I called Dr. Momeni's office a total of three times to vet my insurance, the doctor, and his process before driving an hour for a consultation with Dr. Momeni. I spoke with two different women, including Shannon, and I was extremely thorough. I provided my specific UHC ID number and plan details. The first woman I spoke with told me they accept UHC "as an umbrella" no matter what the plan is. I didn't just take her word for it--I specifically asked for an official check to be efficient. She said sure, I know we take it but I'll "verify". She put me on hold and came back and said "Yes, we take your plan." I even called back a second time to double-check and was told "Yes" again. Momeni was scheduled as an early morning appt, I drove an hour, and took time out of my day. I filled out all the paperwork, gave insurance and Shannon came out and smugly announced they don't take my plan. Instead of treating me with kindness for their massive administrative error, she had a look of pure condescension and blamed me. She accused me of "putting myself in this position" by not disclosing my insurance--a flat-out lie since I gave them my ID number and they supposedly did an "official check" on it. When I responded that I would never do that, Shannon responded with a silent stare-down that lasted a full minute, and then said, 'We don't take your insurance' in a very stern, condescending voice. This was very disconcerting and patronizing. She behaved arrogantly and dismissive, as if she were trying to belittle me. It was frankly embarrassing to be treated with that kind of smugness after I had already double-checked my insurance with their office. And to be accused to deception is something that should have never happen.

I am writing you to express my extreme dissatisfaction with the finished product & the treatment I received from "Hazel", the individual that performed the "work done" with the hopes you can help remedy this situation. Hazel arrived over an hour late, was rushed, and completely disconnected from the task at hand. Given this was my first time getting fillers it would've been helpful for Hazel to properly explain what to expect. More directly, she used one syringe and the bags were never removed. The area underneath my eyes looked worse - even after 2 weeks. I called several times to make a follow up appointment, & sent pictures. On the second visit I was treated with "radio frequency" and Hazel admitted that she should've used 2 syringes and threw away the remainder of the 1st syringe during the first visit. Another week passed, my eyes still bruised, and I decided to go back for a 3rd visit...to rectify this mess once and for all. Again, after I waited an hour and a half to meet with "Hazel" what I personally witnessed from "Hazel" (aside from whether the work was or wasn't performed correctly) was an utter lack of respect towards a customer. I even said I would take my grievances online and to social media and I was told go do whatever. Never in all my years of visiting doctors offices have I seen a professional person act in such a disgraceful manner.
