U-Haul scam - stay away!…read more I rented a box truck from this 3rd party U-Haul location in January 2024 (EZ Ship off Academy). After returning the truck, the shop manager charged an exorbitant "fuel" charge in the amount of $53. I drove less than 40 miles. I called the store manager to inquire about the fuel charge. Their response was that I should not have placed keys in the drop box, and that I should have physically entered the store to return the box truck. The manager then said that it was likely that another individual siphoned fuel from the truck after it was dropped of at the store. The manager said that I was responsible for someone siphoning fuel out of the truck while the truck was on the store's property, and after the truck had been locked with keys placed in the lockbox. After pleading my case the manager refused to offer a refund, citing a u-haul policy (which was not reviewed adequately during time of contract signing). This experience was extremely disappointing, stay away! Fuel charge will be disputed with CC company and complaint will be submitted to U-Haul.

She took special care to make sure everything was perfect and I was out the door in no time with my brand new photos that will bless me on several Euro trips, I am sure. The store was clean and interesting with lots of cool items. The only downside was that she said I would get my digital passport copies in my email in an hour. I called at the end of the day, and they just said to wait. I called again a few days later and gave my information and he said even though he didn't take them, he would try to look. I got my photos taken last week on a Thursday and it is a week later (Wednesday), and I guess I have to accept I'm not getting the digital copies sent to me. My email on the receipt is correct, and I've checked my Junk folders and everything. I double checked my email at the place so I know it would have gotten to me if they would have actually sent them. So just look out that if you are planning to renew your passport online, hopefully you'll get your digital prints, but I did not. No worries though, I might just go up in the future and get another photo taken and try again. I would still recommend the place. Edit: It's Thursday, and Tammy did call me this morning to say they would be sending photos my way - so great service! I really appreciate the help.

Upon reading the document it looked like it was signing us up for a monthly subscription service of some kind and I questioned it - and the tech said that is not what it was for - but just for that days service -only - which included their standard 30 day return check up respray visit and the only thing that would be charged was the one visit; That "we were not signing up for anything additional" - like we arranged on the phone call to get them out there in the first place. He also said he would not be able to conduct the work without the document signed which permitted them to work on the property and the document was just a standard one that is needed every time. We sign the agreement for: "allowing them permission to access the property for coming out there today, and nothing else." Two documents, one for what he claimed was to access the property and another to acknowledge the use of the chemicals they were using and things proceed at pace. Fast forward two months later they signed us up for a subscription plan of some kind which we certainly did not agree to, stating that document as the premise and tried to drop by and schedule, on their own, return visits - which we certainly did not agree to. Sneaking the up sell fraudulently as the "standard document for the service call." Luckily I got it all on camera. Not only that they never did get rid of the wasp problem in the first place and the store bought twin pack cans seem to continue to do a better job. Your mileage may vary, but I will be warning my friends and family about soliciting these guys for business with dodgy practices like that.

The young man who preformed the service was courteous, knowledgeable and efficient. We were absolutely amazed at how many wasps nests he found and removed around our house - at least six or seven! By far, the best mailbox rental company I've yet to find. In addition, they also offer the convience of mail services, notary, and other necessities. You name it, they got it! Prices are also a friendly doing on your wallet. I struggle to find anything remotely related. Plus, the one of a kind, outstanding customer service this localy owned small business provides is priceless unlike Walmart. But oddly I still spend more time checking my mail then I would going grocery shopping but it'definatly due to their ability to strike a good conversation. Heather will make your day! These wonderful people sure help me out! I have some medical issues and waiting in line at the post office is the last place I want to spend my time. Whether I need a place to drop off my pre-paid Amazon returns for UPS to pick up, or I need to send a special package to my folks and need it packaged securely (with multiple shipping options available), or an important set of papers needing return receipt etc. they are super helpful and I never doubt my package will make it to the carrier. I am willing to pay a little more for the extra service and assistance, and also I appreciate the extra touch the shop is providing, like inexpensive lamination, awesome cards, sweet little charms and gifts as well as local artisan products. Totally sweet place and locally owned and operated, and open a half day Saturday too! read more

Excellent Customer Service! I have had a box at The Mail Center for nearly two years and I can't say enough about the great service I receive. I travel a lot and they are very quick to forward my mail to me whenever I am not in town. When I am in town, they greet me by name the moment I walk in and immediately grab my packages from the back so I never have to wait. They will even help me load my car if the packages are many. When Lisa left, I almost left because they had a dip in service for a while however the new team is fantastic! Alexandria has been an amazing addition and the new manager is great as well. I will definitely keep renting a box here and recommend them to anyone looking to rent a mailbox. You will not be disappointed! read more

This place is wonderful, especially Lisa!!! I bought a pair of 50-lb vintage speakers off eBay as a birthday present for my friend and needed them packed and shipped to New York. Not being in Colorado Springs, I called around to all the FedEx Offices, UPS Stores--no one could figure out how to pack the odd-sized speakers. Then I found Mail Center on Google, and got Lisa on the phone. Not only did she find a creative packaging solution, but actually gave a cheaper price for UPS Ground than the UPS Stores. I had some time sensitive paperwork I needed to process and mail overseas (adoption paperwork), I went to the mail center thinking it would be just one of several stops I was going to have to make that day. But I was able to get my papers notarized, make several copies, receive and send some faxes, and then DHL everything to Spain! They even had the DHL shipping folders for free. This is a great local business, very knowledgeable and took the guess-work out of shipping and gave me peace of mind! read more

I had to go for a fingerprinting appointment for a name change. The employees were super efficient and extremely kind. They answered all of my questions and respected when I needed a bit of space since I have Tourette's syndrome. They were understanding about this and were incredibly friendly. Since renting a PO Box here I visit them almost three times a week. Sometimes not even to check my mail or ship something- I'll just stop in to peruse their funny greeting cards and say "hi" to their awesome employees. Even if they weren't on the way to my work at the Air Force Academy (Go Falcons!) I'd go out of my way to be their customer! Five Star business! read more

I arrived 5 minutes after closing and they graciously opened the doors and processed my shipment (after all of the computers were closed out for the night). It's safer to drop off mail here because theives have been stealing from residential mail boxes... and taking deliveries from people's porches! I'm glad that I already had postage stamps on me. Apparently there is no way to for one post office to contact another post office other than emailing, which seems insane to me. Maybe they are nice as others have indicated, but they sure are not responsive to someone who is trying to find out what the problem is with getting my package delivered. Glad I don't live in Monument and have to use that post office. At least my post office answers their phone.
