You may have a good view from your apartment of downtown.... but you can always go to the 19th floor community patio area with views of the ATT Center, Alamo Dome, Tower of Americas and downtown! There is an outdoor and indoor space with a large screen tv, kitchen and bathrooms. We split our time in San Antonio and Spain. We also do other traveling often. We know everything will be OK when we depart, between the front desk staff and the security. The Vidorra is an easy choice for us in this chapter of our life's.

The apartments nearby can't compete with its price per sqft and charm. The positives: -Reasonable rent for the space -HEB Flores Market a block away (the only grocery store downtown) -Very close (a couple blocks) to the river walk; Bike trails; kayaking on the river -Exciting Southtown's great restaurants and night life -Quiet, yet friendly neighbors -Maintenance and Management are very responsive to requests -The basement is available for storing bikes and other items; Large storage units available. Our loft had a private access to the basement storage. -Covered parking -Historical building with its architectural beauty incorporated into the new modern loft aesthetic. -Nice countertops and wide plank wood floors. Stunning large windows with window boxes for flowers and a decent size porch. Windows and glorious high ceilings let in a ton of light. Impressive space for hosting friends. -Gated auto park with automatic openers, security cameras throughout. -Pet friendly Things to consider: -No community amenities such as a pool or workout room -Tenants must make arrangements to use the freight elevator. This requires a bit more planning but well worth it. This is a historical building after all, the freight elevator is not a familiar modern type. Verbally telling me as a nurse I should be able to email her during the business day even if I'm working (guess I thought my job was More important than it was) when I responded 1 business day late to her. FYI if your 60 day notice is late (from my experience) prepare for at least a 90% rent increase for ever day it's late. Read your contract too, if you were unaware your 60days was up then they did not properly inform you and you do not owe them that money. This is my honest review. I loved all the workers except for Diedra and the company as a whole is coming after your wallet and will take every cent they can in anyway they can.

However, it seems…read morethat renewing your lease is far more important that relaying updates or even a response back to a work order regarding MOLD! I am a current renter who placed a work order in on Saturday June 13th. It has been a little over a week(today is June 23) and it took me going to the front office to get an update (on June 22) on what the solution was going to be about the MOLD i found in my AC vent... in MY BEDROOM. I am 8.5 months pregnant, and up until the last week i enjoyed my time at these apartments. The location was convenient, staff was friendly, maintenance was Always respectful and polite. But since this new management team has taken over, this place does not feel like a home. Work orders typically had a turnaround time of 24-48 hrs. So this makes no sense to me. When i went to the front desk, i asked about an update for my work order, i was informed "we have had to let several people go so we are running with two maintenance men at the moment". Which, fine! But the explanation on why my apartment hasn't been checked was what got me. I was told "i printed out all the work orders and they are aware of them all and are working through them as best as they can, if they are not in your unit by today, they will be there sometime in the morning. It is currently 1:32pm and yet NOT ONE person has been in my unit. Oh but let me not forget to inform them if I will be renewing my lease! I have received a total of 6 texts, 11 emails (from June 4-June 22) about renewing my lease and not one text/email with an update on my work order. I informed the front desk woman that i was not renewing (the mold definitely played a part in my decision) and turned in my form right then and there. Any consideration of renewing left when lease renewal took precedence over health. Hopefully this gets their attention, because this is definitely a management issue and not a maintenance issue. Their lack of staffing should not risk the health of renters and management needs to prioritize the work orders and not just hand off to maintenance and let them figure it out. ***UPDATE*** Since Beatriz is based out of Austin and has clearly no professional experience when it comes to accountability, let me add an update. The cleaners mentioned showed up the next day. Thank goodness! In their professional opinion they mentioned, yes, that the AC setting should be set to "auto" not "on". This is my second lease here, and i moved to this unit to upgrade from the smaller one i was in. NOT ONCE DID anyone mention this to me, nor have i experienced this in any apartment I've called home., BUT also poor design. They mentioned how the layout for the vent in the shower/restroom pushed the air to the bedroom causing poor ventilation and being a big part of the mold issue. So it was a combination of both things. Now had the ac setting been mentioned, i would have gladly taken accountability. Clearly something you do not know anything about. My review was more so to draw attention to the facts... it took me writing this review to get a response and/or action 7 BUSINESS DAYS LATER. It was the lack of urgency and accountability in action and response that was more of concern, second to the initial work order, MOLD. Beatriz, a more respectful response would have been to leave a number and have me contact you to get my side. A review CLEARLY does not allow enough space to give ALL details. Your lack of knowledge and information regarding this situation is clear. Had you attempted to reach out to speak to me this could have been taken care of with the office here. But because you chose the right one, i didn't have time to make this edit, but i MADE time. It is now public. This is only one of the many concerns and issues that happen here. This complex is not a place to call home anymore. There has been SEVERAL vehicle break-ins, all within the same day or days apart. Vandalism to vehicles(caused by hit and runs). Elevators constantly being broken down and taking days to repair so if you live on the first floor but have to park all the way up because there's no open spots on the lower levels, the stairs is the way to go.(good luck if you're on the 6th floor parking). Break-ins to storage units. I've had my street access door almost broken(or entry attempts) several times. As well as things stolen off my porch (like my shoes). I could go on. But public do what you will with this info.
