As a surprise date night, my husband got us tickets 2 months in advance. My husband loves magic, so I had actually looked into getting tickets for his birthday in the summer, but they were sold out for a while. The show took place in the fotografiska museum, so if you have the time to come early to check out the museum before the show or stay after to check out the museum, you should. It's filled with photography and artwork that's worth checking out while you are there because tickets to this show are pricey $$$. Not knowing where we were going, I was told we had to be there at 6 for a 6:30 show and they don't allow late arrivals. We ended up sitting in the front, though we had tickets for the back row. Seems like this was deliberate by the show when they choose who goes up to stage and is planned ahead of time. I was given a key by the magician at the beginning of the show, which later comes to play at the end of the show. He seemed like a lively individual that was invested in engaging the audience. It also made me sit and think about life and how amazing it must be for some people whose professions are things they actually enjoy. The audience was really into the show. When you sit down they have cards that come into play later in the show, truffle popcorn (killer amount of salt), and some water. You can order food/drinks off of a limited menu. The card trick done with the whole audience did not work out for me, but another image guessing one did. I liked when he wove in personal stories into the show like how he got into magic, (don't know if true or a story to tie to the act) story about losing $100 and would have liked to hear more. I was asked to give the key to box back at the end and read a letter with our names in it at and I got to keep the letter I read as a memory of the show, which was cool. I would have liked to see a little bit less of the card tricks and had them replaced with other magic tricks, maybe levitation. It's always a good thing when you leave wondering how he did some of the tricks. It's a pricey show $300+, a bit too pricey if I'm honest, but if you're looking for something different in nyc then I would go,

Insane! My brain hurt after seeing this performance because I couldn't comprehend it. Dan White is actually magic. He is also an incredible performer, he keeps you very engaged. I was very much entertained and also puzzled as to how he was doing things. I loved every minute. It can get a bit chilly so bring a sweater.

Attended The Magician's online show last weekend all the way from California and had a great experience. Dan White did a great job making sure everything went smoothly from the time of ordering tickets, to getting mystery boxes shipped out to attendees, to making sure everyone could access the latest version of Zoom. He even asked everyone to dress up... so we could feel like we were actually going out to a live show, and also to be seen on camera (though muted unless participating). I've been to many magic shows in person, and I can say it was definitely missing some of kind of tricks that can only be done live and in person, those with bigger props and audience members coming on stage. But Dan White did a great job getting audience participation, even with this online version. He did a combination of illusions, mind reading, sleight of hand, and an unexpected surprise at the end... he would pick on different partipants for some tricks, and others he would have everyone participate. There's a number of cool things in the mystery box (and bag) that he mails out a week before the show, but cannot open till instructed during the show. A couple of his tricks I've seen other magicians do, but most were new to me and had me amazed, and the way he kept the audience engaged kept it fun... with a few laughs throughout the hour and a half show. It's definitely a great date night activity (especially if you are worried about interacting in person during COVID), you can eat and drink whatever during the show since you're at home (sober or not), and because he has everyone dress up, it's a good set up for going out afterward (if you are vaccinated and have events/venues with great nightlife in your city). That's what my partner and I did, which made for a great Saturday night. I especially think The Magician deserves 5 stars because although it's not super original and out of this world, it's absolutely great value (if more than one person)... you pay one price and can have up to four attendees. And though I saw mostly adults in the show I attended, it's appropriate for all ages, so also a great option for enjoying something different with family.

What a great show, a must see, don't want to spoil anything Thank you Dan White and staff

Great magic show. Dan White is a genius at his craft. I kept saying, "How did he do that" all night. Tons of audience participation is happening so no seat is better than the other. Waitstaff is so friendly. Highly recommend. We had 6 PM tickets. The show started at 6:30 but you really do have to get there at 6 so you have time to order your drinks and snacks. He said the comped truffle popcorn was good/interesting. They give you a second bowl comped for the second act. Theres a 15 minute intermission. Fun time. We were out at 8:40.

The Quick: **No spoilers here** magic is real! What a fun and thrilling experience, in the absolutely gorgeous Nomad Hotel! Good for date night or special occasion. The Details: what an impressive magician! From the moment you walk into the hotel, so when you leave fascinated, the whole experience is fun and lively. Tickets sell out way in advance, so plan early. The drinks and food are pretty delicious as well, but a tad pricey. Enjoy! The Damage: I believe tickets are around $100 each, which includes the show and small snacks.

Such an amazing show, we had such a good time! I won't give anything away but this is definitely the best virtual show we've attended, hands down. Very interactive and entertaining, and of course we left wondering "whoa, how did he do that?!" The box that came with the show was definitely a fun delight, and definitely made the show much more interesting. I highly recommend the show if you're looking for a special night in, just a word of caution to purchase your tickets EARLY. We waited 2+ months for our show, but totally worth it.

When does January tickets open for sale?? Hi does anyone still have tickets they are trying to sell?

I have 2 tickets that I need to sell for the 1/18/20 show.

Are kids allowed at the show? Thinking of taking a 9yo with her friends for her bday. Also would bring the 5yo

We were informed that this show is 18+ admission

    What times are the shows?

    I believe there's a 6:30 early show and a 9:30 late show

Is general admission still a decent view?

General Admission is fine. Dan White walked around constantly. We were in the front row and had to turn around so many times to see what was going on in the back.

Does anyone know the dress code?

No dress code but wear something at least smart casual or better if you don't want to feel underdressed.

Is anyone looking for tickets to the show? I have 2 Premier tickets for March 14 at 10:30PM. Please message me if interested

    Are they still available? cost?

Anyone looking for tickets? I have 4 available for Jan 4 at 1030 please respond or msg me?

Sure. How much are you asking? How can I verify they are legit?

He was funny (as accurately advertised), engaging, and good at his job! lol We hired Allen very last minute for a community talent show hosted by our church. We were grateful for his availability and quick correspondence. He arrived early for our sound check and was easy to work with. We had him on stage for 30 min then on walk around for the 30 min intermission. The stage performance was fantastic. Allen works the crowd up and gets people involved. The room shifted quickly from entertained applause to a loud "OH SNAPS"and "NOOO". I stepped outside during intermission but could hear very clearly the intermittent "OHHHHH's" as Allen performed his walk-around. Long story short - I am very thankful Allen pursued his magic side gig and I'm on the lookout for another chance to hire him.
