if you are staying on business trip. Surrounding area: Lots of high end shops 5 min walk. All the major tourist attractions, Big Ben, London Eye, etc... about a 10 min walk. The tube - Piccadelly station 1 block away, very convenient! read more

I travel for a living, spending more than 70% of my time on the road, in the plane and in hotels. Typically I spend on average around 200 nights in hotels each year. This week I was in Berlin, Milan and London. These are some of my favorite European cities, but this trip I tried a different hotel in London. Unfortunately I changed hotels because typically Le Meridien is a reputable brand in the states. The lobby of ale Meridien is very deceiving. It is an old hotel that forgot to upgrade the rooms! My room was one step up from a hostel. The floors creaked and were covered with dirty carpet. When I arrived the plumbing in the bathroom was backed up. It took two calls and 6 hours to get someone to my room. I imagine the staff is burned out on tourists, but that is no excuse. Leave the industry if you don't have it in you to be nice. The front desk staff is deplorable with their arrogance and rude behavior. I am so thankful that I can choose which hotel I want to stay at. I do hope you will take this advice and never stay at Le Meridien Piccadilly when you are in London. I promise you will thank me! read more

Overall, Le Meridien is a dependable hotel located conveniently in Piccadilly Circus (one block from the Tube). This one feels like it's going through some kind of mid-life crisis as it's trying to figure out what it is trying to be. The outside is a regal, historic-looking building, the inside lobby is very modern and trendy like something you'd expect to see at the W, and the rooms are older/historic with some things looking like it's falling apart. My room was nice and big at the end of the hall, so pretty quiet. The amenities are nice with Malin + Goetz stuff like cilantro hair conditioner and peppermint body wash. But the bath looked super run down with chipped tiling. My stay included breakfast in the restaurant (2nd floor), and that was a nice breakfast buffet with a large spread and some tasty elderflower, yogurt, and orange juice concoctions. The biggest annoyance was the long wait at check-in and their policy on having to see the credit card used for booking (which is really dumb if it's a work trip and booked by your company). read more

Le Meridien? Its hit or miss. It definitely feels cozy and more like a home away from home if you are staying here long term. I'm looking at ~ 100 nights at this hotel spread over 5 months so clearly I'm pretty ok with the place. So why only three stars? Some of the front desk staff are terrible. If you ask the bad ones to do anything, they will happily agree to your face, then forget about it once you walk away. For example, I asked if I could leave a key at the front desk for my girlfriend, when she showed up and talked to the same guy, he said he had no idea what she was talking about and she spent a half hour talking her way in. Thats pretty standard if you talk to the wrong front desk staff. The rooms can vary from amazingly nice to complete let downs. If you get a bad one expect luke warm water, low water pressure, windows that don't close with loud street noise all night, random vacuum noises that wake you up in the middle of the night, dusty carpet, doors that sound like they are opening every time your neighbor enters his room, and barely any space to move around. But I'm rating this 3 stars, aka A-OK, and staying here so much because... Some of the front desk staff are amazing. If you see Violetta Balint or Bastian Van Der Meer working then you are all set, these two are amazing. Those are some pretty complicated names, right? But they are so good that I wrote their names down just so I could post how good they are. Some of the rooms are amazing. Even before I had SPG status they would occasionally toss me into big beautiful rooms. The type of room that you just don't want to leave in the morning, incredible. The gym is the best hotel gym I've ever been to. I'm training for a marathon right now (started in pretty bad shape) and couldn't possibly have made myself ready without that gym. The pool is super nice too. On the other hand they give you chocolates every night for turn down service so I can run really far now but I'm still a fatty. Bonus points: the location is super convenient if you don't mind being surrounded by tourists. The wired and wireless internet is expensive if you aren't platinum but its legitimately fast. read more

