They have plenty of occult supplies so if you know what you want you're set. However, I've twice asked while in the store for advice on a situation I'm working on and both times was told to send an email to their info address. I sent the first one that day and got no reply. The shop is so cool, everyone working is willing to help you with questions you may have. Shamus is so generous and was so helpful with questions we had as well as so easy to talk to and have a conversation with. The herbal section is limited and only in one size. The male staff are not friendly to females, I've noticed.They didn't carry any silver women's rings (especially the thin ones that I've been trying to find). The books are mostly popular mainstreamed books. I miss the good ole days when unknown authentic authors published their modest books that had REAL useful information - while most modern books are exhausting repeat of other authors ad nauseam. Tried to return many times to see if their attitude would improve, never did. So off I go to other stores instead. read more

I didn't get a reading, but I witnessed the worst tarot card reading I've ever seen, and she admitted it was the worst she'd ever given. I'm not a good reader, but I would've done a better job than this chick, who basically read the titles of the cards (which are written on them) and the positions (which is textbook: significator, base of the matter, hopes and fears, final outcome...). She knows textbook tarot, but struggles with making it cohesive and has zero intuition. I do think she has the potential to get better with practice. She's got a learned foundation, but she's definitely not there yet and shouldn't be charging people until she improves. read more

Worst reading ever by Valerie. She basically told me what cards were in which positions but did zero interpretation. SHE even said it was her worst reading ever. There was no intuition at all. it was like she just told me what she'd memorized from a book. if I wanted that, I could just read a book myself. Very disappointed. It was like she wanted the cards to read themselves. Seriously. She literally said, "This is good. This is good. I don't know why this is here. This doesn't make sense. This is good, but I don't know how we get to here. In the Rider-Waite deck, this would be the devil, which isn't' good. Can you make sense of it? This outcome doesn't work with the foundation card that you got. Do you read reversals?" Does that make any sense to you? It didn't to me. Yes, I can read cards. Yes, I am a VERY GOOD reader. I am a third generation card reader who has been reading cards since I was 8 years old, but I am not paying myself to read for me. I am paying HER. I want to know what it means TO HER. Can I just get what I paid for? And the worst part was that she said she had all sorts of divination: palm, runes, and cards, I think. I told her to do what she did best. And she chose cards. Tsk. Worthless. Anybody can have a bad day. When it's not clicking, you know it and just refund the person and reschedule for another day. I would have had more respect had she done that. Stopped in here to browse and see what's available. There's an altar near the entrance that's marked. They have candles, tarot cards, runes, signs, herbs and books. I suppose I should start with some backstory or my review won't make sense. Long story short, I've had a female haunt tormenting me for the last 20-something years. She follows me from house to house; no matter where I am, there she is. It's the same eerie, dark feeling that you have when you're around an awful person. It's like someone you can't see or hear is screaming "GET OUT!" Not pleasant. I finally reached my breaking point and found this place. It had everything I needed! Plus, the man who worked there gave me amazing advice! It's always a bonus for me when the store employees know their retail. I've been an atheist for quite a long time. I was raised in a very fundamentalist Christian home and I never really had any choice about my beliefs, so as soon as I left home, I pretty much just dropped them. Christianity wasn't a good fit for me and I was just kind of lost, spiritually. I started researching Paganism and feel drawn to Wicca due to having a good friend on the path. I'm very new to it all but I like how it's an earth based religion and how it seems centered on the here and now. I researched some metaphysical shops in the area and came upon this one. I made my first trip in yesterday. I was pretty nervous but as soon as I walked in, I was greeted by the very friendly owners and welcomed in. They let me browse freely and were helpful without being pushy or smothering me. It was a really warm and nice experience. They recommended a couple of books for me to check out. They have lots of books and candles and supplies and I really enjoyed myself just looking at things and being curious. I wound up picking up a couple of books, some incense and a calendar. They suggested I check out their candle magic class which will be coming up in September and I am very interested in going. If you are new to Paganism or just curious about it, I really recommend this place. It's inviting and helpful and I didn't feel judged or laughed at for my ignorance on the subject. This is the first spiritual store I have visited in Ohio and I felt as though I received a very warm welcome. The moment I stepped in this space I felt safe and happy. I browsed for a minute before I was asked if I needed help and was glad that not only did he want to know what I came in for, but why I was coming in for it. The gentleman who helped me was very sincere and considerate of my needs. I also paid a very fair price for a bundle of white sage and palo santo. I really enjoyed the size of the space, and everything in it was of good quality. The fact that it has a community alter warmed my heart. I will definitely stop by this shop again. read more

This is everything I would want in a magickal supply store. The selection of basic tools - candles, oils, incense, crystals, cards, books, etc. - was impressive. I was particularly struck by the gorgeous t-shirts and statues. The staff was friendly and helpful. I like that they had a community altar in the front. The people at the shop are excellent and resourceful. I am new on the path and I have found them to be most helpful. One thing that I have noticed though is that if they do not have it and you need/want it; they almost always are able to get it for you. The environment up there is unique. You eve have a couch to set on and carry on conversations with everyone. IF you have not been there, I suggest that you go. When Fly By Night closed down, Columbus was left without a good brick-and-mortar metaphysical store and community center. I'm glad Magical Druid opened to fill the spot. Their Pacemont and High store offers more space than the old one, and a downstairs area for religious functions and meetings. In terms of products, their real best offerings are the carved woodwork products, in my opinion. Seamus and Mike are both very knowledgeable, and are working to provide a great center for the earth-based religious movement in Columbus. read more