First, you can't beat the location. The front door is a block from the Picadilly Circus Underground station, and there is lots of shopping, food and everything else right in the area: what manny say is the heart of tourist-London. Our room was completely updated and drop a pin quiet. It is an old, beautiful building that has been renovated--it reminds me of the W in Union Square NYC. Unlike the W staff (NY) the le Meridian's people could not have been more helpful. They checked our bags at 9AM after an overnight flight, gave us a club-lounge key so we could get a snack and suggested that we use the gym/spa to take a shower before heading out (check in is not until 3). We are Sheraton Starwood members, so there are many extras that go along with that--access to the club lounge and lots of free drinks and food. Upgraded rooms when available, free WiFi. So, our experience is a bit better than average. Our room was a suite--so I can't speak to the standard rooms. It was great. Or course it had that Sheraton mattress. The closets literally had more space than what I have at home--and I have a nice closet at home. When we checked in, they had staff upstairs in a heartbeat to make up the day bed for my son, bring us extra towels and explain the shower. That was much appreaciated because by the time we checked in after 5pm, we had been without sleep for 36 hours and needed to turn the lights out and snooze. The Starwood Members club has more than the typical Sheraton property. They serve a continental breakfast, afternoon tea with finger sandwiches, cookies and scones, as well as evening appetizers. There are sodas, as well as booze. This saved us $40 or more per day--when the kid was hungry, he could go get a snack. There is booze there, as well as soda, beer, waters and juices. The club could have used more staff--if for no other reason than to clean tables. It is very busy. The other small issues were a strange shower valve system--it is unnecessary to have a removable wand in the shower--let alone one for the tub and another for a shower head-- especially in a hotel. I'm not washing my dog on vacation. This made finding a good water temperature difficult. And we cycled through 7 or 8 key cards--they kept dying--becoming demagnetized. The desk clerk said to keep them out of your wallet, away from other cards and cell phones. That does not leave a lot of options. And I have never had these kind of issues before. I'm not sure what to make of it? You need your card to access the elevator, club level and obviously your room. They turned down the bed at night and left chocolate. The maids did a really nice job keeping the room nice. Overall, we were thrilled with our visit. read more

Great location! We booked via Priceline for a 5 star hotel and got the Le Meridien. I have traveled extensively and have stayed at many 5 star hotels and this one is definitely a SOLID 4 star but for the price we paid (we bid $169 + tax USD) who can complain? We were even upgraded to an "exclusive room." The location was perfect, no lies. We were within a block from one GREAT tube stop, Piccadilly Circus and we can walk to most shows and to Hyde Park. Also, the lobby was beautiful and the staff extremely accommodating BUT NO ENGLISH staff, all were from Eastern Europe! The only let downs are as follows: the room was not clean when we arrived (there was minor bathroom grossness that should not have been there). For continental breakfast, room service with tip was about $90.00 USD (CRAZY!). While I expect to pay more for room service, this was astronomical. Great tea and great rolls and croissants and we ordered 3 mornings, it was fun but expensive! Getting there from Gatwick (the cheapest and quickest way): take the Gatwick Express train from Gatwick airport (you can buy tickets just outside customs and they are about £12.50 each way I think) to Victoria Station (very crowded train and a 30 minute ride). The trains leave every 10-15 mins. When you get to Victoria Station, find your way downstairs to the taxi stand and get a black cab. The price is about £15 for the cab. You will pass Buckingham, Trafalgar Square and really awesome sights on the way. When you get to the hotel, they should be kind enough to have your room ready. I highly recommend this place and you will definitely enjoy yourself here! read more

This is a ""meh" experience. Small rooms. Unnecessarily long check-in due to Lord knows. The beds & rooms are European small. It is in the heart of Piccadilly Circus, so think Times Square in terms of crowds of tourist. My first room at this hotel was more like a dungeon with a window at the top and you could crawl up there and see some slimmy poles leaking all over the place. The second room was a dungeon where you could crawl up to the windows and see the McDonalds and Starbucks outside barely (mostly closed). Lots of sun came thru these curtains so sleeping in is hard to do. The room service is great..good spaghetti but not much on the menu to choose from too many curry dishes. The reason I will NOT stay at this Starwood property again is that the internet was slower than 5k/s at times worse than a dial up connection during the peak hours of the day it could take 30 minutes to send an email after it looses the data packets over and over again. They charge 20 POUNDS for internet it advertises HIGH SPEED which is a lie. There is nothing HIGH SPEED about this internet I got ripped off for. The manager would not credit this to my account and I am furious. If you like to be smack dab in the middle of the tourists time square like area then this is your hotel if you are not a business person and have no need for internet access and want to feel imprisoned in your rooms with old, squeaky floors. read more

Hmm... where do we start. Location. Insane. 6-stars. Right on Piccadilly just off the circus. Can't beat it. The hotel itself. That would be a 3.5-star. Recently renovated, so I think that should answer some questions below. Great club room overlooking the lobby, with a nice little happy hour. Rooms are decent (we were on the 5th floor), but nothing to write home about. There's a sense of age throughout the hotel, particularly in the infrastructure. Probably because it's a very old building. One item of note - the pool and fitness center is FANTASTIC. Probably better than my gym at home. Bring your gear. Service. 4-stars, the exception being the fact that the staff sometimes seemed a bit overwhelmed, and there wasn't the sense of seamless coordination you expect at a place like that. Another potential issue was that a solid proportion of the staff spoke English as a second language. No beef there (they speak English better than I speak any other languages), but it still becomes an issue sometimes. Overall, very solid experience. I will certainly stay here the next time my wife and I are in London. read more

I love the location of this hotel. Right at the heart of Piccadilly Circus! But service is extremely slow... and rooms are definitely dated. It took me 15 - 20 mins to check in. I'm a consultant and have experienced much longer lines at check in that took half the time. It was kinda of ridiculous how slow the front desk was because I was just 2nd in line and it took that long =\ The rooms are pretty dated and the bathrooms are just old... For the same amount of SPG points, you can get a more more modern and hip place at the W down the street. If I do stay here again, instead of going to the W (for the same amount of points) or the Park Lane (less amount of points) would be the club lounge. The W and Park Lane did not have a club lounge for me to use, but Le Meridien has a lounge with endless supply of bottled water. I love that I can take a small bottle with me everywhere I go instead of having to buy them all the time when I'm out. I didn't get to check out the gym... but I'm sure I will be back since my boyfriend really liked the club lounge here, haha. But out of the 3 SPG properties I stay at, I would say the W London is the best in room and service. read more

Dirty room to crash in that costs a lot of $. Poor service. This was a couple of years ago... (but after reading recent reviews on Yelp, not sure if much has changed). I travel frequently for business. Was here for biz and moved to this hotel for leisure for a few days before heading back to the US (I was at another 5-star hotel called the 'Royal Horse Guards Hotel' which was spectacular - absolutely a different "class" hotel. I used 36,000 Starwood points + ~$95 per night to "upgrade" after the management at this hotel directly solicited me offering the "upgrade" to a club room... I am a Gold SPG member. Dirty/moldy smell, weird paint fume small and smelled like someone had smoked cigars in here for 50 years (non-smoking room), unwashed robe (gunk from makeup? all over sleeves). Ick. Broken window latch, make up all over mirror in bathroom, TV didn't work, internet didn't work (took a while for them to figure out why). Weird room that overlooks a loud busy street. Just an all around poor experience and management just didn't care. Pool was awesome though, but I didn't go to London to stay inside and swim. Much better places in London for the price. read more

Harsh reviews for this place. But, I will not be one. We just wrapped up our week stay here. As a SPG we got the upgrade to a suite with included a lounge room attached to the master bedroom. Huge plasma TVs in both and tons of room and chairs to spread out. The bath was modern and had marble throughout. Huge, comfy bed and lots of storage space for all of your stuff. They are currently remodelling the lobby and lounge and the Club lounge was in the terrace restaurant. It was always great for some coffee, drinks or snacks. As an SPG you can also use the health club that is attached to the hotel. The hotel is also just steps away from the Picadilly tube stop to make getting around town very easy. read more

Stayed at this hotel during a weekend between a business trip in Europe, and heading back to the US. Cashed in points here so it only cost me the Internet service. Location was solid, near the West End for shows and lots of nightlife. Piccadilly Circus is just that, a circus. 5 minute walk to Leicester Square. 20 minute walk to visit the Queen; 20 minute walk to Big Ben / Parliament. Hotel room and hallway smelled like fresh paint from the time I walked in on Friday until the time I left on Sunday. Room was kind of small, but was adequate. 15 pounds for Internet service. Shower was nice and hot, and pressure was good. Fairly quiet room. Overall, I can't complain too much. Nothing outstanding, but not bad either. read more

If it had bee left entirely up to me, I probably never would have stayed here. It was booked by my boyfriend at the time, and when he told me we were staying at this place near Piccadilly, I sighed... I'd both visited and lived in London and tended to avoid Piccadilly Circus the way a New Yorker avoids Time Square. To me, a hotel near Piccadilly reads less like "prime location" and more like "gauche tourist trap." But the plans had been made, and I went along with them... Arriving at Le Meridien I was pleasantly surprised by grand and polished-looking exterior. The fact that it was so close to the Royal Academy of the Arts and Green Park was also a nice bonus. Walking inside, the lobby was equally grand... buttery-toned marble and lots of gilded fixtures. It was Easter weekend and they had little crystal bowls filled with colourful foiled-wrapped truffle eggs *everywhere* - I thought that was an extremely nice touch. The room itself was average-sized - far from roomy - and dark. The carpeting was dark, the wood was dark, the walls were dark... even the ceilings seemed low, which only added to the dullness of the atmosphere. The furnishings and look of the place were very far from being that of a luxurious hotel... I felt like I could have easily been in some business hotel near an airport and it all would have looked much the same way. Fortunately, there was so much we wanted to do in London, that we didn't see much of the room....I still have an aversion to Piccadilly Circus, but it may very well be that their Piccadilly location is one of the best things Le Méridien has going for it! read more

This is only a review of the Terrace cafe and not the hotel. My wife and I stopped by for Afternoon Tea because we have liked it in the past and do like the bright openness of sitting in the atrium. They offer three afternoon tea experiences - light tea (no sandwiches), regular tea, and Godiva tea (chocolate themed pastries). They have a good selection of teas for all tastes. The sandwiches were small and with only three choices (salmon, cucumber, and egg salad) were a disappointment. The scones were too few and too small with clotted cream the tasted more like butter. The pastries were decent. The real failure was the service though. Afternoon tea should be an indulgence both from a culinary perspective and a service perspective...essentially it is time to be pampered. Le Meridian missed the mark in many ways. Although the initial set-up was reasonable we had to request simple things like getting hot water to refill our tea pots, actually having to fill the tea pots ourselves, requesting additional sandwiches, and even requesting the bill when it was clear we had finished (e.g. we put our napkins on our plate). A non-intrusive waitress is best but one that is absentee is not. Additionally, the bar tender carried two large bags of trash through the dinning room which was just plain gross (apparently it was his first day and he didn't know better). Although you can save a few pounds going to Le Meridian for Afternoon Tea you are better off going to the Brown, Dorchester or Fortnum and Masons to get the real experience. I went for their Patisserie Party using an Amazon Local deal that I spotted while browsing the deal sites as I frequently do and what struck me most about this deal was the fact that it proclaimed you could indulge in unlimited cake! Yes, you read that correctly. Unlimited. The Oak Room Lounge in which the patisserie party is held is luxurious and girlie making it the perfect spot for anniversaries, hen parties or even your little princesses party. We were given prosecco in bowl champagne glasses rather than flutes and served tea in wonderful glass pots and cups. Then a small cake plate of sandwiches and scones was placed in front of us and I was a little disappointed that there only seemed to be one of each kind. We cut each of them in half so that we could each try them all and while they were nice we could probably have done with some more. (It's worth noting that I believe the ladies at the table next to us were presented with another round so it could be that more are available if only you ask but to be honest, with so many cakes in our sight it was probably a good thing that we didn't overstuff ourselves.) The scones were actually incredibly good but I decided to stick with just one so that I could sample as many of the cakes on offer as I could. There was a beautiful vanilla & mixed berries naked cake, chocolate fudge cake, macarons and lemon prosecco mousses. Cake pops, rocky road and (destroyer of my dreams) coffee cheesecake (I mistook it for chocolate, I can't stand coffee!) And the piece de resistance; a multi-layered rainbow cake covered in pink icing. I tried to show restraint but there was too much and I returned to the table with a plate overflowing with goodies. Everything (except that coffee cake) was delicious but incredibly sweet and it soon became clear that my eyes had been far too big for my belly. The atmosphere in the Oak Room Lounge is wonderful; not too laid back but not overly fussy either and I felt very much at home. This is a review for Le Meridien's Patisserie Party, which is a dessert buffet held on Sundays. Even with an AmazonLocal voucher, I thought it was a disappointing rip-off at £39. The room where it's held has old, tired, very fake decor and shabby carpet. The desserts were almost all subpar and some inedible. A lot of the cakes were dry. If you have decent standards for pastries or baked goods, go somewhere else. What's the point of paying for unlimited food if you can't even down it? The service was pretty good, though. The teas were just okay. They were worse than most of the teas I've had at other afternoon tea places. And it seemed that you had to go up to a waiter to get more tea. We were directed here after a black out st our original hotel (The W ) . When we arrived we received Terrible service , lied to us initially saying there were no rooms available only to find out there were plenty but they didn't want too many black people & they had no idea we were VIP guest at the W. we eventually returned and they realized we were a performing group and they gave us suites . Very old decor and flooring & terrible plumbing. They also set off the alarms in the hotel to wake us once the power was back on at the W. read more

Nice hotel very central but service leaves a lot to be desired. Rooms were not ready when we got there at 4 pm. I mean c'mon guys check in time is 3pm. On the last day the hotel water main got turned off and that meant no water in the morning :-( Will stay here again if we get a cheap deal as it is quite central and very close to the tube. Breakfast location was excellent but the quality mediocre. Hot stuff was cold, dry and tasteless. At £27 for breakie I expect a bit more than that. I won't be rushing back here at all. read more

Stayed here for 5 nights over new year's eve and received a great upgrade to a club room. Standard European hotel rooms are generally small and "cozy" but the room I received had two bathrooms, a couch, desk and was overall spacious. This hotel really is right by Picadilly Circus. If you want to be in the heart of one of London's most touristed areas, then this hotel might be for you. read more
